I watched some dubbed anime like DBZ and Doraemon on local channels as a kid. But it was Cardcaptor Sakura on Animax (somewhere around 2005, I think) that got me hooked. I had a 6 years break until I got internet and learned that anime is seasonal.

my computer broke in april 2013 and didn't got it replaced till the end of the year(which is the time i started playing osu!) and i only have the iPad for internet.
some time later around the time of the Attack on Titan hype i saw in the history a stream site which my lil bro prolly used to watch.. there i watched aot(as my classmates rly did talk about it) and back then it was still ongoing so i was left hanging(as i said, my pc broke and had nowhere to play) and began to watch the other series i've heard in the past.. then after the show ended i've heard about new animes and soon began following them by seasons.

When I watched Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online on 2012 back then. So I started to watch more anime after that.

When I was 4, my big sister introduced me to Spongebob. My life had been changed, and from that point on it was my mission to watch every episode of the Anime epic which was Sponugu Bobu!: Pantsu no Shikaku!. It was an amazing experience, and one that I would never regret nor forget. It was a true beauty, and because of this, Spongebob is my favorite anime.
I "technically" discovered anime via toonami is a kid around 1997 (at age 7). Although I didn't have any knowledge about the term "anime" nether do I know what it is. I just thought of it as a regular cartoon action show. It wasn't until late 2004 (7 years later) as a freshman in highschool (9th grade/14 years old) when a friend of my brother's introduced us to drawing anime (and eventually anime/japanese music in 2005 by letting us borrowing some of his burned CDs. We would then use his CD's and save the songs into our Xbox lol). We eventually watched anime via Adult Swim as well. A few more years passed by (hello 2007 and 2008) and we were introduced by one of my father's old college friend who happens to have a son who loves anime as well. He introduced us to LimeWire (which, as you know today, does not exist anymore), ecchi anime (Tenjou Tenge and Jubei Chan), and more anime music. That's how I (and my brother, RIP) discovered anime.

Discovering anime has actually lead us into Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) in late 2005 (which has a lot of Japanese music) and we loved it. A year later (in 2006) when we finally have high-speed Internet for the first time, we took advantage of the Internet mainly watching YouTube videos of anime (including some AMV), mainstream music, and DDR gameplay (some of those videos were actually Stepmania and ITG, but we didn't know at the time). Eventually, we were lead to a video of a Stepmania player named Arch0wl playing quasar in 1.5x speed receiving all perfects resulting in an AAA rank. At the end of that video, displays a website called Arch0wl.com. We didn't check the website at first, but my brother (RIP) eventually did when he was sick and was absent from school (and I would assume that he watched that video again and checked out that link which leads us to, you guessed it, Flash Flash Revolution (FFR) in late 2006). He ended up trying the game out and eventually introduced the game to me and I ended up loving the game. This eventually lead us to Stepmania a month or so later in 2006 which contained more music -> then to more anime and anime/japanese music -> and from there, everything just branches out from 2007 to 2011 such as touhou, eroge (didn't know it called a visual novel/eroge at the time. I only thought of it as a game lol), Japanese game shows, anime streaming and anime (English dub only) downloading websites, and so on and so forth. I did discovered osu! around 2010, but the game didn't interest me at first sight, so I didn't even bother with the game and skipped it (only to end up playing it a year later (Hello 2011) and ended up loving it to death lol) -> more touhou in early to mid 2011-> eventually giving osu! a try in September 2011 (a month after my brother started) in a new laptop (since multi-accounting was forbidden and we were smart enough to not play at the same computer lol). The first thing I discovered in osu! was nightcore music, much more eroge OP music/video, much more anime/japanese/touhou music and their respective videos, much more anime, etc. Over the years of playing osu!, I ended up becoming a weeaboo hahaha (what has osu! done to me XD). Anyways, I will end from here, thanks for your time. 
Probably seeing random anime episodes on Toonami. As much as I hate to admit it, Naruto got me interested in anime. Luckily my taste in anime has evolved over time.

Well when I used to watch the Pokemon anime as a child I was told that people call that an "anime".
Then about 5 - 8 years later when I was in Year 5 and 6 at school I watched a bit of Ranma with my only friend at the school I had recently moved to, wasn't too interested at the time. In Year 6 we watched some anime on the interactive whiteboard as a few people from the lower year wanted it at Lunchtime. I decided to stay and watch it, enjoyed it... a lot.

Grew up with anime. When I was a kid I watched Pokemon, Digimon, Gundam and then it just naturally progressed until I hit middle school. Once I finished middle school I started getting really into anime, downloading in HD to watch and not settling for anything lower than that.
The first anime series I watched to get back into anime at the end of middle school was Love Hina and Asura Cryin'. Then progressed to stuff like Code Geass.

When I was younger, I watch a couple of anime like almost everybody else, Pokemon, Digimon, Medabot, Beyblade and that kind of stuff. Though, Three years ago, I've saw a kind of compilation of anime on youtube or so and seeing more and more video, I end up on a site who was talking about some upcoming anime, at the time, I felt a bit alone and tried to fill that emptiness by watching romance anime, and I found Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, and search more and more anime in the romance, comedy kind.
Hmm, i dont know where i must start. It was rain after school (kinda dramatic xD) and i dont bring umbrella. So my friend ask me to go to her house because her house not too far from the school. I get in to her house and saw her big brother watching cartoon (i dont know "anime" words that time). I ask to my friend what was her brother watching at, she just reply "go find by yourself". So i decided to ask her big brother and he tell me a lot of stuff about Anime. I started intrest with that and go to find out more.

I've been watching anime since I was a baby and just grew up with it. Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin and Dragonball were the earliest anime I could remember watching in the tv. I wasn't allowed to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion at the time though because it was too disturbing for a 4 year olds eyes but I always watched that too whenever I could

Been watching anime since very young, so my parents introduced me to it I guess.
Well, I watched Spirited Away as a child then I watched the other Studio Ghibli films then started watching these TV shows that I know now as anime.
Little 3rd grade me stumbled upon a manga when I visited the library and that got me into manga which got me into anime.
Around 2, I watch Mobile Suit Gundam Victory.

Two years ago, I was all depressed because a family member died. And y'know what cures depression? Internet! One thing led to another. I discovered vocaloid (not an anime. but the box art for a good chunk of the vocaloids is in that style), and eventually anime. My first anime was Soul Eater, which I heard of from a friend. My dad and little sister introduced me to more anime.
Eventually, I found a little gem called Madoka Magica. I found it through deviantart. I also found Sword Art Online at that time, so I ended up dropping Madoka Magica after episode 8 because I found the concept of SAO more interesting, and Sayaka's death was a tad to depressing for my taste, because blue died. ;_;
After finishing up SAO, I picked up Madoka Magica again, starting from episode 8. Episodes 9 and 10 were my favorite episodes, because after those two episodes, I finally understood Kyoko and Homura's actions. And it morphed Homura from second best to number 1 in terms of favorite character from that particular anime. Kyoko was originally number 1. I then watched Rebellion Story a bajillion times, which pushed Homura down to 2nd best and Kyoko was back at the top. Also, I wanna make Kyoko my waifu.
I also watched a good chunk of SAO II. Haven't finished it yet though.

That I know cartoon is not anime. My friend challenge me to finish all bleach episodes and movie in 2 weeks. Challenge accepted, finish it all in 10 days and got a terrible fever for a month, reborn as an otaku.. but doesn't really into depth of anime world. Went to youtube to watch anime review and found Anohana... feels trip.
One day, back when my brother still lived in my current house, I caught him watching an episode of DBZ. I later got him to show me where all of the episodes were on his computer, and I finished all of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT pretty quickly. I later learned that he had more anime such as Death Note, Gurren Lagann, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, etc., and I watched them all. Since then, I've watched plenty more, and I continue to watch it as much as I can.

My dad introduced me to Dragon Ball Z at the age of like 3 or 4, didn't really pick up on other anime till age 7 when I saw Naruto on TV. Then again wasn't interested or really didn't look into it till age 11, now I've been watching anime since then.

Walked into the movie rental section one day, accidentally knocked off some "H" titles (took me like a week to figure out that "H" is it's own branch of anime) and looked up on the web what the genre was called, and then I started to watch shows like Evangelion (2015 ftw) and that's how I found anime

I don't know when I actually learned that anime was a thing. But when I was younger I read Naruto and discovered by a friend that Naruto had an anime as well, so I watched it.
Um... I was extremely young and my mom enjoyed all of the Hayao Miyazaki movies and we would watch them as a family.

I grew up with the Fire Emblem game series since my uncle is a collector of those games, and I watched the OVA anime based on the first game. After that, I ventured off to shows like Princess Tutu and Baccano, and I wound up where I am today, constantly adding to my list of animes to watch.

I got involved by reading light novels of Suzumiya Haruhi series.
First time I've seen bleach on old popular polish TV channel called Hyper. After many years my friend told me to watch fullmetal alchemist and I became an otaku.
My cousin introduce me to Naruto when i was like 9 or 10, liked it enough to watch it through, after i catched up with manga i read untill the last chapter and then i found out it was still ongoing at that point. Was really tired of waiting for the next one so i found Bleach, then One Piece, then FMA, Death Note...
Had a very nice group of friends who introduced me to actually watching animes, but before that I googled it so I could copy images off Google and draw them out, that's how I started drawing too.

Also the anime girls' cuteness makes me sick by now - every time I remember the real girls, which I don't even want to talk about. Bleakness of the real world is unbearable - but the world of anime only intensifies the despair I feel. Anime is a very fragile shelter for people who couldn't find a place under the sun.

In the past when I was a kid, I would watch some anime with my mother. I never really understood it from how young I was, but I still enjoyed it. Then years later, at the end of middle school (around June 2014), I was looking for songs to listen to. I came across a cool looking AMV, and I really liked the song. I knew it was anime from my past experiences, so i decided to try and find that anime to watch. After watching Black Rock Shooter, it became my first anime when I decided to really get into watching, and enjoying anime.
A few years before my best friend found out that she was going to move to Japan because her dad was going to do his PhD there, she began to research and learn Japanese and all those stuffs, and kinda dragged me along with it. At first I only love Japanese culture and language, but then we discovered anime and it was a sad anime (can't remember what it's called) so I kinda got emotionally attached to it :')
It was a really boring day and I asked my mother if she has any ideas, she told me to draw Sailor Moon.

I was too innocent before i discovered anime. I was just scrolling through Facebook and found a lewd anime scene, I was curious so i did some research and started watching that anime xD. And after than happen more and more lewd anime stuff appear on my Facebook. Curiosity probably helped me discover anime :v
