Descriptions: (IN PROGRESS)
ALL MEMBERS:
  1. Will set prime, outstanding examples for OT!Denizens to follow.
  2. Will abide by the osu! Basic rulelist.
President/Prez (1)
  1. Takes OT in a positive direction
  2. Has the final say on implementing ideas into OT
Vice-President/VP (1)
  1. Assists the president
  2. Most powerful decision maker, second only to the OT President.
Secretary/SCT (3)
  1. Goes around OT, taking suggestions for OT and presents them at meetings
  2. Negotiates with mods to facilitate their leaving when they come due to poststorms
Historian/HTI (3)
  1. Documents events, sends the worthy ones to OT!News to consider reporting on
  2. Will play a huge role in farewell threads
Peacekeeping Team/PKT (5)
  1. Goes around, makes sure that no one gets hurt
  2. Essentially a mini-GMT team
  3. Will report to mods of suupected malicious behavior
Anti-Cancer Team/ACT (5)
  1. Makes sure nothing gets overused
  2. Prevents spam
  3. Eliminates cancerous tumors with other benign cancers

SIGNUPS UNTIL AUGUST 15, 2017 12:00P HST
SPEECHES MUST BE MADE IN NEW THREADS FOR EACH CANDIDATE RUNNING, FROM AUGUST 15 12:00 HST TO AUGUST 22 12:00 PM HST. THAT MEANS THE EARLIER YOU SIGN UP THE MORE TIME YOU HAVE TO MAKE SPEECHES!
ONCE SPEECHES END, I'LL OPEN UP VOTING ON THE OT!FORUMS, CLOSING SEPTEMBER 3 (FOR MULTIPLE CANDIDATES THE TOP X CANDIDATES WILL BECOME PART OF THE OTC)

By the way, this doesn't count towards actual OT government positions, only the council of OT.
You are new, so I'll explain how things work around here. The OTC (OT Council) runs the sub in the absence of a President and his cabinet. They are like the Unites States Congress or British Parliament. Once there is a president and a presidential cabinet, there is a complex system of checks and balances (that would take WAY too much time to explain here) that keep both powers in check.
Elections for OT President run from 1 December to 1 January at the end of the year, and the president-elect is inaugurated the first Saturday or Sunday of the new year. The term runs for the whole year and the president can rerun for three terms total. The OT Council is replaced every year, but old members can still serve more than once (just not consecutively), with a maximum of five total terms.
So those are the basics of OT politics. I have studied law and politics, feel free to ask me any questions regarding the topic.
