- Increase sample volume to 40% at least, but 50% is preferable since it's easier to hear samples without becoming deafening.
The first thing you'll need to do is switch the sampleset in the timing menu from N to N:C1. This will enable you to use the custom hs in the .zip I sent. Also, keep in mind that there should never be two of the same samples at the same point in time since volumes are additive, so if you had two normal-hitwhistles play at once at 40% for example, the total volume would add up to be 80% which wouldn't be as fun because then it gets inconsistent!
Starting with the soft-hitnormal. This plays during calm sections of the song such as the beginning and end at like 00:00:644 (644|1,1875|2,2182|2,2490|1,3105|3,3721|1,4029|2,4336|3,4952|2,6490|3) - with the steady 1/3 rhythm in the harmony (not the vocals basically). The way to apply the soft sampleset without having to sample import is through the drop down menu on the center left hand of the screen. Pretty much any heavy sounding kick will use the whistle
The normal-hitclap is used more for places like 00:19:401 (19401|2,19461|1,19521|0,19581|1,19641|2,19761|1,19821|2,19881|3,19941|2,20001|1,20121|3,20151|2,20181|1,20211|0,20241|3,20271|2,20301|1,20331|0) - where the sound is lighter and much faster than the 16th note kicks previously highlighted. Also works in places like 00:23:001 (23001|0,23031|1,23061|2,23091|3,23121|0,23151|1,23181|2,23211|3) - where it's just a straight up buzz kind of sound since kicks would be too loud and obnoxious for it.
00:37:641 - In this section, things are switched up a little. You'll be using a combination of the normal-hitwhistle and the normal-hitfinish (the hitfinish is kind of like a compressed version of the kick). So the rhythm is heavy kick - light kick - heavy kick - light kick. Basically 00:37:641 (37641|0,38601|0,39561|1,40521|1,41481|0,42441|1) - are whistles, and 00:38:121 (38121|0,39081|1,40041|1,41001|0,41961|1,42921|3) - are finishes
