Yo, M4M from my queue that is somewhat good and not completely terrible.
Best of luck getting this map approved!
[General]
- d = don & k = kat, Caps on either for a Finisher.
- This song actually doesn't hurt my ears too much, which is nice.
- Apologies in advance for any "this needs to be a k/K" nitpicks, we need more k in maps tbh.
[ Inner Oni]
- 00:29:997 (1,12,23,34) - Change to K, loud cymbal noises.
- 00:36:855 (45,51,57,63) - Change to K for same reason as above.
- 00:37:069 (46,47,48,49,50), (52,53,54,55,56), (58,59,60,61,62), (64,65,66,67,68) - Should you apply the change listed above you should certainly edit these to avoid a large monotone k section. Some recommendations for replacement are kkddk, kdkkd and kkdkd (kkddk sounds best but mix it up, like at 00:35:997 (39,40,41,42,43) you have dkkdk which I quite like).
- 00:40:283 (69,70,71,72,73,74,75,76) - Invert this so it goes K d K d etc. You have mapped the loud cymbal noises to D and the more lower tones noises to k, for w/e reason.
- 00:41:997 (77,78,79,80,81,82,83,84) - To be in line with previous suggestions you could change this to kdddkddd but honestly I'm fine with it.
- 00:42:855 (85,86,87) - Ctrl+G this section so the k lands on the cymbal rather than just after it.
- 00:43:569 (95) - Could change to d to fit the drilling 1/6 noise but it's fine for me really.
- 00:45:426 - 00:52:283 - Alright so this section is better towards the end but I find the most obvious noise at the start of this to follow a XXXX XX rhythm, so you could perhaps incorporate patterns like kddk dk in this section instead of having straight single-notes and triplets. This similar sound section also plays multiple times later so consider revising them in this way if you wish to do so.
- 00:48:426 (20) - Implying you don't make this a 4-plet like my above suggestion, change this note to d as the sound is identical to (21) which you have as d.
- 00:58:926 (87) - Change to k as tone is higher than that of (86) which you also have as k.
- 01:02:140 (20) - Same reason given as 00:48:426 (20).
- 01:10:283 (69,70,71,72,73) - Consider revising as the previous 5-plet (63,64,65,66,67) is entirely lower tone yet it has more k than this pattern.
- 01:11:140 (75,76,77,78) - Recommend changing to dk kd since there is a clear rise and fall of tone and note (76) doesn't appear to land on anything other than a drum beat of a stream that you're clearly not mapping.
- 01:12:855 (1) - Change to K for loud cymbal.
- 01:26:569 (1) - Same reason given as 01:12:855. Also you seemed to do this right at 01:40:283.
- 01:53:997 (1) - Same reason given as above.
- 02:07:712 (1) - Same reason given as above.
- 02:21:426 (1) - Should probably make this a k for the cymbal.
- 02:48:540 (52) - Change to k, you did this on a previous stream (I just lost the timing point and am not bothered to go back for it, lol).
- 03:02:569 - 03:12:640 - The music I hear here follows a X XX XXXX XX rhythm so consider revising this area, in the previous areas where this is noticeable I was mostly fine with how it was mapped because there was music for the notes to land on, but the doubles placed here feel mostly out of place. For example, the pattern (5,6) is mapped a 1/4 tick too much to the right, the white tick inbetween (6,7) has a very distinct cymbal sound but doesn't have a hit object. For the first 9 hit objects in this section I found the d kk dk dkkd to sound rather good.
- 03:16:283 (1) - Same reason given as 01:12:855.
- 03:23:140 - 03:28:283 - I'm a but too lazy to put out all the points for this section, but there are evidently loud cymbals that are not mapped as K.
- 03:43:605 (87,1) - Change to dK or dk if you prefer not ending streams with a finisher. (87) is somewhat lower than (86) which you have as d and just the general just of dddkd is a little awkward to play, especially considering the player is slowing down from a burst.
- 03:54:855 (69,70,71,72,73) - Same reason given as 1:10:283.
- 03:57:426 (1) - Same reason given as 01:12:855.
- 04:08:569 (69,70,71,72,73) - Same reason given as 1:10:283.
- 04:10:926 (87) - Consider changing to k as it's higher tone than (86) which you also have as k.
- 04:38:569 (1) - Change to K, not a strong recommendation though since you'd either end up with very mono k or remapping the lighter cymbals to d, which doesn't sound bad but just feels unnatural tbh.
- 04:41:997 (10,11,12,13) - Change to KdKd because cymbals etc.
- 04:45:426 (20) - Same reason given as 01:12:855.
- 04:47:140 (27) - Same reason as above, only not as a finisher. Also applies to notes like (34,39,44) and (46) as a K.
- 05:07:712 (1) - Change to K for cymbal or k if you don't like ending streams with a finisher.
- 05:21:426 (1) - Same reason given as 1:12:855.
- 05:34:640 (110) - Honestly thing this should be a d.
- 05:35:140 (1) - Same reason given as 05:07:712.
- 05:48:069 (106) - Same reason given as 5:34:640.
- 05:48:855 (1) - Same reason given as 1:12:855.
- 06:02:569 (1) - Same reason given as above.
