See, John, this attitude comes from the idea that this forum is inherently shit. Why treat a forum with respect when you just associate it with bad quality? You see, what irritated me about this immature attitude (and I hope you can understand it now) is that I grew up with this forum throughout my teenagehood and even though people may have done bad quality posts from time to time, we still treated this forum with the respect that it deserves. It kind of hurt me and a couple more people (hence why the reaction from the oldfags) to see a bunch of people completely ignore that and just run it to the ground.
As for your viewpoint, I can completely see what you mean. The argument that all non-logical discussion has to come to OT doesn't mean that you can treat it as your shithole, as these guys seem to think. It's actually sad to see that they think this, and even get enjoyment from it. They need to learn to be more considerate of those around them, and stop caring about just their circlejerk.

I'd say it's because they don't actually understand what ITT or OT exist *for*, and just read the descriptions literally, sadly.
