Ok you requestes an NM a month ago and I forgot. Imma work on it now.

00:24:966 (4) - The slider head is not mapped to a strong sound. I think that 00:24:811 (3) is where this slider should start. If all else fails, try not using sliders like 02:14:241 (3,4,5) If you are going to use the circles, space them to reflect the sharply rising note.
01:14:552 (3,4) - Same problem here.
02:24:189 (3,4) - And here.
01:45:173 (1,2) - Maybe make these sliders reverse once to emphasize the two distinct sounds?
02:56:054 (1,2,3,4,5) - Suggestion, but since this section tried to put a twist on every previous pattern of this measure, shouldn't this one also be unique? IF you dunno what I mean, compare 02:26:210 (1,2,3,4,5) in the previous kiai, and 02:51:080 (1,2,3,4) in the final kiai. The second one helps to emphasize the slight twist this section has compared to the others.

Before you're going to shout on me "but this part is 193bpm tho it fits llo", "the song downbeats are on this snap, i think current bpm is ok pls" or "other ppl and pro timers say it's fine hahahahaha". Since there is still time for this map to be looked on until reaching itself to the ranked listing; I don't seek a disqualification for this set unless in consideration or many things to overview. I demand answers and detailed reasons, and for that I shall commence discussion for once.

Recall this as: why the BPM is doubled just for the speed of sliders, or you might've misunderstood the music track. I already understand you by having your timing setup perfect, but honestly the BPM interpretation may not be. Just because using the current bpm for the 10% part of the song doesn't mean it should impeccably time such thing. Almost 3/4 of the song including the intro and choruses, all instruments like snares/claps and upbeats are snapped way dense over 1st and 3rd whereas it supposed to be on 2nd and 4th as usual to all K-pop songs. And this one is absolutely one of them. Technically the timing isn't wrong overall, but also isn't right.

As I told before, 96.5 is a valid BPM that will musically value both main and secondary tracks of the song rather than just for the two 00:50:480 -, 01:50:170 - parts that has its hi-hats landing each 1/1 and 1/2 which will be a bit misleading after bypassing those two parts where the snares starts landing on 2/4 continuously during the build up and the chorus itself. As that, they are supposed to be the downbeats with those "long white tick" everyone are used to call it. I do got a few people looked at this through case by case in-depth, but it seems like most people in common are siding on "it doesn't matter either way". Still, I insist that the current bpm and the beats of the song itself did not intertwine musically. Really, shouldn't the map reflect it and be near perfect to that at least? Low bpm songs aren't that boring to map in the first place though. I mean, you can possibly map 7star out of a 93bpm which is something not a problem if you haven't thought about it before. If that isn't one of your dispute, and about to say "because there's so many things going on man", then why is your BST not doubled? That song also has "things going on". definitely sounds a lot more like 96.5 bpm
new measures start on 00:20:636 - 00:23:123 - 00:25:610 - etc. which is basically half of what your metronome is doing

also listen to where the snares land

Wait i thought we were clear on this since we already had a discussion about it on discord but i didnt know you were waiting for this exact moment. gg well played cv. Also i had a long conversation about the timing with MrSergio and someone else (i kinda forgot) before this map was even being pushed.

So basically, The song changes from half to double bpm multiple times. Such as its 193 at 00:10:688 - but then it goes half at 00:20:636 - then it goes double at 00:50:480 - and same happens throughout the whole song. The opinion i got from others is to keep one bpm throughout the whole song as theres no big need of changing it again and again because having a single bpm would be as fine as having variable bpm changes.On the other hand if i do put 96.5 throughout the whole map it will also sound wrong in the parts as well where the bpm is supposed to be 193 bpm. Having 96.5 or 193 effects not a single thing in game play. So yea, I was kinda unsure about using half or 193 bpm and then i went to Sergio for opinion and i relied upon his opinion and did what he advised me. i still have the log and here you can have it if you are interested http://puu.sh/vAOY1/fe75fce656.txt .

I still prefer to keep 193 tho since changing it to 96.5 wont result in a different game play experience and as i said above 96.5 does sound wrong in some parts also. Just like 193 bpm the half bpm has its downside.

as ren said, some parts like 00:50:480 - is clearly 193 but imo the whole song is actually 193 mainly bcuz this song is based on vocals more than instruments, sure u can said these claps thing should always land on upbeat

even if u did time this by switching 96 and 193 at first before mapping, u wil have to make the map plays 'balanced' on both bpms anyways or u will make another drama out of it for the map being inconsistent
so in this case since it fits so it doesnt have to be fixed would be the best solution here. maps are meant to be played normally no ordinary player is supposed to look and complain about the halving and doubling bpm after they played the map anyways

if u time it to 193 it fits in both 193 and 96.5 parts
but if u time it to 96.5 it only fits on 96.5 and not on 193
again why would u make useless red lines when u can just make single timing point, its the safest of all

i hate to be that one guy, but how the fuck did you guys get this as 193 bpm? the musical structure of the song was designed to be 96.5. all instruments and vocals line up with a 96.5 bpm structure due to where the stresses in the music are. using double bpm "because it's fine" doesn't invalidate the fact that the bpm is wrong.

@Deqqy, That is not the whole point at all, and this is not actually for adding more red timing points just because the beats per minute switches up from here to there or so, it's about the amount of proportion that literally most sections of the song are halved rather than doubled. And the mapper himself opposes that the instruments are forced sped-up over the vocals. I mean, if it's based on vocals more than the instruments, shouldn't vocals be like 193BPM too? There's nothing inconsistent or point in balancing on both BPM where you could make some easy fix by halving BPM and double the slider velocity to make it more official for most parts. And just in case I have the opportunity to ask, if it fits... how does it fit? I do want a better reason than "this bpm is fine cuz it fits" because that argument right now is egocentrically irrational. BPM is actually based on the song's beats and how it is played, not vocals. And quoting in case you don't know: "To people who loves interfering, this is between me and the mapper."

And for ren, taking someone's opinion doesn't support your dispute here. This is your map and you do changes over it whatever you like to, it's not theirs. That's why I only want your reasons from yourself alone. If you have a little bit of studies of music, you would probably say that 96.5BPM and 193BPM are not bad to use. But 96.5BPM is mostly preferred for most of the instrumental tracks (pretty much the vocals too, since you are basing over it through the whole set) around here and is definitely asking for it. As so, if you want to keep the current just because "it fits" without justifying something, why isn't vocals as fast as that? I don't really see any good reason behind this to get away with. As for that part you mentioned, 00:10:688 -. As far as I can clearly hear, the snares are still landing on 00:11:309 - 00:11:931 - 00:12:553 - as which should be pretty questionable. Moreover, the vocals aren't going haywire enough hearing through the start of it until 00:11:931 - where it is NOT exactly a new track/measure of the rhythm composition over the song considering those parts include as 96.5BPM. As a fact that for your argument "same happens throughout the whole song", it's obviously not. Though almost only a few parts could possibly be 193BPM, but that doesn't indulge using it on most parts that the claps/snares/kicks/whatever other instruments highlight itself to be a new track. Exactly the same explanation on the previous post. Which persists my case is still standing.

I highly demand a greater reason than "it fits" or "it's fine", because that clearly does not convince me or anyone against it. So my real question: Under what purpose you're keeping the double BPM to demonstrate the song's base rhythm exactly?

Hi, I'm taking down this map because the BPM appears to be doubled.

Additionally, I think the spread is poorly executed. The gap between Hyper and Insane seems too high than it could offer a proper difficulty for people around Insane level.

I'll give you some points to compare: 01:07:890 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Hyper: Has only 1/2, stacks, no real jumps. 01:07:890 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - Insane: 1/4 and jumps.
Insane: 02:07:579 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - This is even more difficult.
If you compare, Hyper barely has any jumps, while the Insane has some really exhausting and jumps patterns, example: 03:07:268 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2) -
You should definitely look into this again. Problem is that this difficulty is probably needed to justify the spread between Insane and Lit . . but it's not good that the spread on lower diffs is so even and spikes up heavily later on.

Hyper: 00:47:993 (5) - Missing NC.
Insane: 02:49:859 (1,2,3,4) - I suggest silencing all those kind of sliders in this part. Sounds cleaner this way..

ok then . Stuff happened

I changed bpm to half and re-snapped everything in every difficulty.
Changes NC in hyper as irre pointed out. i found some inconsistent NCs myself and fixed them.
Changed the build-ups in hyper and made them a bit harder so that the spread is more smooth. I fixed it in a way that the spread is totally balanced now even without need akitoshi to change anything in insane.

Sigh, didn't ask for a dq to interpret the mapper to change stuffs that forcefully... But oh well, since the issue has finally been resolved, I'm able to briefly look over a few things on the set before you can continue the process and move the set forward to qualification. It won't take long.

  1. Because of the rushed rebubble after you changed the offset of the timing some time ago, you've snapped everything in time correctly, but not the preview point? Sounds subjective to me, but it doesn't mean to neglect it.
  2. You may wanna avoid this kind of inherited green points being unused next time, like this and that. Since there's no objects to make an effect for any purpose, try to keep your setup clean and well-used for hitsounding reasons. (The samples captured are in Firetruck's Normal difficulty, 00:10:377 - & 00:45:429 -. But there are literally more scuttled around in some other difficulties. You may try to find them all commonly on the first three difficulties.)
  3. Following up the suggestion above, better not to create duplicates and overflood when you're already using the same sampleset or no changes over any adjustments.
  4. On the LIT difficulty after the change of BPM, make sure all your notes are snapped correctly in beat: 01:08:822 (1) -, and 01:45:195 (1,2) - maybe(?).
  5. On Hyper difficulty as it's freshly mapped with more 1/4s, some small jumps, and streams on the pre-chorus section... It's time you fill out those raw objects with hitsounds in order to be consistent with the whole set: 00:05:092 -, 00:18:149 -, 01:07:890 - , and so on.
Hmm well, that wasn't really hard changing the bpm after all~ I guess my "alternative option" worked perfectly! 8-) So, after you applied (some of) the suggestions above, you may resume the process in ranking. Let's take it easy for now...

I'm afraid, but honestly, the fix was actually very contraproductive. The star-rating got bumped by 0.2 because you've added 3 streams in the Hyper, and this is just not the way to go - the fix made the difficulty spike a lot in this place, and thus, nothing is "totally balanced". A stream of 8 in a difficulty like this is nowhere suitable. The best solution to me would be that you revert the change in Hyper and added another diff, which introduces the stream-part, as well as the amount of heavy jumps in the insane.
