I've honestly never had to deal with any hardship so far in my life and I am honestly wondering how much of it is because of ym ability to avoid problem and how much of it is just raw luck. It's one thing that makes me very stressed out about the future because I doubt I have the mental fortitude to go trough hard time since I've never had to deal with any and in an adult life messing up is very damaging.

there's a few things called "desperation in rough times", "boredom", and "ignorance". either can be perfect reasons as to why someone would do any of it. people can gamble in rough times out of the perceived necessity to get money from bets in order to survive, as opposed to anything else, especially considering that the gain is more immediate than waiting for a paycheck. same can apply to drugs and cigs, but this time more as stress relief. some drugs just help to distract you from shit in life, and cigs can relieve a little stress. boredom and ignorance are self-explanatory, but yeah. those are generally why people do what they do in those regards, from what i've seen and considered.

^ I just took a test to check since I never thought about it and my result was 48. It probably isn't too reliable since it's just one try and writing random text takes lnoger than text that you thought off. < I'm feeling moderately apprehensive about how school will go this year. Pretty busy this time around, though I suppose that's not necessarily a bad thing, I'm at least happy that I'm somewhat more productive than I used to be last year.

> I've managed to get skilled enough to beat a Hard level AI on Starcraft's 1vAI mode. It's mostly a matter of managing multiple things at a time and effectively using your units, while constantly producing the units and upgrades you need, expanding bases every 6 minutes or so until your third base, then taking a fourth or fifth about 10 minutes afterwards. This'll keep your economy steady so that you can freely use up and spend all your minerals and gas on units, allowing you to have a more expendable army. I'm still pretty slow though, and I haven't really learned to use any control groups or cameras or stuff like that, but I can manage simple hotkeys for commands.
