I Lost all of my maps cuz i changed my name?

I cant upload my maps anymore cuz osu say "im not the owner of that beatmap"..... wtf is this bs
can someone tell me what to do

ey i guess thats what you get for changing your name.funny part is i payed to get my beatmaps destroyed FEELS GOOD

This is a common issue among mappers, and there's almost always a way to fix it.

Have you tried manually changing the "Creator" in the .osu file to your current name, if not, please give it a try.

Also give the guide another read and follow the instructions step by step.

The reason why it happens to all mappers after changing the name was because the BSS system can only recognize mappers through name and not user ID.

That's not the consequence of changing your own name, just a known bug.

it'd be weird to see all of someones maps change creators all of a sudden, with ranked maps especially (and especially with a certain someone who somehow has the money to buy username changes)
