Trigger finger?

I'm not sure if this is trigger finger or not, but from reading about it, it seems like it. I don't think it's carpal tunnel either. A couple days ago, I was playing and on my mouse hand, my index finger went numb instantaneously and unexpectedly, the numbness shot up into my forearm. My index finger also stayed in a bent position for a few seconds even when I tried to straighten it, and my finger actually hurt quite a bit only for that time period, the numbness sustained for a minute or two before it went away. And since then, my index finger will snap to it's bent position, and when I bend it back, it'll snap into the straight position, there is no in-between position. Has anyone else had a similar issue and has gotten it diagnosed? I'm not sure if I should take a break or not.

I know this sounds like bad advice but just ignore it. If the numbness stays and your finger hurts for longer periods of time make an appointment with a doctor and take a break from the game.
This is really dumb advice and how you end up with permanent damage. Please don't do this.

Take a break for a while, 4-6 weeks is recommended for this type of injury. If you still feel pain after some time, go to the doctor. Don't do any strenuous activities with your injured fingers. When you do feel back to 100%, start doing warmup exercises before you play. Don't overdo yourself again.
