Beginner Trying to Create a Catcher level

This is my first time trying to create a map specifically a catcher type beatmap. The song I'm trying to do is "Plastic" by Jaden Smith. Can anyone provide some tips, and tricks, or point me to videos that can help in my beat mapping process? I'll even pay for someone to create it for me ($10 - $15 USD)

It's fine to ask for advice and tips on mapping, but please try to never pay for commissions.

Learning how to map is a tedious process of trial and error, actually going into the editor and trying stuff out is the first step you should take before asking for experienced help.

There are however a few catch mapping videos out there that are a few years old, like this that might help you grasp the basics.
