Good luck with timing this monstrosity, I say this because 2 A.M. in particular is an absolute nightmare (tried to map that one myself a while back but gave up because it had some of the weirdest timing I've seen)

As a quick comment, the offset of your final timing point so far should be 454,793

Alright, so I've been looking at this and your timing point at 126,335 (the song 2 am) should have a bpm of 82, not 76. Ugh, that took me way to long to time lol.

Will edit this post with future timing stuff if I find any.

EDIT 1 - First timing point: offset 114 BPM 85 (song: 12:00 AM)

The BPM is for sure right but the offset I can't seem to figure out where the downbeats are supposed to be so the offset is probably wrong.

EDIT 2 - For 12:00 AM, try offset 166 BPM 85 3/4 measure. This seems to be correct if I'm not mistaken.

EDIT 3 - See kudosu'd post for IRC timing stuff

The 50 luminosity rule was added in as a guideline when the osu!standard specific ranking criteria was recently updated, serving as a clearer measure of when a combo color is considered "too dark".
You can view the luminosity of a color by opening up the color selection tool

Going in here and editing each color to be at least 50 luminosity or so can help improve visibility by making the colors brighter but not changing their hues.

I had actually considered this, but did not implement it as it would require very heavy editing of the image to make the lighting match with the sunrise on the shading of the characters and such, which is beyond my capabilities.

04:49:553 (5) - an example of where your terrifying spiral reverse arrow makes the reverse arrow harder to see cause it blends in with the border of the hitcircles... ;;;

You'll probably need to time a lot of sections to be more clean-cut before it can get ranked, I'd ask a timing expert for that, 'cause the timing has to be "perfect" according to the ranking criteria, and I feel that resetting white ticks is a nice way to do it :3

So I think patterns like this are acceptable.

Its hards for me to justify like an entire portion of the map but if I had to sum it up I was mapping the drums and did my best to not be repetitive and make fun 1/2 patterns.

I checked and interested in bubbling this, we fixed things as follows:
  1. Changed combo colours to make sure they aren't ambiguous when placed consecutively.
  2. Changed reverse arrow to be more discernible with other skin elements.
  3. Changed slider border color.
  4. Changed a few red and green lines to make sure they're snapped in right places without any confilcting settings.
  5. Changed the title to "Tobidase Doubutsu no Mori Hourly Song Compilation".
  6. Removed duplicate .osb files.
  7. Fixed other minor skin elements.
Note to other BNs: there's a lot of things to check in this set so please pay more attention cuz I might missed a few things here zz

We fixed things again as follows:
  1. Changed artists to Atsuko Asahi & Manaka Kataoka (metadata on artists can be referred from here).
  2. Fixed inconsistent metadata between unicode and romanized artists.
  3. Colorhaxed to make sure that the reverse arrows won't be combined with bright combo colours.
  4. Fixed a misspelled title.
As for the title, we already checked with a QAT and now it should be good to go.

  3. 01:11:974 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Nazi* Could you make them more consistent each others? I mean seems like they're not mirrored as they should be.
  4. 01:34:605 (3) - I personally would say that the repeat isn't really easy to notice while playing, so I'm pretty sure that players reactions gonna be like "disappointed, angry, or something like that". So, What do you think about changing the speed of these sliders by 1.50 or 2.0x to make them a bit more longer.
  5. 04:49:553 - 05:13:555 (5) - I'd suggest the same here.
  6. 01:52:120 (2,3) - Definitely both of them should be 1/4 rhythm, check them carefully, and you will notice it for sure.
  7. 02:09:681 (2,3) - Same as above.
  8. 02:47:969 (7) - The tail of this one should end in 02:49:088 - here (1/16).
  9. 03:34:067 (1) - Consider to start this spinner here 03:34:231 - Even if this isn't a clickable object; it's not a justification to put it anywhere; therefore I highly recommend you to move it into that tick, otherwise would be a problem after the Qualification due wrong snapping.

I'm here to complain about the first 30 seconds of this map

00:00:749 (1,2,1) - 00:15:055 (7,1) - These are unrankable. You cannot silence both sliderticks and sliderslide!
00:14:558 (6,7) - (minor) Increase the spacing on these, it's using the exact same as 00:15:055 (7,1) - and it also creates an awkward pause after hitting 00:14:558 (6) - where the player automatically moves towards (7), but has to wait for a certain period of time before clicking.
00:24:147 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - (unrankable, subjectively speaking) What exactly are these following? Polarity? Simplification? It really sounds quite awkward considering the actual sounds are right in the middle of the sliders, consider using http://i.imgur.com/SN2uumO.jpg instead. Oh, and 00:31:529 (1) - the spinner should start 00:31:647 - .

More things to consider:
-For objects such as 00:41:541 (3) - 00:48:705 (3) - where the tail is clearly more emphasized, the finish hitsound is overkill. Feel free to keep it, but please lower its volume. It overshadows the song completely :(
-The reverse arrow is quite edgy on gameplay. I understand this is a very easy map, yet the repeat is extremely hard to notice. Both repeat and non-repeat sliders have a leaf on its tail, making it quite hard to notice in the short run. If you want a better example, try playing 04:46:928 (1) - that slider. It just blends way too much.
-There are other unrankable sliders such as 02:47:969 (7) - , the ones I mentioned at the very beginning of the post are just examples of things you need to go through.
-The usage of drum sampleset during the kiai is questionable. Every beat sounds the exact same yet you are giving the idea to the player that it has a complete different sound when it is not. I would stick to a full soft-hitwhistle section.
-Minor 04:49:553 (5,6) - deserve a slight more spacing in order to differentiate it from (4,5).
-Minor 04:55:151 (1) - deserves a whistle. Refer to 04:31:178 (1) - 05:20:441 (1) - for examples.
-Minor 05:53:760 (1,2) - maybe consider using drum sampleset on these?

I would stick to a full soft-hitwhistle section. :arrow: But that would sound so bland. I like the idea of giving that highest note in the three noted pattern of the song special emphasis. I didn't want hitsounds to match, rather to compliment.

-Minor 04:55:151 (1) - deserves a whistle. Refer to 04:31:178 (1) - 05:20:441 (1) - for examples. :arrow: Niether examples have a whistle on them. Furthermore, this was too soft of a sound to apply any sound to it, and a soft whistle would have killed emphasis on the next object.
-Minor 05:53:760 (1,2) - maybe consider using drum sampleset on these? :arrow: Used a drum sample with soft additions.

Good lord all these timing changes this map has had I'm glad I didn't make stars twinkle in time with the music or I'd be joining that suicide pact by now.

get rid of the combo color 2 completely, you aren't going to use it anyway, right?

00:31:647 (1) - would be nice if you could extend the spinner till 00:34:811 - in order to add a hitsound (remember to bump the volume to 25%!)

02:58:030 - there indeed is a sound, but your overall clap hitsounding is quite loud. so it's either a removal or you decrease its volume :(
(work around the claps i pointed out before because they apply to this volume setting warning thingy)

It's perfect as is, and I feel your pattern doesn't capture that as well...

00:24:147 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - the way I see these sliders working properly is when they start on the most important sounds and their sounds fade away for each repeat. the way these are being mapped is completely different from how i see mapping
