It would be nice to know how many minutes have passed since the last post. I suggest having the bot calculate that with this inverse function:
where x is the score that the player has gained.
Or, you know, you can just get the number of seconds directly.
Of course, you don't really have to implement if you don't want to, it's just a suggestion.

That inverse function is very inefficient. Here is a better algorithm:
y = time.get_current_time() - previous_post.get_time()
or you can just look at the score log and do some arithmetic too...johnmedina999 wrote:

Honestly it's not that hard to figure out. Up to around an hour score to minutes ratio less than 1:1, more than an hour it's more than 1:1

how about a powerup that prevents or "freezes" someone directly above you from getting points in their posts for a short period of time? you cant freeze anyone below you, though.
something like 6-12 hours would be okay and a tolerable amount of time, in my eyes.

Ok here is the list for offensive type power-ups:
castor - who uses the power-up
victim - who the power-up is being used on
Low tier:
Mid tier:
High tier:

Point Eater: For 3 of castor's posts the castor eats the victim's points
every time the castor posts. The victim looses and the castor gains the number of points
equal to the last number of points the victim gained
Point Bomb: Plant a bomb. There is 1/(num_of_players * 3) chance a post can trigger
it. The player which triggers it looses 10% of their points.
Point Nullifier: The victim recieves no points until after the next post is made by anyone
Mid tier:
Point Reducer: The victim recieves 25% less points from their posts for
the next 3 posts they make
Point Slasher: The victim bleeds out 10% of their pts. Who will be the lucky player
who finds these bled out pts? Odds are 1/(num_of_players * 3)
Point Freezer: The victim does not revieve any points for 12h
High tier:
Point Poison: The victim looses 10 points for every post anyone makes until they post
Point Armageddon: A 2-post detonation bomb which causes the victim to loose all
points. In the first post you use the power-up and target player. The next time the
victim posts, the victim is hit with Armageddon. Conditions for a successful hit:
- victim must not say "rip" in their post. If the victim does, the bomb becomes a dud.
- your post must not be edited. If it is, then it blows up in your face
Point Curse: If you and your victim alternated posts in the last 4 posts: you,victim,you,victim
your victim is cursed and will never receive points after or before your post. The victim looses
their points earned in the previous post if you post after them.

I feel like Point Poison shouldn't be considered a "high tier" power-up since the amount you lose per another person posting isn't that significant of an amount and can easily be cancelled by the victim simply posting.
Or you maybe you could adjust the value of how much the victim loses per another person's post.
That's just my input though.
Edit: Actually I changed my mind. This could be pretty devastating depending on how popular this thread becomes and if you use it on someone who's sleeping. Looks like no one's going to say goodnight anymore.

Point Poison targets the player's inactivity, mainly when they go to sleep
Point Armageddon targets ninja posting
Point Curse targets players who post a lot
ofc it's also possible to get the player if the player doesn't pay attention and gets screwed as a result
