  1. Add "opening" to tag.
  2. replace Kiaitime to 00:34:973 ~ 00:55:842.

Easy


  • Setting

  1. SliderMultiplier:0.600000005960464 to 0.6. then use "Recalculate Slider Lengths".
    But not unrankable issues. Is up to you whether you do it.

  1. 00:24:538 (1) - Remove whistle from only slider end.
  2. 00:29:103 - Add clap
  3. 00:32:364 (3) - Add clap to end

Make sure you listen to the music for your hitsounding. It's usually good but sometimes it goes off.

00:48:832 (4,5) - Fix this curve, these notes are too wide from the rest of the curve.

Normal:
00:50:625 (1) - Move this so there isn't overlap
00:53:234 (3) - ^
01:01:060 (1) - ^

Easy:
Try avoiding easies that are like (notes on 1st and 3rd white tick, rests on 2nd and 4th white tick), mostly because those get boring fast.
00:32:364 (3,4) - Try making these parallel to the x-axis.

There is quite a few tiny spacing inconsistency issues, I suggest you turn grid snap off and recheck every note, though I will point out some obvious ones (in fact if you make a sightly larger spacing you don't need to adjust this XD). Besides I may name that "Hard". Good diff in all, though.

I wont remap my insane because this:
1 - It's the map I made which I think is my best, redoing it may just give worst result.
2 - I'm completly not in mapping mood actualy and complety lazy to remap, so it would take ages. I don't think JT123 should wait rank because some found my map a little too easy.
3 - It's probably not the easiest insane published, too

I wonder why this map still not have at least a star icon... I don't think that song is so unpopular, and the map is actualy published since so many time (almost a year), have recived many mods and is pretty good.

JT123 I liked your new hard ;) At start it seamed wired because I almost know the rythm of my insane and it's pretty different, but after few secs I enjoyed it :)

Hard

00:46:712 (1,2,3,4,5) - Even though you can see those standard-stars in every 2nd beatmap, I think it would look much better.

While the other difficultys are almost perfect, I don't really like this one. There are no real "problems" or specific notes, but it's the whole concept of the difficulty. You shouldn't call this an insane diff, because there is no real challenge. The distances are incredibly low, and it doesn't even include tapping, because it's mainly build out of sliders. Also, it has parts where it's just a chain of sliders and circles going around the middle of the grid. I mean those parts:
00:07:255 (5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5) - Going around counter-clockwise.
00:25:516 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2) - Going counter-clockwise.
01:04:973 (4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Going counter-clockwise again.
01:16:712 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Clockwise.
I don't want to sound harsh, but my english isn't the best you know. I think, this difficulty could be ranked like that, but it's really boring in my opinion. A good insane diff needs some jumps, some interesting sliders or some interesting formations. This one has got none of these.

Still, great mapset. If you give me kudosu I'll give back a star, but currently I don't have any :b

00:35:951 (1,1) - These notes or 00:38:560 (1,1) - these. It is not a must, but you could delete these notes or some others in this section. This part is the calm one in the whole song, so you could map to this calm-part with some less notes up to 00:45:408. I actually think it would sounds nice and emphasize the up coming part a bit more due to a rise of notes. Think about it, I'm sure it is some consideration worth.
01:17:690 (3) - When deleting this note, you might be able to emphasize the feeling which comes up at 01:17:853.
01:18:995 (3) - Same here, just with the difference that we don't have this low tuned sound. But might emphasize the up coming part at really well 01:19:321.

Actually this is quite a nice map. Interesting pattern constellation you there.
Only thing you might want to consider is to use the "deletion" suggestion I gave you. After all, you mapped nearly the whole map in one row without a break if we don't consider the gap at 00:55:516. Remember: Some gaps / breaks can emphasize certain parts in the song as well~

01:17:690 (4,8) - how about deleting these as well? I suggested this in the muzukashii as well, it would sound interesting to the deep sound we have at 01:17:853 and the deletion at 01:18:995 would be an additional effect of this. You would emphasize up coming part a bit more.

You improved a lot in mapping, Kuro. This map has consistent beats which are placed really good. Kat ration has been tuned down which emphasizes them really much when using in the mass of don. Good solution and pattern understanding. I have nothing to say here anymore.

Generally you should try to avoid SV multiplier changes in easy maps. It is no major change here so I could let it pass if everything else was really great and the SV change was justified. But here it looks more like settings were taken from mapping a higher diff. If you can sort this out this otherwise solid diff would be good to go.

00:03:669 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - avoid the overlaps. You can do this by increasing the snapping distance. Make sure your DS is still consistent after the changes throughout the whole map. This might require adjustments of all other snappings as well.
01:06:277 (1) - interesting...
01:16:712 (1) - also interesting
01:16:712 (1,1) - spacing


[Teru's Normal]
00:49:973 (2,1,2,3) - not a fan of these overlaps (especially in a 'Normal')

Otherwise the most solid and by far best executed standard map in the set.


[Hard]
Many inconsistencies in combo settings and what beats you follow in your map. I'll try to point out the most important ones but the list is not complete.

Case 1:
00:13:614 - there should be another one of those sliders here...did you delete one by accident? http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1531761
00:14:429 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - the 1/2 triplet doesn't follow anything here. Try selecting the whole combo and use CTRL + G

After following those 2 steps you can see how the resulting jump distances (roughly doubled due to reversing one pattern and adding in another object) make this part much more interesting to play. The same techniques can be applied in other places. You can experiement a bit but be sure to not overdo it since this is a 'Hard'.


Case 2:
00:28:451 (7,8) - if you want try something like this to make the baet feel more natural and consistent with your partial vocal follow: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1531746
00:29:755 - do NOT leave out this downbeat, I suggest mapping this properly

This one is more fundamental. You should NEVER leave out dominant downbeats that start a new verse or an entirely new part of a song. It is very confusing for players who don't know this song like you do (because you mapped it).


Case 3:
00:32:364 (4,5) - spacing error (should be 1,20x)
00:32:853 (5,6,7) - starting the sliders on red ticks (1/2 notes) is counter intuitive here and doesn't make much sense from a compositing perspective. Try to offset the sliders by using a circle after the long slider before.
00:33:505 (7,1,2,3,4) - the end of the slider (7) is already part of the new combo and belongs to the next part. Try to map it seperately and use the NC on the downbeat appropriately. While you are at it you could shift the pattern into something with a bit more flow and spread it out a bit to reflect the increased volume. http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1531868
00:35:299 (1,2) - the slider (2) also ends on a downbeat that marks a new line. You should make the player "do" something here (start slider or place circle) to make this part fit the song

[Arnold0's Insane]
I had to check twice to see if I was on the right mapset. This map feels so retro down to the great use of normal whistles...I don't know what to say. Overall I think the mapping style somehow fits the theme of the song/show combination. It surely is not what players will expect from an 'Insane' diff nowadays but as an hommage to the maps of the past I would let it slide (no pun intended).

00:21:929 (1,2) - NC could start on (2) if you want (not a requirement) since you delay some combos for the vocal parts later on like 00:27:147 (7,1) -

Now if the whole map was snapped pixel perfect I would've thought everything done here was 100% intentional. But I'm still not sure. I'll just wait for a reply and then decide what to do later.




Overall I don't mind the classic/different/unusual/whatever approach of the Insane map here. The 'Easy' has to be fixed with the overlaps and different SVs. The 'Hard' needs a lot of work but I gave you some crucial examples of how to handle it. Some effort from your side is still required ;) The standard maps of this set are not yet worth a bubble as a whole. If you need further help you can try to catch me ingame and we can go over some changes or ideas together. Otherwise you should focus on getting some mods to polish the 'Hard' and revamp the 'Easy'. Maybe even get some more feedback for your GD Insane to see if people like this oldschool approach or not.
