Honestly I would avoid Razer at all costs. They have the occasional quality mouse but you're risking your arse with a product that will break super quick.

I have a CM Storm Trigger that's lasted me 2 years and it's still working as well as the day it arrived. My sister also has a Corsair K70, but that just arrived so I can't speak for its longevity.

any mechanical keyboard will do, just avoid the ones with kailh switches and the ones with non-standard bottom rows (corsair, razer, logitech) if you give a shit about keycap customization

whats wrong with kailh switches anyway, i bought one with it for like $30 and its just as good as any $80 cherry switches keyboard

also only manchild buys keyboard or any parts with rgb leds on it haha

tfw i got an rgb keyboard

kailh switches are prone to key chattering, and double clicking, and inconsistencies (e.g. ttesports poseidon and razer keyboards)

they may be as good as cherry switches if you get lucky, but if not (which has a high probability) then gg. Applying for warranty is pretty stressful too.

Don't read too much.
Reading is nice but it will only get you so far. At your level playing more different maps will benefit you as much as reading those guides because you will learn what feels good on maps.
You can just put circles on the map and then ask the most polite person on your friendlist for an opinion to have it politely torn apart.

should most def ask a friend or a high ranking player to judge your map
that's the only way I've been getting honest opinions and usually it's just me putting stuff too close cause I didn't realize how much this community has evolved, mapping wise
