also if you fix it by moving 8x8 pixels it looks perfect nomod and still fine with hr because spacing might be a bit uneven, but at least there are not these really ugly small overlaps like on nomod right now + ar10 makes it much less noticeable
(also mapping for nomod makes way more sense than for certain mods, so that should always take priority)

Hello! I have some concerns regarding this mapset's top difficulty!

obligatory i can pass this map so i am justified in my statements xddd

[Aesthetics]
I feel that this map lacks serious quality in terms of structure and design. Generally speaking, lots of notes and sliders appear with seemingly random positioning and spacing. This can definitely be improved. ~~Things like 00:37:078 (1,2) - be two different slider shapes when you're following vocals for both doesn't really make sense.~~ < Not really important point, it can be improved but is not necessary.

[Rhythms]
My overall largest complaint with this map is the nonsensical logic that is being applied to this song's rhythms. While I understand that there is a lot going on and it can be difficult to justify every note, a large portion of rhythms do not make sense or are just plain random.

Some examples:

00:03:123 - is ignored to apply a pause after the end of the drum on 00:02:987 (6) - Yet, for some reason 00:03:259 (1) - exists when it doesn't have that drum you were just following. I understand that 00:01:078 (1) - is mapped so why shouldn't 00:03:259 (1) be as well, but the problem is that the drums didn't exist when 00:01:078 (1) - was mapped. Given that you exclusively follow the drums after 1, you should remove the second 1 as its not what you're following anymore.
00:05:305 (7) - why are we mapping this beat now when we weren't before?
00:18:532 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - what is this section even following? Why are some notes sliders and some notes circles? I cannot discern any reasoning for your rhythms. its like you're trying to follow the vocals at some points and then flat out ignore it at others, it doesn't make sense. It's also extremely intense for no reason, but that's another section of concern.
00:29:441 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - why are the first two sliders?
00:31:623 (1,2,3,4,5) - what are we following?
00:33:532 - i get you're focusing vocal emphasis but why is this not clickable while 00:33:668 (4) - is? just remove 4 and make an anti jump or something
00:33:805 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - why this rhythm?
00:35:987 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5) - again, weird choices, you follow vocals with your 1/1 usage, but then strangely undermap and overmap. 00:37:078 (1,2) - is very strong 1/2 beats, yet 1/2. It's fine but weird. 00:38:714 (4,5) - on the other hand just makes no sense. You're strongly following vocals and you make 4 as a slider and 5 to be a clickable snare?

[Spacing]
This goes mostly along with the rhythm choices, but spacing is equality chaotic. Turn off your sound and randomly go to a part in the map. Can you tell what part of your map it is based solely on how its mapped? No, because everything feels the same and nothing really stands out. Yes you map hard parts with cross screen jumps and they're recognizable, but generally speaking there's nothing that gives off any sense of uniqueness to any section, it all just feels like a mess of the exact same jumps being repeated with slight variances in spacing depending on whether or not its a kiai time. I understand there is the concern that you don't want to make a really easy map compared to the spiked parts, but there are definitely more ways to do this than how it is done here.

Sections like 00:27:259 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,1,2,3,4,5,6) - could be so interesting and identifiable if they were slow and had spacing and rhythmic choices that better support the music.

"Hakone" is completely inexcusably mapped with zero musical relevance whatsoever. It literally makes up drum rhythms for large chunks of the song to fill in the time between vocal lines. Pyroflayer, you have repeatedly shown to have no idea what you're talkign about within the mapping community, so maybe sit back and watch for once instead of interjecting with inept outcries. "etc" means more examples are presentable, he's got a decent enough amount already.

the song itself doesn't vary very much in general so i don't see whats wrong with it, also although its not very clear, the map does get more intense when the music calls for it.

also tell me where the drum rhythms are 'made up?' because i'm assuming you're talking about 00:18:532 - and i definitely hear a drum rhythm in the music, why wouldn't he map the drum when the vocals are messy and unsnapped?

nah, it's not drum. i followed more major sound in here, also some circle 00:01:350 (2,4) - add for continous flow playing. because it's higheset diff, if i follow drum in here, it don't make sense why i skip 00:01:623 - .

좀 더 명확히 하자면, Xexxar는 BN의 권한으로 주관적 퀄리티에 대한 이유로 이 맵에 "거부권"을 행사한 것이며 이는 BN의 역할 중 하나로 보장되어있습니다.

거부권을 행사한 BN과 반드시 일정한 합의점에 도달하실 필요는 없습니다. 해당 비트맵의 현재 디자인에 동의할 수 있는 (기존에 버블을 준 Lasse를 제외한) BN 2명의 동의를 추가로 받아낼 수 있다면 퀄파로 갈 수 있습니다. 가능하면 이 맵에 동의하지 않는 븡과의 일정 수준 합의점을 도출해내는 것이 권장되긴 하지만요.

Hello Lami,

Personally I would strongly recommend you to re-consider Xexxar's mod from the scratch. The highest difficulty does indeed have some major issues that Xexxar talked about in his mod.
From my point of view, everything I can tell you is that 00:18:532 - said section should be mapped differently rhythmically speaking (not so 1/2 spamm-y), and so, a different intensity. The map looks rather "generic" from what I have seen and using a different mapping technique might be more than appreciated.

Feel free to ask Xexxar for mod help, I am more than sure he will help you out with a lot of things you might encounter on his mod.

If I wasn't clear enough with the main issue I have with this map.

The real issue I have with this map is that everything is a bland jump with no unique pattern designs: no linear motion, no real rhythmic variety, no real focus on vocals (the most dynamic part of the song), no aesthetic variety to match different parts of the music. Everything feels washed out and it doesn't feel like I'm appreciating the music when playing. With a song that has a very similar baseline throughout, you should be trying to appreciate the vocals as much as possible, because they are the most unique part of the song that allow for that.

Honestly I believe this map needs nearly a complete remap and heavy alternations to make it so that music is being more appreciated, rather than just the generic mapping that doesnt have any weight or musical justification behind it.

From my point of view the section 00:18:532 (1) - feels pretty fine as it is.
Most sliders are put on kicks, rhythm is almost constant 1/2 and vocal is offbeat at some point so...

i see u missed 00:24:805 (6) - finish on head + maybe curve it like you did with 00:20:441 (6) - ?
about 00:28:896 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - try to decrease density by using 1/4 repeaters, will be pretty cool though.
and ye 00:27:259 (1) - missed finish too =w=

계속 Xexxar의 의견을 무시하고 난 다른 BN 두명 찾아서 랭크시킬거다 라는걸 계속 말하고 다니는것보단 차라리 애매모호하게 끝내버리는게 더 좋았을텐데.. 라는게 제 의견입니다

모딩v2 나오면 저 모딩에 대해 다른 사람들이 댓글 답글같은걸로 논쟁하고 그럴수 있으니 조금 더 편한점은 있을듯

애초에 쟤도 저보고 내말대로 고치기전에는 계속 거부권행사할꺼다.이랬는데

Everything feels washed out and it doesn't feel like I'm appreciating the music when playing. With a song that has a very similar baseline throughout, you should be trying to appreciate the vocals as much as possible, because they are the most unique part of the song that allow for that.

In a way, yes. Assuming that your goal when mapping is to actually represent the song, then you should be following the song's changes in intensity, instrumentation, phrases, etc. which means that if there are changes in the song (for example, a slower part), then your map should also change accordingly (reducing density, spacing, or however you want to represent it). The issue Xexxar is pointing out is that your map does not have any major structural changes, and so does not follow the song it's based on.

I hope this clears it. I'm willing to give you more details or more in-depth explanation if you want me to.

applied some suggestion after some discussion with some mapper.

* 00:27:259 - reduce spacing, rhythm this section
* 00:18:532 - adjust some placed(guess 70% redesign here). about rhythm, i try to more 1/2 rhythm with keep emphasis finish <=> 1/1 sldier.
* add hitsound what kalibe's mention.

I don't really agree with the reasons for the pop. I don't think you should ever have to map to vocals. Some people prefer mapping to the instrumental track in order to supplement the vocals. Also, mapping quality isn't always determined by aesthetics. Of course, if your map looks nice, then its more likely to be high quality, but we shouldn't rely only on visual/aesthetic quality because not all mappers base their mapping on structure and easily-distinguishable patterns in editor.

Anyways, call me back when everyone's replied. I'll assume since this has been bubbled before, that metadata has been confirmed somewhere?

I don't really agree with the reasons for the pop. I don't think you should ever have to map to vocals. Some people prefer mapping to the instrumental track in order to supplement the vocals. Also, mapping quality isn't always determined by aesthetics. Of course, if your map looks nice, then its more likely to be high quality, but we shouldn't rely only on visual/aesthetic quality because not all mappers base their mapping on structure and easily-distinguishable patterns in editor.

Anyways, call me back when everyone's replied. I'll assume since this has been bubbled before, that metadata has been confirmed somewhere?
