While he seems to like a lot of anime, I'm fairly sure there's not much of an overlap between what we like, given what I've seen of his animelist. Also, his choices of avatar and the excessively loud GFX are slightly off-putting if I do say so myself. Other than that there were some things he said on his profile that made me think he might be interesting to talk to.
Short MAL list also looks like you missed a great deal of metatext on some of the shows you have seen
