Problem is that, no offense to any moderator, this thread is a really dumb idea. It requires a lot of work for moderators, plus by making this kind of stuff public you only generate flame wars, and make cheaters know they have been reported. By having a sub-forum for this, where normal users can only read their own threads, and mods can read all of them, you get organized denounces (is this the word?) since mods can just close/delete/move topics with solved issues, plus cheaters don't even get aware they're being accused of something, therefore it's way easier to get them.

I've never, and still don't, consider ol' mikky or any of CtB's other Flashlight experts CHEATERS... it's really not too hard to completely memorize a beatmap that has a clearly recognisable and logical pattern, especially in CtB when you only have to memorize the location of the beat on the horizontal plane. Ah... Before saying that it's not too hard, first try yourself Dean any map with Approach Rate 9 or 10. Or just add Hardrock on Insane map with Flashlight. And try to pass 3 seconds of the song. X_X I think you know that Hardrock don't have any logical patterns, ESPECIALLY in ctb.

Approach rate makes no difference if the map is COMPLETELY memorized... which like I said, isn't too hard. I checked mikhe's replays for two maps named in this topic ('NO, Thank You!' and 'Gravity') and neither score seems outside the realm of difficulty so that someone of mikhe's skill cannot Flashlight it within a reasonable amount of attempts - both follow patterns and repeat themselves often. Hard Rock would make things more difficult but it still keeps the structure of the map essentially the same...

Edit: sigh... just checked out 'Silver Dream.' Same thing applies. Especially if he had already FCed it with Hard Rock... I'm skeptical people can FC AR10 difficulty songs without at least partially memorizing the basic structure, and like he said, he got lucky once and scored a 300+ combo.

I'm not really in a position to try out the songs myself, as I am awful at this game, and on top of that loathe Flashlight. But I've been around long enough to know what is realistically achievable... and nothing mikhe's ever done has broken that. Get off the guy's back.

Hey, chill. This is a score that is supposedly so insanely inhuman and beyond your comprehension of what is achievable, that you've accused mikhe, the CtB champion, of cheating.
You're lucky he even accepted this ridiculous request. Give him some time, he's not going to produce magic overnight. Hell, it's the middle of the week, he might even have school, work, a social life. Have patience.

And I am working so what? As you see I try to find some free time to for this. He promised that he will make this video and not only I want to see this video. and what about his free time - Last Visit: Dec 23, 2010. I think he has it. I he doesn't play online,It doesn't mean that he is not here ^^

I can understand you have your own commitments, and I never mentioned otherwise. However, mikhe has said that he will do this in his OWN time. He is also on record, albeit in a different topic, that the time ge can commit to osu! and CtB has been significantly reduced, as he is going through a busy period. It takes a very short amount of time to skin through a forum, and his lack of posting in both this thread (defending himself from bizarre accusations) and the Chinese CtB thread indicate he was in a hurry. On top of this, I have him on my osu! friends list, and have not seen him come online during his usual times (and I've been on A LOT recently). I admit the possibility that he may be playing offline, but that really would be an odd thing to do and is not like him.

Seriously, have some patience. Like I said in my previous post, miracles don't happen overnight. This tangent has gone on long enough, anyway - I'm going to bed and won't respond to any more posts. I hope for everyone's sake that he does provide a video and prove himself in your eyes, I really do. It just bamboozles me that you're pestering him like this.

Do not forget to make a video on Jun - Silver Dream [Expert] with hr + fl. 300+ combo will be enough. So 2 video's. AR9 and AR10. And you're free :-)

mikhe, i want to see your hand motion in that video. i think your hand motion is the most impotent thing to prove your record
because it's possible to run auto hack and you just only see the screen.

please capture it again.

and also

i wanna see your HI+HR video if possible.
flashlight is not easy to you because you did it a long time ago.
but HI+HR record is easy to you since it's your playing type now.

it is very hard to FC it and you did it.

Thanks for the video. I was more into the finger work but I guess that other ppl are satisfied now ^^.
You could've posted it sooner after you made an annoucement you'll do it, keeping us waiting and dodging with weird issues like 2 camera isn't a good idea in general.

Well CtB is quite a boring game so I'm not surprised with your recent lack of interest. You've actually penetrated HR+Hidd diff pretty deep so there's nothing more to be challenged with.

I hope I'm wrong, but the video seemed edited. First cut is at 0:04 where you can see how the camera angle moves a little when the song is about to start. Same happens also 1:28 at the end of the song. It seems like the playing part is from different video than the beginning and the ending.

btw i don't know about catch the beat , but at the end the score shows an S .. how can that be if you see he missed in the song? .. well in osu standard if u miss just 1 time u get an A.

ctb calculates rank based on accuracy and not misses

Why's that? I don't play CtB , just osu standard , just saying .. seemed weird to me , mostly cuz i try to not get any A's at osu standard and i'm really aware of how if i miss i get em , thats y it seemed weird to me , and really i shouldn't know that if i don't play CtB at all.

about this i made a video too for youtube, and you'll not FC at first try maybe he did some retry and he cutted them

@mikhe: I don't think you cheated, but since you asked about the livestream/showing yourself issue, I suggest you do a livestream with picture in picture - a screencapturing program recoding osu! and a small inserted video of your camera filming just your hands. That way you wouldn't have to show yourself again, but the whiners would HAVE to accept that...

It's not like I believe mikhe is a cheater, but it's pretty much impossible to get proof of someone cheating on this game. I mean, how do you prove that he has FL hacks or anything? Only peppy can do that...

try useing a translator if you really want to know ,and if you think that the spins are unusual i can make a video as soon as i get a better camera ,the one i tryd ealyer was bad quality and you cant see shit on it.

I don't want to judge whether your conclusion is correct or not. I could only see who is doing his best through this issue, and who is just laughing at it.

On top of what Steven said, I can't fathom how that video doesn't prove his innocence. The first edit was obviously a large cut between him setting up his camera to his first suitable playthrough of the beatmap. Unless you wished to view his several failed attempts, that is completely understandable. I don't know why he made the second cut, but it's still clearly the same playthrough - the graph on the results screen doesn't show up on replays, and it shows the same mods (FL + no video).

Whoever suggested it was Auto clearly wasn't thinking, Auto doesn't make misses. And to Kohzuki: no, he didn't full combo it, but he clearly showed that he has the potential to, that he is capable - which was the whole damn point of the video. Two misses within the first 60 or so beats means fuck all when he made a 360+ combo showcasing his skill. What's with the vendetta, did he run over your cat or something?

Louie: c'mon bro, I thought you were cooler than this. He made the video, showing he's fucking good at Flashlight. Another video is completely uneccessary, no matter if it would be on an AR10 map (which seriously makes no difference with Flashlight).

And I'd like to point out that KRZY is mad cool for knowing when to drop it.

I wish I had as much impact with words as people like Lunah, E-Hooker etc... :(

I think you all take different approaches looking into the video that makes you think you're each other wrong. As a neither Mikhe's friend or foe I can look at the issue without getting involved ;-).

Doing montage of the video is a big no no, no matter what you cut. Proof video is like the only kind of video that shouldn't be montaged because of its purpose (I hope you guys agree). Why? Read it and take it easy cos I'm not a hater nor troll (I think ppl from #osu think the same ^^).

Let's say I state that (play some Phoenix Wright music in the bg :->)
"What really happened is:
1. Mikhe started the game
2. Before pressing "skip" button mikhe paused game, jumped into the key macro program before the montaged 00:04 of video.
3. He started key macro program with some countdown needed to synchronize right with game, then went back to game and unpaused.
4. He resumed recording the video (the "famous" 00:04).
5. Program played throught the map doing some mistakes (well happens, I can't FC it every time with no mod and macro could've registered missed game).
6. He stopped the key macro program at 01:28 (did exactly the same pause->jump to window sequence) because it had glitches that'd make video even more confusing.
That's how it was."

It sure sounds ridiculous for ppl saying mikhe didn't cheat. But the problem is I find it hard to contradict any of those points (point 6 is for the lulz, but something like that could be possible - even thought it'd be really lame x-D) because:
-> getting in synch with countdown isn't hard for CtB players, because they have superior single timing reaction timing to osu! and taiko players. And when you mention CtB god... can't agree any more ^^.
-> there's no hand motion
-> there's no key strike/mouse operation sound
-> there's no start menu bar to show running app (even if there were one, app could've been written into tray icon and hidden)

I'm fine with video as it is, but it's completely understandable for other ppl to be not satisfied with it. That's my repeated opinion -> you shouldn't do montage of proof video no matter what.

And on the last note(s?). People, PLEASE refrain from flames just because you don't agree with each other. The only way to prove things is to provide data. Also telling who's being cool, who's being whiny is rude. It all comes to agree/disagree... come on, don't act like ur doing right now x_x.

My main gripe with that and any other theories about how he cheated is that it's completely clutching at straws. Yes, the possibility exists, but it also exists for every single osu! player. The video shows within, say, a 99% possibility that he is clean, and that is good enough for me. As CXu said, it's the accusing side that need to prove that he is cheating, and there is not a single thread of evidence to suggest that.

I'm sorry if my words were inflammatory, I can assure you that it is not (and never is) my intention to make people angry. I just got a little worked up about the topic. I don't consider myself one of mikhe's closest friends, but I've seen him grow from a rankings-whore into the best Catch the Beat player in the world, and the idea of him cheating is absurd to me. Once again, my apologies.
