There is no way to cover the ranking panel on a osu skin
You cover it if you tweak the skin to have a picture or a word on there
but i think there is no other way to cover it

The ranking panel is a skin element, so by using any ranking-panel.png file you will be covering the default one. wiki/en/Skinning/Interface#ranking-screen
You'd have to either find a ranking-panel.png from another skin you have, then copy/paste it into the skin folder of the skin you want, or make your own one (not really recommended, unless you want to spend decent time making one, since you havent skin before). Just incase, you can open your skin folder(s) by going to osu settings -> skin section -> "open current skin folder".
