Should I switch to the 472?

I currently use the Gaomon s620, and it's worked well so far, but I don't know if it's a tablet I'll use forever. It would be great to have a tablet with no hardware smoothing, although the smoothing on the s620 is hardly noticeable as is. Lifeline switched from the s620 to the 472 a few months ago and was very impressed with it, and I trust his judgement as a top 10 player. However, I'm not sure how much better the 472 is or if it's worth spending extra money while I already have a decent tablet. To people who have played with both tablets, or own either of them, is the CTL 472 worth it in my situation?

Follow what your heart says. Look up some stuff online about it and see if it’s actually worth it in the end. I don’t use those tablets tho, so I’m not sure.

I own only the 472 and gotten it because of the no hardware smoothing that it comes with. I use the official Wacom drivers and have had zero problems setting the pen and mapping settings. The pen it comes with has buttons so you might need to make some amends if you plan on rolling your pen with tape. I don’t have any experience with the 620 so I cannot say which of the two is better but the 620 is definitely something you can play with and many have for a long time.

472 is an all-time winner in Wacom Tablets. Probably the only worthy upgrade from the 480.
