1. How long have you been playing CTB on osu! for? Feb to April 2014, April to May 2015 and October 2015 to present so in total over a year and 4 months

2. Why did you start playing CTB? Thought it was the most unique mode and had the most fun in this mode out of the other 3 when I first played this game

3. What playstyle do you use? Numbpad7 for left, Numbpad8 for right and Tab for dash

4. Who is your favourite CTB player? RAMPAGE88

5. Which CTB map do you like the most? Nekomata Master feat. Misawa Aki - chrono diver -fragment- by Fii

7. Do you use mods? If so, which ones? Depends on the ARs of the map but mainly DTHR on ar4 cs4, HDDTHR on ar5 cs3, DT on Platter or AR8/7. Someties HD on overdose/rain if find boring nomod

Left + Right Arrows, Z for Dash

Sometimes I use HR, DT, or both; it depends on the map's difficulty.

I don't really have one!

Probably about a year now, it was a few months before I got into CtB

2. Why did you start playing CTB?

I was playing on a crappy laptop, and I didn't have a mouse available, so I tried all the other game modes. From this I found CtB to be the most fun after standard

3. What playstyle do you use?

A - left
D - right
Right Shift - dash

4. Who is your favourite CTB player?

ExGon... some of his scores... I don't understand

5. Which CTB map do you like the most?

I kinda avoid CtB maps... but I really enjoyed Taneda Risa - Wareta Ringo (TV edit)

6. Who is your favourite CTB mapper?

I'm going to skip this one for the above reason

7. Do you use mods? If so, which ones?

HDDT is my favorite mod combo, and I use PF a lot to get those SS's. FL is also fun

I love it! It's challenging and really requires a lot of skill, too bad it doesn't get played more

Std seemed weird but also it felt like those with actual tapping or moving skills from other places could benefit.But ctb was like "we limit the speed of the catcher to put everyone on the same level" It was nice.

2. Why did you start playing CTB?
I sucked at standard and wasn't improving so I looked into the different game modes. CTB was really easy to get into which motivated me to keep going.

3. What playstyle do you use?
NUM1 = left, NUM3 = right, z = dash

4. Who is your favourite CTB player?
Dusk - Always looked up to him, all the crazy FL records he did back in the days and still sets amazing records nowadays.

5. Which CTB map do you like the most?
Hard to pinpoint a specific map, but I really enjoy playing old ctb mapping, stuff from around 2011-2014. But every now and then there are really good "newer" maps, like for example ikazuchi, monochrome, Paranoid Lost, AXION... And of course all of the maps I created.

6. Who is your favourite CTB mapper?
Myself. Who doesn't love their own maps?
Apart from that ZHSteven, Spectator, koliron, Ascendance, DaxMasterix, Deif

7. Do you use mods? If so, which ones?
I highly prefer nomod but when I'm farming some older mapsets I use any mod. Depends on the difficulty. My favorite mod apart from nomod is FL.

8. Do you prefer to play in multiplayer or solo?
Solo. Because then I can always pick a map I like and in MP there are often people with shit taste or people who only pick popular maps. Usually I play MP only with selected people and less with randoms.

9. What is your favorite CTB Diff?
No idea, there are a lot of really good diffs to pick from. One of the diffs I really adore is Spec's Goldrop diff. In my eyes the closest to perfect CTB diff out there.

10. Do you like CTB?
Yes. At least most of the time.

1. I created my account on december of 2010 and started playing for seriously on july 2011, i played osu std first, then changed to CTB. During middle of 2016, I stopped like half a year and played std instead. I started back like 1~2 weeks ago to regain my skill.

2. Why did you start playing CTB?

2. I played CTB because i can't play std due to unstable surface since i played osu secretly during my hostel days in high school. Since laptop is prohibited lul.

3. What playstyle do you use?

3. down arrow = left , right arrow = right, and mouse click. I actually copied this playstyle from kenji, a former 1# rank CTB player during 2010~2012?, i'm not sure. I admired his hardrock plays during old days. The differences is that i'm a right handed and he's left handed. So it's pretty awkward using mouse on left handside.

4. Mostly old players, kenji | set4459 | Flanet | S a o r i | Exgon | [224] families | and all old times hardrock player ex: b62

7. During 2012~2015, it's hidden hardrock since i usually farm 1# ranks for the replay. As for now i'm play mostly on no mod or hidden depends on my mood.

8. Solo i guess. But multiplayer is good to increase your consistency for tournament and reduce nervousness.

Saw some sick plays on YouTube and I thought it would be pretty fun. Wasn't wrong (most fun I ever had in osu is on this mode). Also because I got bored of standard and wanted to try something new.

1. I have been paying CTB Since i started osu 1 year ago!
2. I started playing CTB because it was easy to pick up and play from the start! =D
3. I use Default (Left Arrow, Right Arrow, Left Shift)

1. How long have you been playing CTB on osu! for? 8 years although I did quit after ~4 years and came back around 5 and a half or so. A mistake, had to relearn ctb again and wasted 1.5 years doing so

2. Why did you start playing CTB? I ran out of space for my mouse and so I switched from standard to ctb

3. What playstyle do you use? I use 'a' and 'd' to move left and right respectively and left click to dash. Kind of weird I know :). I did use to use 'z' and 'c' to move left and right but changed to 'a' and 'd' just because I also play fps games and it seemed better

4. Who is your favourite CTB player? It would have to be exgon just because of some of his insane plays that he does. I also quite like Habin for his insane FL plays, I will never be that good at FL

5. Which CTB map do you like the most? I don't have a favourite map I like a lot

6. Who is your favourite CTB mapper? I don't really know, the only one I really know of is spec

7. Do you use mods? If so, which ones? I love mods, they make the game more interesting
HD - Default mod that I will always use unless the ar is super low
HR + DT + FL - Ar <= 5 (HR: ar = 7)
HD + HR + DT + FL - Ar <= 5 (HR: ar = 7). Not a fan of doing this, one exception is ar7 which is pretty fun but if that is the case I would most likely just leave HD out. I also do this if someone has taken my rank from me and I feel like I want to take it back
HD + HR - 7 <= Ar <= 8 (HR: 9.8 <= ar <= 10). Still practising with this mod and can just do ar8, when I improve I would most likely use this mod on ar8+
HD + DT + FL - Ar <= 8. This is mainly for shorter songs and if I am kind of bored
DT + FL - Ar <= 6. I rarely use this combo, just for boredom on normal songs
HD + HR + DT - Ar <= 6 (HR: ar <= 8.4). This is my go to mod for normal-advanced songs
HD + FL - Ar <= 8. Just because I could not do HD + HR before
EZ + FL - Ar <= 10. This is just for fun. Cannot fc ar10 default songs currently. Too fast for me
HR + FL - Ar <= 6 (HR: Ar <= 8.4). Don't really use this that much, mainly if you cannot do HR + DT + FL.
HD + HR + FL - Ar <= 6 (HR: Ar <= 8.4). I sometimes use this but I prefer HR + DT + FL because that is more fun for me, more exciting and looks cooler when you actually get past 200+ combo

There may be other combinations that I may use but they are not that common for me to do and so I just left them out, most other combinations are done if I am bored or something.

8. Do you prefer to play in multiplayer or solo? I prefer solo although sometimes I do like to play in multiplayer, kind of sad there are not many games for multiplayer in ctb with good players

9. What is your favorite CTB Diff? Right now it is rain just because I can fc those songs and so it is the most fun. When I improve it would be overdose

10. Do you like CTB? Yes, ctb is quite fun, I enjoy this more than the other game modes

Since early 2015.

2. Why did you start playing CTB?

I couldn't do standard at the time because my mouse was crappy and I didn't have a tablet (Until Christmas of 2015). I tried taiko but I didn't do good there as well. Then I finally found CTB, which was a more easier game mode for me. You don't even have to click or press buttons to follow the rhythm, you just have to catch a stream of fruits to the rhythm as much as you can. I also play CTB because since I have high-functioning autism, I find it useful for focusing and visual stimming.

3. What playstyle do you use?

Left and right arrow keys for moving. Shift for dash.

4. Who is your favourite CTB player?

I probably have no idea, since I don't focus on the top players of CTB themselves too much.

5. Which CTB map do you like the most?

Gahh, why this question? I mean for some reason, I only play standard beatmaps converted to CTB.

I also don't really focus on mappers so I have no clue.

Was trying out other game modes after playing STD for a year and found CTB to be the most fun.

Who is your favourite CTB player?
When I was still learning CTB, the player who I always looked up to was Rael Kertia (ExCres) as he had taught me how to play CTB and was skilled at DT at the time. Nowadays, I look up to Zak, Tenshichan, and b-a-d-s123 for their amazing SS records, which inspired me to get better at SSing and have more #1s. It is more satisfying to get an SS or #1 than get more pp.

Which CTB map do you like the most?
Maps that are not overmapped, but still fun to play.

No one in particular, as long as I like the map that someone makes, then I'm satisfied.

2. Converts made my fave songs playable, then I realized I could reasonably make top 10 eventually if I keep working on my skill (still working on it haha).

Shimotsuki Haruka - Element of SPADA by Tenshichan. These maps I really love the song, plus the fact I really enjoy play them from beginning to the end!

Yes, I use mods and what I most like to use is HD, but I use other combinations like HDHR, HDDT, HDHRFL, HRDTFL and HDHRDTFL (w/ SD or not) in low star maps. EZ I use sometimes, PF I rarely use (because I don't have patience to use it >.<) and HT rarely².

I prefer solo, but sometimes it's fun to play multiplayer w/ some friends

Wanted to prove that my challenge was possible on t/657528 (Challenge the Users Below You), and thought I was good at CtB from then on out.

I use W for left, E for right. Dashing is with my N key, where my right hand is splayed out on its half of the keyboard.

Cxlucha, Motion or ExGon. They're all p good uwu

Probably Der Wald [Devastating CTB Terror] or AiAe [Infernal]. Half Time though, since I'm shit at hyperwalking and reading AR10 without HD, and shit at reading <AR7.5 with HD because of HT.

After exploring all modes a bit, it felt like the easiest one to start with.

Left shift for dashing, num 1 and 3 for moving.

RottenPotato, for being my friend and multiplayer partner. :)

That's a hard question as I'm not particularly fond of CtB maps. The various difficulties of Renatus by Soleily (the pre-installed map) have been long time favourites, though.

I'm not really focused on mappers and I usually play converts, so I don't have any favourites.

7. Do you use mods? If so, which ones?
Yes, I've always used them within my skill range. Nowadays the EZ mod has my preference over anything. Basically I play converts with EZ or EZNC and CtB maps with HT. For easier maps below ar 7, I might try HR and I use FL for some beginner maps when I want to relax.

8. Do you prefer to play in multiplayer or solo?
Playing multi with a friend is what I like the most!

I like playing converts better than CtB maps, to be honest.

Because it was easy to get rank from it compared to the STD game mode which I was legitly unable to hit and move my cursor I was kinda jealous to other people so I basicly just give up myself saying it was impossible which I don't said it anymore at this days, then I slowly start to get addicted in CTB and I always wanted to get better from it and to learn more and more.. and fc some map and having some rival to play with comparing score and way more.

I mostly like converted map instead of CTB MAP because they basicly give some part which you need to memorise and then having a "FORCE" retry which you barelly can do a first try fc on them and I find them kinda nice to play with and learn specially with HR... but I don't really know the actual meta for be honest.

2. I started playing it because it really made me feel calm
unlike the other modes on osu.

3. I just use the standerd playing style shift and left and right.

4.I think my favourite CTB player is either Exgon or Motion.

5. Probably pluto black hole.

6. JBHyperion, I think hes really good at it and captures the feel of a song.

7. I sometimes use HR because im trying to learn high ar stuff, for the rest I suppose HD and FL are really fun!

8. Solo, I feel that im not good enough for multi yet.

9. At the moment platter it plays a lot nicer then salad.

1. I started playing ctb a little bit after I started playing osu in general.

2. Standard was getting a little boring so I tried other modes.

3. I'm one handed, I use A & D and shift for dash.

1. I've been playing CTB off and on for a little over a year (May 2018).

2. I'm not too sure why I started. I was probably bored of Standard and didn't have a desk to play it on while I was moving, so I experimented with the modes I haven't played before (CTB and mania) and CTB just kinda stuck.

3. I move with numpad 1 and 2 and dash with X. I use a laptop keyboard.

4. I don't really have a favorite player. I'm not that involved in the CTB community.

It's not my favorite because of the map itself; I just really like the song. :^)

6. I'm not sure who my favorite mapper is either. Ascendance is everywhere map-wise, so maybe them.

7. I'm strictly a no-mod player at the moment. I did play HR on Cup diffs, but those don't give out enough pp anymore. Maybe I'll experiment with mods in the future once I've improved.

8. Solo, but it'd be nice to play multis once in a while.

9. I like Salads, Platters, and Overdoses. Salads require little effort, but unlike Cups, you'll be moving most of the time, making them less boring. I can currently play Platters, and that's where CTB gets more interesting and maps are less limited in how they can be constructed. I'm not good enough to play Overdose just yet, but from seeing them being played, they look really cool.

10. CTB is alright. It won't be the main mode I play, but it definitely can be a good break from Taiko if I ever get bored or tilted.

I used to play a ton of Geometry Dash and I found osu! through GD Youtubers most of my friends played CTB so I joined them for some multi and was instantly hooked.

3. What playstyle do you use?
Left shift for dash and . and / for left and right movement.

Oh god where do I start I have met so many awesome people through this game that I honestly cannot choose <3 XD
