i've had the name Clubby since summer 2015.
i was playing Geometry Dash, and there was this song i really liked, "Clubstep".
so i named myself ClxBStxP

one day i decided to make an account on Geometry Dash but ClxBStxP was taken, so i shortened it down to ClxB, and that was taken as well, so after a bit of thinking, i Added -by and changed the x back to a u and it gave Clubby!

I got involved with a credit card scam when I was like 8 with some other game where they promised free stuff and all you had to do was put 'gui' in front of any username you wanted. I chose guinoodlecake and it stuck from there

just smashed my face on my keyboard and this was the result. i actually smashed my face a couple of times because some of the results weren't that good. and this was probably the best one. the pronunciation of it is really weird like kishium, kushum, kikushum. so i like to pronounce it shun instead. ;p

And finally in High school my parents bought me an electric drum kit (which I never anymore use because it lacks a tom and doesn't sound that great). My name is the cuter and shorter Version of Darkness. The name comes frome my fascination for the Universe and the so called 'Dark Matter' one time when i was 14 y/o i watched a Movie/Documentary about something called 'Dark Matter' idk what hooked me on this Topic but it was so fascinating to me that i watched many, many episodes of this Documantary series. I also love Characters that have a dark or darkness related Powers that they can use in Battle etc. So that is the Story about my name ^^.

I got tired of using my real nickname as my username on most medias I used so I decided to come up with something more soothing. I can't certain for sure how exactly I came up with this name. it was more of me being random and clueless rather than creative. it was really geometry dash what got me into coming up with such a name. it wasn't inspired or taken from anyone else

'jx' - most of my usernames nowadays contain 'jx' or 'jqxz' as they are the least used letters in the English language (and of course, the highest scoring letters in Scrabble) so it just sounded cool to me to put that in front of my names.

'rhythmer' - just a shortened version of 'rhythm gamer' because I play a lot of rhythm games.

I wasn't actually born in 2002, I just threw on that number for no real reason.

Thanks a bloody lot for this forum, I have spent the better half of the day reading all of these, and it is so much fun seeing the origins.
As for my username, I had a shirt that said "Sorry, I was not listening" when I was a kid which I loved. It kind of matched my personality, I used to be quite aloof. it also sounded funny. These reasons, I decided when I was like 10 to always use this username. But, the word sorry had to be omitted as it was too long. So, it became "Iwasnotlistening". Coming to more modern, games there was now a rule of only 16 letters, so I had to make it "Iwasntlistening" which it is right now and hopefully won't have to change forever.
This name is quite ironic to Osu! as it is a rhythm game, but well...

when I was like 11, I used to have "KhaledTheGamer" (myfirstname+thegamer) as my username on multiple accounts. a year later I decided to throw my middle name at it (Fayez) while keeping it short so I came up with FaizKTG.

My first username originally came from a nickname I had, but no longer go by as there was a fall out with the friends who used to call me it, so now it is simply from the name of one of my favorite songs, one that always makes me feel happy and peaceful.

My username came from my ROBLOX username which is "TheCrimson25" (I don't know how I came up with it, I can't remember) but I shortened it to "Crimson25" when I made my osu! account. I was making my twitch account and felt like Crimson25 was too boring so I had to think about a lot of things I could add to my username to make it cool, Bucket was the best thing I could think of, so my twitch username is CrimsonBucket and I later went on to change my osu! username to CrimsonBucket aswell.

I have a few “usernames” that I’ve used online for awhile now but Breylin is my main for almost everything. It’s not my real name (but close actually)

I think the true origin was for a character name back when I played the harvest moon on the GameCube and it stuck over since.

I love names that use y and l :p

I’ll probably end up naming a daughter Breylin if I have a kid ever xD

It sounds really cringy, but it has an intresting backstory.
So osu was kind of the first game i have began actively playing. I have started playing it when i was 6 years old, and since you can't rename yourself it stays like that.
Basically i wasn't very original and didn't think too much of it because i have wanted to quickly play, and i have just reversed my name (nikita) and put my date of birth. It sounds like a joke and like the worst username ever, but it reminds me of myself as a kid and i really like it because of that. I would have changed it, but maybe it will stay for good.

During the big Dubstep trend about 7-9 years ago, there was a very popular artist named "SKisM". His music was one of the best next to Flux Pavilion and Skrillex.

My username before that was "LoLMeCrazy" so I definitely needed a new ign, so I went with "SKiisM" since I was a huge fan of his music. Barely anyone recognizes the name since the artist phased out awhile ago too.

When I first got a Minecraft account, I was very into chemistry, and I wanted a unique nickname. So, I came up with 'Minecraftium Sulphate', which I shortened to 'MCSulphate'. After playing for a while and joining some communities, I ended up being called 'Sulphate' by most, which is what I'm called on everything except here, since I cannot take that name.

I wrote down the list of the girls in Date A Live and showed it to two of my friends. We crossed off names until everyone could claim a waifu, and I got Kotori. (My friends got Tohka and Yoshino)

Don't worry, I love all the Kotori's out there, not just my waifu Kotori Itsuka.

It was my lack of creativity. I'm from a small country Denmark, and finding other users in most games was hard without actually taking with them mouth to mouth. So to make it easier i called myself Henrik (It's my name) and then added DK for Denmark. It works surprisingly well, most people ask if im from Denmark and i say yes, and we continue playing together :)
