Even if you can't win, isn't it fun to at least try and see how high you can rank? I usually don't play charts since I either A) don't play much due to uni; B) already played some of the songs when they were ranked; or C) feel that it's useless to compete when the same pro players win each month. A certain account join date limit, like registered two months ago to be able to participate, and an activity limit (must have a certain amount of map plays per month, maybe 300?). I guess that would work? And restrict the "big prizes" to the top tiers. The lower tiers could have something smaller, something that doesn't cost money like the highest tier chart prizes (supporter for a year etc).KRZY wrote:

Problem with that is your current rank isn't always indicative of skill. There's a degree of correlation but that's it. Some really pro players who've just not done so many maps, or played it a while back and stopped will be in the lower ranks and easily crush anyone else in the same range. Also what if someone crosses ranks? If during a play of all the maps in say, the 1001-5000 chart, you briefly peek at #972, are you going to start hoping your rank falls below #1000 again so you qualify?

Yes, cookiezi can indeed have been won in the Monthly Ranking Chart
However, if limited 1mod, the end result will be difficult to predict
Such as Lybydose's FL,KanbeKotori's HR,LirsRosso's HD,tana's none
It appears this will be more pro to participate in.

Only scores you get during the allotted time count.
You just need to play, your scores are automatically added to the chart

As this is the first chart of its kind, please inform me IMMEDIATELY if any issues ariseLike, some one play without a mod in the mod section?
Or is it still for the technical issues?
For the sake of simplicity, let's say that it's Bancho. Bancho is smart and can tell who played what song with what mod (and when), so it filters out all the scores that don't count, and totals up all the scores that do count.

This chart is a great idea, though I think it should include at least 2 or 3 impossibly insane maps, maybe like Made of Fire and Ievan Polkka Trance Remix, just to avoid spinners wars, since those kind of maps will never (well, at least it's not likely to) be SS'd.

The people on the top of these charts are superb. Seeing how I have very minimal chances of winning (read: zero) I think I'll just try for Top 100.
