The reason I'm hosting is that Mara asked me to after having issues with the RG server. Well, that was the reason, now it's public.
I guess I'll check out your shit some time. I'll be greatly disappointed if there aren't Touhou sprites everywhere, though.
The RG server wasn't really optimized to handle clients, at all. It ran Vanilla, so it should say that much. To be honest, I had a good 20ms to the RG server, since it's not too far away from me, and the AUS server that Ephemeral is running is better lag wise.

And, touhou sprites? ffs

Well actually, the world was so damn huge since people went everywhere, which caused massive RAM-omnom. The server was not laggy for people who were in the US (except for Xanek, who lags everywhere). And the only reason why it lagged so much was due to it being on the shitty VPS for a long while. The move to the better VPS cured alot of lag issues.
Anyway, get rid of the multi-world plugin so the laggy australian server can come back. (Since people seem to like that one better.)

After about 3+ hours of Ephemeral testing out plugins, we found a configuration that's low on RAM usage and does include the nether.
Should run fine and shouldn't lag like ass after a long uptime now. :P

since its a pvp server, and there is stores where u can sell stuff, are we encouraged to steal stuff and sell it for money? o_o

aye lava they take about 7-8 life away as soon you touch them plus the burning just find water and jump in

and just to make sure ... the server that i go to (a private one) the currency of it is in souls when you make a sever you can change the name of money right ?

and testing the sever by overloading it is a ****** a lot of tnt

all you need are iron door and place a button somewhere but those iron doors are annoying

well i can't help you there im not good with making hidden places only good at making rooms underground with TNT and the Superpickaxe (you can get if you where an admin

i would post in pictures of the things i do but im not sure they are good tho and the sever i go on is more of a creative place and people don't bother with anyone else so.... yeah........

meh i just tend to do things anyway i can really .....i just don't care how i just do and if i were to do all that with out the thingy i would just play single player mode im just doing that just of the fun of it.... yes getting tnt and other things by using the admin tools JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT

Server is offline until the Bukkit team updates Bukkit, which is the server's thing for administration/plugins/stability.
Also, Xanek, learn to hide your damn stuff better. No one has found my house yet. Zeverage, I found out you never found my house. You be trollin' me. =(

How do you have so many cloth blocks? Did you abuse the fact that sheep drop wool on death now and leave a passive mob spawner running, or what?

hey my old one stayed active for three!

it only stopped because someone else decided to host a US based one, which promptly fell to shit after some hosting issues.

the old server i was on always wipe everything once in 14 days.
Pirate-friendly and PVP.
Not the best combination but it helps gather newcomers.
But it's unstable so we get kicked once every hour.

Love Minecraft so much. In terms of actual playing, I've mostly been doing single player using the YogBox mod pack. If you guys can get a stable server up and running though, I'd gladly join you.

I've actually never played minecraft.

Is it worth my time? Also I have a dedicated server I'm doing next to nothing with and if there's interest I'll set up a server. This pretty much goes for any game. PM me if you want.

Yeah it's worth your time. Hosting one is a slut though, as they eat RAM and cpu at unreasonable levels. Make sure you use Bukkit, vanilla runs awful. Might be worth using virtual box and running mineos, worked wonders for me.

True, Bukkit is way better. And yes, Minecraft is worth of the time/buying the game. Especially now with the 1.8 upgrade, you can buy for 15€ because it's not fully released yet. Final price will be 20€.

Incredible. Sakuya in particular, but they're all amazing. Wish I could do sprite work like this, I can run the game fine but my pc is a little ways off from handling stuff on this scale.
