here is a simple idea for some YouTube osu! content possibility, in the setting make an option to set the background dim to transparent, meaning your desktop would be shown.
I think this would be a good idea, as I use a program called Lively, and it lets you set you background to a interactable fluid simulation, so on YouTube, you could record your gameplay with a really satisfying background, there is a video of someone making something similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdR0dBKThco&t
I know some people would not like this as it would be distracting, but it would add a whole new sort of idea of synced visual music, would it not be interesting to have that implemented?
