What are the gameplay factors for higher star diff?

So I created my map I wanted it to be like 8 stars, and oh god I didn't do it good I'm gonna start over.

It's a 4.66 stars map and in my opinion it should be 5-5.5 (I play 5-6 stars in general so I know).

Well I probably didn't map it right, BUT I used the ranking criteria. so that's why I'm asking that xd I need an 8 star map.

Map for the song, not for star rating.
Maps only mapped for star rating usually play like shit.

Star rating is affected by the speed, distance and angle between the objects. Wide angles increase the star rating more than sharp angles. But as Endaris said, the star rating shouldn't be your main focus when making a map. Try to represent the song and increase the spacing/rhythm density later if you want.
