I'm pretty sure you just need to make your ranking-panel.png as that "custom background" and have it large enough so that it spans the whole game screen.Living Flower wrote:

A few years ago, you could easily add a custom Background there, but now - as far as I know - you can Change the Background only, if you Change the Background of the whole beatmap. To solve this Problem, I was asking for.
nope, because the ranking-Panel.png has now anotther fix-Point. it doesn't matther how big I'll skale the Picture, because if it's set to a lower Position as "highest Point" it won't work at all (sorry for my bad grammer, english isn't my Primary language).Starrodkirby86 wrote:

Alright thanks ^-^ Also another question, so Ive changed 'star2' and I got what I wanted on the selection screen but one problem:Rio- wrote:
"SongSelectActiveText: R,G,B" in your skin.ini, under [Colours] tab
Usually the default one is "SongSelectActiveText: 0,0,0" which is Black... So change it in your skin.ini
Alright, thank you for your help :3Haskorion wrote:
depends, if you also want to get rid of combo and kiai fountains.
if yes then it is better to just use a blank pixel as star2.png but this will also get rid of them in the song select.
if no and only the ones from the cursor are distracting you can use "StarBreakAdditive: 0,0,0" in the colours section to have the cursor particles invisible but you will still have them in combo and kiai fountains.
Do you want it to be like what's in the video?weegeeweeg wrote:
I enjoy the skin I'm using, but it doesn't give me anything to indicate my progress when I'm completing a spinner. Here is an example.
How can I go about inserting an image into the spinner's background that is dim and then becomes bright as the spinner approaches completion?
I've tried changing the spinner-background.png file to a bunch of semi-transparent and opaque text, and it doesn't seem to change at all during spinner completion, so maybe I have to set it to do that somewhere? The skin is using version 2.4.
Thanks in advance

I think there is a slight offset difference between the two images, but I don't recall... You either want to experiment or look at other skins that have this property if you want them to precisely line up.
assuming youre talking about the hit-lighting, the best way is to just disable it in the options, but you can also replace the image with a blank pngtoadly wrote:
How do I get rid of the rings that appear after I hit a circle? The one that slowly fades away from where the note/end of long note was.
I can't seem to find the file that does it

Hey, i've got a problem with my skin. HERE'S LINK TO MY SCREENSHOT
As you can see i placed dots as default numbers, but when the circle number is above 10, the dot appears twice... How can i fix it?
Don't inlcude the first framenumber. Just write down the picture name.Sora Kagami wrote:
In Mania, I've been trying to animate the notes themselves. Now normally from what I've seen, it wouldn't be a problem more than numbering the pictures. But because I'm going more DDR oriented I've used the skin.ini to set the pictures. So is there a way to animate the notes within the skin.ini that I'm missing?
I don't see the difference between the 4 images (at least from my eyes)...Rio- wrote:

The background = scorebar-bg.png
The Health-bar = scorebar-colour.png
If you want to make the animation of it, rename the 4 images to scorebar-colour-0.png, scorebar-colour-1.png, and so on until scorebar-colour-3.png
You can use it without permission under fair use technically since you can roughly define what you are doing as "progression of the arts" xD. With that being said, its lees likely that the hitsounds you will encounter are copyrighted, so you wnt have a problem using them, since you can claim to have made them yourself and nobody can do much about it. But if you still have a problem with it, you can use the default sounds with out permission as long as its used within the main osu client.Antiverse wrote:
I've made a skin and want to share it with you guys, but I used sounds from another skin, because I can't make my own, I don't know how.
What should I do? The sounds were taken from Rafis 2016 skin, but they can be found in a lot of other skins too, I can't find its creator.
All graphics are done by me, fonts I used are free for non-commercial use, icons I used for making mods icons are free too. Should I look for their creator as well?
