If we did add a wall, it would remind me of playing a circle version of beat saber, like with the walls 'n' stuff.
I'd find it kinda interesting to see another thing you have to worry about in osu! But what about the other game modes? How would you dodge a wall in Mania? Or Taiko? I'd understand CtB but the others would just be confusing to me, otherwise you can find a nice way to do so that wouldn't hurt my head more then those 2 game modes do, but really?
I wouldn't like to judge, but this just seems a bit strange.
This would be a complete game changer, of which I wouldn't find likely to be added if so because those game changers may just haven't been added in a while, but your opinion counts ^^
I'd find it interesting, wouldn't be my favorite tho.
Edit - Would they have to add a mod to remove the walls too, or would they just keep it like that? Just a question
Yeah I see how that would not work with the other modes. But as another reply suggested it would be better as another gamemode. Not to sure about how that might work. To answer your question I think it it's self would be better as a mod or a gamemode, or maybe even just a setting that you can turn on or off for maps that are built with it(kinda like the hit sounds and skins are) I think not only would it be cool to see but could also be used to make some interesing auto maps, And I agree it does seem a bit strange.
for new players it probaly would not be much of a problem if it was just in the game normaly but if you were to force it on whitecat, koifishu or any popular/original players it would be way harder for them to get used to it but as a mod or setting they have a choice to have it on or off.
If you were to add a wall(that was square shaped and filled the play area) into the mania and taiko not quite sure because those are hard ones, it could be as simple as just a thing that if you click it would take your health down a little more than missing a note for mania. but for taiko, I don't play taiko as much so I do not know exactly how the health in taiko works (you gain health by hitting the drum things, correct?) if that is the case it could be as simple as not completely but just by about removing a quarter or less of your combo, but is that really dodging I think that would be more like a fake circle.
If you use it--it would probably be able to increase your speed and be good practice if you use it on jump maps, however, if it is a setting there needs to be a way to make it so the wall is not in the middle when a circle or a spinner are.
sorry about the 4 day late response
