hi im mod c:hibana00:30:237 (1) - place this equally spaced between 00:29:622 (1,1) - , use the approach circle to estimate better Fixed
00:34:545 (4,1) - momentum is lost by stacking ^
00:52:083 (1) - mapped to vocals, but doing this misses out on the triple that starts 00:52:237 - ,you mapped it here 00:57:160 (2) - ^
01:01:929 - this section has larger jumps than 00:31:237 - , and is arguably a less emphasized musical chunk, probably change one or the other? (looking back on this section from kiai, you have more emphasized jumps here than you do in kiai) ^
01:13:006 (1,1) - stacking things at varying distances throughout the mess is already giving a messy vibe, compare to 01:10:699 (2,1) - , 00:34:545 (4,1) - , 01:15:160 (9,1) - ^
02:48:391 (2,3,4,5) - a bit too long, consider having the notes reach a higher point? Not sure what you mean, but I changed the stream spacing and direction.
03:15:776 (1,1,1,1,1) - o yeah also parts like this, abusing NC makes player really reliant on approach circle and is harder to read than it needs to be. personally i like it but someone else is probably going to bitch about it. (ooh try something like you did here 03:28:391 (2,1,2,1) - ) Good point, fixed
03:59:468 (9) - directional change should occur here, not 03:59:545 (1) - ^
05:22:853 (1,2,3) - this reads like a 1/4 triple and not 1/2, consider some spacing ^
o yeah about kiai, 01:39:622 - no kiai but 05:06:391 - kiai? 03:43:006 - why does kiai turn off for this section? imo its every bit as energetic as 03:47:622 - and 03:33:006 - and its even part of the same solo ^

General : Your slider shapes are really inconsistent, I think that you should try to follow the song with your sliders in a more generic and linear way, and of course make it consistent!
Some NC's here and there are really questionable, make sure to scan through your map again to fix the NC's. Generally if a new phrase starts or a hard beat is pronounced is where I put a NC but its all up to you
Overall the flow is nice
00:54:083 (1,1) - These repeater sliders are really really weird, i advise you change them into more objects or something..? Good find, fixed
02:33:929 (6,1) - these are examples of the sliders that I talked about... These are all over the map and they just make the map look rly bad D: Now that I look at it, they could use some work
02:35:776 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,1,2) - what is even going on here, there's no tie to any of these combos, they just lie there by themselves.. This is also all over the map...... Good point with the NC's, I'll fix them up
I could put every instance of these things in the mod but it would take up too much space, and it would just be a bunch of "^"
the map is aite, make everything mold together and it has a lot of potential

Hi I come from the queueHibana Good luck!
- I think biggest improvement that can be made in this map is design/note placement.
First of all, inconsistency in overlaps are really noticeable. For example, in this ( 00:33:468 (1,2,3,4,1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - )short section, there are a bunch of overlaps... which can form coherent structure if done consistently, but that is not the case ( http://puu.sh/rTjjn/232bb5325c.jpg ). Good find, will check map thoroughly for this, fixed
There are other minor overlap issues as well, such as 00:31:929 (6,1) - where notes are barely touching each other (which typically is considered poor design decision), or at 00:38:391 (2,3,4,5) - , where 00:38:391 (2) - overlaps with each of the 00:38:853 (3,4,5) - , but overlapping surface area is different in each note. Not ^
Another inconsistency I think can be improved is spacing. For example, this ( 00:30:853 (2,2,4) - ) can be neater, at least imo, by making distance between each notes consistent ( http://puu.sh/rTjoD/0045083163.jpg ). Or, 01:49:468 (1,1,3) - as ( http://puu.sh/rTjFq/55b834e933.jpg ). Or 02:04:699 (2,4,5) - as ( http://puu.sh/rTjKZ/d50cabe411.jpg ), etc. None of these changes affect flow of the map, which isn't bad, but they certainly improve the design :3 Good point with the spacing, fixed
That's the braod suggestion I want to give for the map. Few finer details I want to suggest:
00:17:314 - I think this should be clickable because large sounds. Also, it's bit unclear whether you're following vocal or the instrument at the beginning. 00:16:083 (1) - is following instrument. Or at least I think so since 00:17:006 - is buried in the slider body. But then pretty notable bass drum at 00:17:929 - is ignored, while 00:18:083 - is mapped to vocal and with no instrument. I think it's not good to switch instuments so frequently in such a short time. Fixed
00:19:006 - I think it'd be better to make this clickable since 1) it has strong vocal and instrument 2) sound is similar (parallel?) to 00:19:314 (1,2) - , which are clickable circles. ^
00:25:929 - Maybe circle -> spinner here, like ( http://puu.sh/rTka1/5ae90dc9c7.jpg )? It just may be my personal preference but spinner beginning doesn't fit large sound well since it does not have any hitsound. ^

Hi, from my QModGeneral
Hitsound volume (drum snares) is way too loud and drowns out parts of the song. Volume of 35% in the beginning section is perfect.
00:29:622 (1) - Increase to 60% is too much. I suggest you just keep it at 35% or increase it slightly no more than 50%
If you plan to readjust the volume, remember every green tick (timing points) needs to be adjusted. Good point, fixed in both diffs
Another
00:20:391 (2) - Add a circle Didn't hear anything indicating a circle there, but put one at 00:21:314 (2)
04:38:699 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Add distance between circles 3 and 4, they are way too close. Should be equivalent to circles 5 and 6. Fixed
05:04:391 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - Same idea for here ^
04:57:776 (1,2) - Stack Decided to change the part a bit instead
05:40:853 (8,1) - Stack and remove NC on 05:41:006 (1) Made into triple, and I have a NC there because the kiai ends there
05:07:929 (1,2,3,4,5) - I think you should mirror what you have here and stack the triples like this for example Fixed
05:14:237 (3,4) - Stack ^
Good luck!

They should be taken as ideas to apply in the entire difficulty and they’re the most visible thing you should improve in this map.CaffeAmericano wrote:

New mapper mod from my queue.[General]“Any help is very appreciated, even the smallest amount is. c:”
- It seems that you have actually a good understanding of a lot of basic mapping concepts, which leads me to say this; you should have asked for a regular mod in my queue instead, but I’ll try to give you some feedback and advice over a few points about your last diff “hanabira”.
- Make sure that you have a good source for metadata of your map. This means an official website that provides the artist and song name information. In this case, this is the website:
http://nakamurameiko.net/arpk0007/
As you can see on tha album cover, the correct artist name is 仲村芽衣子 and rominised as Meiko Nakamura. Fixed- Always check if your spacing is following any structure or idea. Take this for example
00:29:622 (1,1,1,2) –
You have 4 objects. The first 3 of them are active being clicked in 1/1 gaps rhythm. This means that their distance should be somewhat similar, unless your creating a different and unsual idea. Now take a look at them;
http://puu.sh/s31IH.jpg
And beyond that you actually added a 1/2 jump after wards here 00:30:237 (1,2) -. Whenever you think of jumps you should think that you’re spacing things to create emphasis. This object indeed deserves emphasis 00:30:391 (2) – but if you compare the entire pattern it’s just irregular. Also let’s say you really want to keep that idea, than it should be consistently applied which is also not the case. As you can see here
00:30:699 (1,2,1) – you’re forcing the person to start the pattern at a high speed 00:30:699 (1,2) – and then slow it down 00:30:853 (2,1) – to go fast yet again 00:31:160 (1,2) – while the song doesn’t really seems to be going for that. Fixed and will look in the map for more- About your combos; they’re inconsistent because it seems your musical structure knowlodge is not being applied here consistently.
Take this for example
00:21:006 (1) – Big white ticks are instinctively good points to start new combos because they are the key points where the musical starts to repeat itself.
That knowledge is what leads most people to always advice; start new combos on the big white ticks whenever is possible. However if you feel like your combos are just too small just remember to create a logic and consistent combo structure inside each part of the music; verses/chorus/solos, etc. If should work as well. Another important things about combos;
When you change slidervelocity in the inherented points (those Green points) you will need a new combo. Also, when you’re mapping and you copy paste stuff take care to always remove the NCS, like in this case 00:29:622 (1,1) - Good advice, will fix- About this two advices you received;

I’ll show you a good idea you’ve tried to execute in which the result is what both of they are talking about;
01:44:699 (1,1,1) –
http://puu.sh/s30en.jpg
At first sight it’s trully hard to understand what is the main point of this sliders positioning. Are they blanketing? It seems they’re not. Are they going in a zig-zag from down-up? Also seems they’re not doing that.
I’d say that you actually tried here to make 01:44:699 (1,1) – follow ONE main idea, the back and forth patterning to make 01:45:314 (1) – flow differently, in this case blanket/linear to give emphasis to the next vocal line transition 01:45:314 (1) -. The idea is great but the patterning don’t work in your favor for that.
I’ll give you suggestion that won’t improve the pattern but rather show how some minor experimentation can actually leads into cool results. Change this objects order in the time line 01:45:006 (1,1) – and tell me if you think that the emphatic impact over the vocals are stronger or not. Adding a few re-work you can have multiple results, let me show you one http://puu.sh/s31iG.jpg . Fixed, will improve sliders throughout map aswell- Your hitsounding seems to be using a lot of hitnormals and in a few small points of your map you’re using claps and finishes. You need to improve a lot the hitsounds of your map. Usually you use finishes for really important parts of the song that ends/starts a musical phrase and claps for sounds that are emphasized but with more repetition inside the music. There’s no correct way but you can always check other ranked maps and look at how they were hitsounded and also read this thread about hitsounding; t/306177 Was having trouble hitsounding, will fix
I wish that you can understand most of what I’ve said. My feedback here is rather limited to 5 specific ideas but I hope that this will be useful for your future mapping. Best of luck

00:34:391 (4) - 1/1 slider and then the triple. Fixed
00:36:391 (3,4,5) - I don't really see a reason for making a triple here. ^
00:37:314 (1,1,1) - They are too distant imo. ^
01:09:622 (3) - This is too distant, no reason for that distance. ^
01:26:699 (1,1) - Usually there is no problem using sliders like this, but in this case circles would be better. ^
01:52:545 (2,1,1) - Same here. ^
02:18:237 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - This part of the music is so intense I was expecting some crazier jumps here, maybe the jumps from before can have a shorter distance and them make those some crazier ones. xD Lol, jumps increased
02:31:929 (2,1)- 02:35:160 (1,1) - Yeah, those are not sounding cool. Fixed
03:15:776 (1,1,2) - Is weird that those 2 are more distant than the green one, isn't it? ^
03:16:853 (1) - 1/2 slider here is better. ^
04:14:853 (2,1,2,1,1) - Sounds weird the lower volume beginning here. I think it should begin here: 04:14:853 (2,1,2,1,1) or 04:14:853 (2,1,2,1,1) Think it's fixed?
04:22:237 (1,2,3) - I don't think a triple is needed here, if you want to keep the triple make one here too 04:23:468 Fixed
05:23:006 (2,1) - Maybe make that slider end here? ^
That's it, be careful with the jumps some of them are absurdly long for that moment, it doesn't fit, also there are some cases that you can make them more distant, just know the right time to use the jumps
But overall the map is great, also some custom hitsounds are needed to make it sound prettier.

00:17:314 (2) - I don't think you need this here The sound is quite emphasized there, so I think circle is good?
00:23:468 (2) - Follow the pattern, NC? It's because of the 1,2 combos being 1/2 rather than 1/1

01:59:468 (1) - Does not need a NC Fixed
02:05:929 (1) - ^ There's a couple parts where that's repeated, I think it's good how it is
03:04:545 (1) - ^ Fixed
