Hello, M4M from your queue
Easy00:07:203 (2,3) - These two are slightly too close to each other, it looks a little meh visually
00:16:253 (5,2) - "5" is disappearing as "2" appears but the overlap might not be a good idea
00:22:957 (1) - Consider making this a slider instead, follows the vocal better imo
00:25:638 (2,3) - Consider mapping the note between these for the little vocal as well, you don't need that big of a rhythm gap I think
00:26:979 (3,1) - This blanket could look a lot better, I know DS limits you, but you can push the boundaries a bit to get the visuals right.
https://arf.s-ul.eu/Pgk4xQ0F00:28:990 (2) - The head and tail of this slider overlap but 00:31:001 (1) - doesn't, I think you should pick one and stick with it
00:33:013 (1,2) - Blanket isn't quite accurate, move 2 a bit to the right
00:35:694 (3,4) - Juuuust a bit too close to each other
00:38:376 (1,2,3,4) - Due to the build up in the song here, consider mapping some if not all of the notes in between these
00:42:398 (4,2) - These two shouldn't overlap, same at 01:05:191 (1,2) - 01:09:884 (4,2) - etc.
00:56:476 (1) - I really don't like how the sound at 00:57:147 - is in the middle of the long slider instead of being clickable. The slider itself looks nice but the rhythm is not the best one you could choose here imo. Consider changing this into a 1/1 slider and a 2/1 slider, like
so.01:12:901 - Consider mapping this sound, it's pretty prominent
Normal00:08:208 (5,6) - Overlap is a little ugly and not done elsewhere in the map, consider moving 6
00:27:650 (1,2) - Hmm are you sure about this gap? Better to map the 1/1 note in between these imo
00:40:387 (1,3) - Consider making these the same kind of slider, a flipped copy/paste. Might look slightly better
00:45:750 (1) - Consider making this point at the next note instead of the previous one, like
so.00:54:130 (1,2) - Ehh, bit unnecessary imo, it's a pretty noticeable spike and very different from the rest of the map. I understand why it's patterned like this, but for this diff it might be better to simplify this rhythm. Consider a 1/2 repeat slider or even just a simple 1/1 slider.
Decent difficulty, some aesthetics are a bit rough around the edges but the rhythm is well done and the general feel of the map is positive.
HardThis diff is not bad, but it's not a typical Hard in difficulty. The combination of the jumps used with the BPM puts it a level above the typical Hard difficulty. Honestly I somewhat like this diff, but the difficulty spread from Normal to Hard is large. You can nerf some of the jumps and get it closer to 3.4 or 3.5, or you could make an "Advanced" difficulty. Either way, spread will be an issue for you if you keep it the way it is.
00:06:867 (3,4,1) - I see the stack but out of these three notes, "1" has the most intense beat and yet the smallest spacing from the previous note. Recommend adjusting spacing so 4->1 is greater than 3->4
00:31:001 (2,3) - Consider mapping the drum beat between these
00:35:694 (4,5) - This spacing is a little harder to read after 00:33:013 (1,2) - since the rhythm gap is different. Highly recommend moving 5 closer to 4 to differentiate
00:51:784 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Ehhhhh. I get it, I do, especially since the Insane has similar structure to stress the repeated vocal pattern, but this is not visually pleasing at all, at least to me. Consider finding a different pattern which works the same way to make this look better, or if you're dead set on using this one, adjust some of the stacks, since there are some imperfect ones at the moment
01:21:951 (2,3) - Why note between these note not mapped when 01:19:270 (2,3,4) - here it is?
Yeah the spacing in this difficulty is not quite Hard not quite Insane, it's not even Light Insane. It's in a weird spot in the middle. Personally I'd just nerf some of the jumps but if you don't want to do that your alternatives are even more work. Hope you find a solution you like.
InsaneReminds me 2013 mapping in some parts, 2015 in some parts
00:13:571 (1) - Rhythm is a bit questionable, wouldn't it sound better if this slider was two 1/2 sliders?
00:14:242 (1,2) - Could make these the same shape for slider pairing
00:31:001 (1,2) - I get why you didn't map the drum between these but in the highest diff it might be a bad idea to skip
00:37:035 (4) - What's with this shape xD Something simple like 00:35:694 (1) - could work just fine here methinks
00:45:415 (1,2) - Could center this between 00:45:750 (1,2) - to look a bit nicer
00:49:437 (5,6) - This jump is massive compared to the spacing you've used for this rhythm elsewhere in the map. Consider reducing it
01:23:460 (1,2,3,4,5) - This is honestly kind of underwhelming since you basically don't really move your cursor to play this stream, consider making it just a regular spaced curved one.
A lot of the ideas in this map are decent, and well-executed. Some rhythm choices I don't agree with, places you've used 1/2 slider where I would personally use circles, but you're pretty consistent about it throughout the map so I assume it's just your personal preference.
The mapset in general has rough edges here and there, the aesthetics aren't too clean but it's not draft quality, it's fairly okay. The spread from Normal to Hard is probably your biggest concern other than the aesthetics polish, and maybe the spread from Hard to Insane as well? (Though it's serviceable and probably justifiable, unlike the Normal -> Hard spread)
As you get even better at mapping you'll figure it out for yourself where the rough edges are, it's difficult to just point at a pattern and say "this is a problem", since a bad-looking pattern is not the same thing as a pattern that
could look better, if that makes sense. Overall you're on the right track though.
Good Luck
