here is a simple idea for some YouTube osu! content possibility, in the setting make an option to set the background dim to transparent, meaning your desktop would be shown.
I think this would be a good idea, as I use a program called Lively, and it lets you set you background to a interactable fluid simulation, so on YouTube, you could record your gameplay with a really satisfying background, there is a video of someone making something similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdR0dBKThco&t
I know some people would not like this as it would be distracting, but it would add a whole new sort of idea of synced visual music, would it not be interesting to have that implemented?

Slightly more realistic/sensible idea would be to have an option in lazer that allows you to select your own background image/video for all maps, which replaces map and default backgrounds. Not sure theres a need to have your desktop if you just want essentially custom videos as bgs. Sounds good though

Also, in the future, this sort of thing should be in the Feature Request Forum :)
