Half off-topic
I just came from the arcade... yeah, the one with the TnT AC4 with the hacked TDM software I was talking about.
Well I went there because I wanted to test the new drumsticks I 'made', not like I'm going to get in contact with an actual Taiko machine anytime soon anyway,
but I noticed that the
stupid machine was gone. Oh well, TDM was a worthless localization anyway...
So I just had to find something to do since I was there. It had some of the newest machines, but I really don't play those except maybe that shiny DDRX2 machine which is the first thing you see upon entering the vicinity.
Actually the TDM machine is located at the way, way back, along with the many old games that they seemingly didn't want to abandon.
Knowing that they were really old, I did an inspection on the entire 'retro area' (yeah it's pretty secluded from the main area, so I'm calling it that way) to see which of these machines were the oldest, not counting the non-video game machine ones like those Basketball thingies.
At first I thought that ITG2 machine was the oldest, being a 2005 machine (or was it the Dino Duel Masters one, IDK, I didn't really memorize all the years those things came out), then suddenly I found this
piece of junk ancient relic here in the corner:

This old thing is already past 11 years old, turning 12 sometime this year.
Needless to say I still tried it out.
With the really low-bit graphics back then, it's kinda hard to get a groove in this game, lol
Song Select not offering me all the songs right off the bat, and the song's title wasn't even anywhere to be seen,
with some horribad Japanese font making a lot of the song descriptions kinda unreadable,
but what can I expect from an old game? As one that delves into the world of classic games, I really don't mind...
...that is, when it came to the moniker screen.
I pressed the 2 Yellow Buttons so that I could bring up the Options me~
...options me~...
NO OPTIONS?! OH MY GAAAAAAWDBOO FOR SLOWSHIT SCROLL SPEED MAKING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 1/2 AND 1/4 A FUCKING PAIN IN THE ASS TO SEE
And that's not all,
extra hits count as fucking misses!
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Did some research on it and only found out that these functions were only available on PnM6... SHIIIIIIIIIIT
So much for that though, at least I got to experience a PnM controller on an actual authentic arcade! Yes the buttons still work well (which I actually wasn't expecting, seeing as how this game seems to be more prone to stupid guys who mash shit to oblivion), and I must say it's definitely much, much comfortable to play it here than on the PSP, which I can comfortably say for every arcade game I've played that has a console port...
I can actually use my left hand to hit things on the right! FUCK YEAH no more trouble hitting right-green and right-white
No should button tortures lets out a big load of stress on the readability,
and I don't think 5 button existed on this thing.
Still frustrates me how THERE'S NO OPTIONS FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Hopefully the disappearance of the Taiko machine here means that
they're finally fucking fixing it and putting an authentic TnT software on it, damn it
