I am worried about the difficulty gap between Nely's Salad and Ascembomb's Platter. Perhaps the Platter needs to tune down the difficulty a little, since there are two rains. we'll just lower the difficulty a bit and if anyone wants to say its a bad platter we just delete it and graveyard the set:)

Since you have to follow the rule that leaves a 2/1 space between a spinner and the note, you cannot put a complete slider that ends at 01:25:878 - . Maybe changing this to a circle matches the song more. The slider right now doesn't sound good with the tail part. Leaving some space is also good for beginners. okkkkkkkkk

00:04:961 (3,4) - I think it is not a good spot to place a dash here. Even so, (4) is not strong enough to be emphasized by such dash. Maybe a walk to (4) would fit here. (It is FC'able without dashing but it is close call and I have dashed quite a few times without any alerts) walking it is
00:24:581 (4,1) - Why not a HDash here? I was expecting this as you did that at 00:21:987 (2,1) - but not here. whoops
00:27:662 (2,3,4) - This is a part that the dash at (2,3) can also mix up with that of (3,4). Both of the distances require dashing to get through. Maybe you want to focus on one of them more, while the other one can be caught without dashing? This is also catch-able without dashing, but due to the large movement of (2), most of the players will dash at (2,3). changed a bit
00:49:555 (5,6,7) - This is quite hard to catch, because it is quick and the distances between them are large. Maybe you can shorten them a little. sure

To be honest, I think most of the problems encountered here could be fixed by lowering the difficulty of this difficulty, maybe the slider velocity. It also differs much comparing to the Salad. I changed a few things on my end, but the SV stayed the same.

00:09:501 (5,6,1,2,3) - This is doing pretty well, yet I think it could be improved if you emphasize the dash more to the one spot, so each players will dash at that particular spot for a better rhythm. Like this, you may want to focus 00:10:312 (1) - so you can add dash at 00:10:150 (6,1) - while having a walking movement at 00:09:501 (5,6) - . I think it's fine the way it is, since both parts are emphasized equally.
00:11:609 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Firstly, this is fond of an Overdose pattern, are you sure to use it? Secondly, if you want to use it, fine but 00:12:014 (6,7,8) - is a pretty hard move, since this requires a quick turn, and it can be easily missed by most players. flipped 7,8
00:21:662 (2,3,4,5,6) - It is easy to miss (4,5,6) since this require a dash holding movement, and (3,4,5,6) is seen as a linear pattern in gameplay, so it is quite weird to be played. Maybe you can change this pattern to make it better. spaced things out to make it a bit more comfortable and less compact
00:23:608 (4,1,2,3,4,5) - ^, and it is even harder because (1,2,3,4,5) is basically catch-able if players hold their dash fully for here. This one is fine, really. I'm a tapdash player and had no issue with this
00:24:419 (5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4) - This is strange to the rhythm, maybe you can have it divided to be 00:24:419 (5,6) - as a part, and 00:24:581 (7,8,1,2,3,4) - for another. You can do it like 00:11:609 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - and flip the timeline of it. nice idea!
00:29:770 (3,4,1) - Is it necessary for a HDash to work here? There are no such double HDash patterns later on for this stanza, maybe you can remove it and place a HDash instead. removed
00:39:500 (1,2,3) - I think it sounds better if you put HDash at (2,3) instead. agree
00:40:959 (2,3,4,5,6) - It is a good attempt to put a curve here, but I think the degree of movement here can be enlarged. Right now, (3,4) is at the same position during the gameplay, and this part doesn't require much movements. ye

I am basically fine with this Overdose, but the major thing that annoys me are those HDashes with straight sliders. Would you consider slanting them? It also breaks the rhythm because players may dash at the middle of the slider just to be able to get the tail of the sliders, which makes it very hard to handle. I adjusted the ones i felt were particularly hard.

00:45:988 (1,2,3) - This is inconsistent with the later pattern 00:47:933 (1,2,3) - , as this part has HDashes while the latter does not. I suggest having no HDashes at these parts though.
01:20:201 (3,4,5,6,7) - This can be confusing to be played as those dashes can be mixed up among the jumps here. For instance, the HDash at 01:20:201 (3,4) - provides momentum to catch 01:20:525 (5) - . Such patterns here are also cruel, since missing here will result in a fail (not able to get back on track if you miss such chunk of dash, and they need momentum to catch).

Timing stuff was discussed over at IRC; while I still have doubts on the timing right now, it is technically correct so we decided to stick with it. I'll try to get someone to re-check on the timing before I re-bub this.
For all difficulties except Piku's Rain - 00:05:934 - Since there's that open hi-hat sound on this tick, a whistle should be added onto this tick to emphasize on that.

[Cup]

01:07:391 (2) - If you are adding whistles to every kick, you should do it on the head of this slider.
Honestly those soft whisltes in the kiai doesn't seem to fit for me when it is used to emphasize on the kicks, as they are quite high pitched compared to the dampness of the kicks. I would replace those with this instead.
Well other than that the difficulty's cool

[Xinely's Salad]

00:19:555 (5) - Could use a clap on the head as there's a snare sound.
00:30:257 (1) - While the note itself doesn't include a strong cymbal(instead a ride I think?), that cymbal-like sound could be accentuated more if you were to add a dash here. Or if you don't want a dash, increasing the distance a little bit more to give a little more emphasis could work too.
00:50:365 - Maybe you could use a note here to emphasize on the vocals like 00:51:662 (4) - ; the vocals are quite strong here too soooooo

00:12:096 (7) - Even after hearing the song for a lot of times, I don't really get the hyper here. Only thing I can see that's following is the snares, so technically 00:11:771 (3) - this note should be having a hyper as well to emphasize on that. Personally doing that will make the pattern much more harder, so instead I would change up the whole stream's rhythm to be this instead.
00:16:636 (3,4,5) - Hyper on (5) feels a little bit awkward as the former note on 00:14:041 (3) - emphasized more on the snare's strength than the electric guitar's pitch. As the electric guitar's pitch difference can be heard between these 2 sets of notes, I would instead emphasize the snares here and make a hyper on (3) instead of (5).
00:18:420 (4) - Personally I don't find this hyper really justified; while (5) sounds okay to be emphasized with a hyper due to the 'special' nature of that electric guitar's sound, this note on the other hand is just emphasizing on the generic electric guitar's sound, which doesn't differ too much from those other non-hyper movements. I would remove the hyper here and instead use a normal movement, or use a dash if you really want to keep the high movement here.

This is also recurring on 00:35:203 (4,6) -, 00:40:554 (5) - , and etc., so I would recommend you to remove these notes, unless you have a special reason for them(I didn't get a good reason last time :^)). you are probably going to reject this ;w;
Other than that I'm fine with this difficulty; I just want to see those arbitary notes get deleted.

dont put red lines on those cuz ur screwing up the metronome for the rest of the measure's beats

confirming what pishi says that is something called "syncopation" and they do not require a red line at all the only extra red line needed is the change of signature at 00:45:988 - and its reset at 00:49:879 -

Okay, I have some concerns. Most of what I'm concerned about was on Salad and Platter.

Nely's Salad

00:08:042 (4,5) – This is a jump but it's seems a little hard to read because of the emphasis to the left on slider (5). It's not very consistent in my opinion to the clear to read dashes of the previous and following patterns.

Ascembomb's Platter

I do have concerns when it comes to the density of h-dashes in this difficulty but it's overlap that is the biggie for me on this one.
00:01:555 (3,1) - Two problems here. One, This border overlap on slider (1) is extremely obvious to the player and does not flow right for map to be rankable. Overlap like this can confuse the player with the sudden stopping of the fruit catcher and also messes with the flow of the vocal. Two, the h-dash is too much emphasis for what a basic dash could convey and also eliminate the first problem.
00:04:150 (3,1) – Again, border note is really obvious, too much emphasis and the h-dash itself seems overspaced.
00:56:041 (3,1) – I thought h-dashes into anti-flow were not allowed in Platters anymore. The slider may be curved but when playing this appears as anti-flow.
01:05:122 (4,1) – Again, h-dash into anti-flow.
01:25:230 (1,2) - ^ Again.

Sorry for any inconvenience but I believe the quality of Platter could be improved before being ready to rank.

I don't want a basic dash because of the strong emphasis on the vocal (which I've done in all diffs), as well as my finisher for the artificial additional emphasis. Realistically, I could lower the hdash distance by up to 3 grids at maximum before it becomes a pixel dash, so even though it's closer to the border than normal (Though well in the range of rankability and also within the approved guidelines), it doesn't impact gameplay enough for me to warrant a change.
00:04:150 (3,1) – Again, border note is really obvious, too much emphasis and the h-dash itself seems overspaced. Normally I'd say yes because of 00:04:150 (3) - this note being at x:0, but since there's 1/1 spacing and a wait between 00:03:501 (2,3) - , it's 100% fine. Also the distance is only like .30x more than the previous one you pointed out, and not even the biggest hdash I have in the map
00:56:041 (3,1) – I thought h-dashes into anti-flow were not allowed in Platters anymore. The slider may be curved but when playing this appears as anti-flow. The incline and curve is there to keep it's original intent of an antiflow slider, but is soft enough to where I can't call it an anti-flow slider anymore. It would be the same if I made a 1/1 vertical slider and added a circle to the right at 00:56:689 - , just 100% in slider form.
01:05:122 (4,1) – Again, h-dash into anti-flow. This one is kind of an edge case since the incline is a bit more steep, but I also feel it's fine, since the intention is the same as above. It creates a non-antiflow beginning of the slider, while transitioning into a new direction at the end of it, which seems like a good workaround for the new rule.
01:25:230 (1,2) - ^ Again. JBHyperion said the 1/1 was fine so I left it. Not that I think this is anti-flow anyways but yeah.

Hmm, would personally prefer if (1) was moved away from the wall slightly, but it's not a huge flowbreak given the curved nature of the slider. I dislike 00:00:583 (1) more for starting so close to the border for reaction reasons but oh well

The initial vertical segment provides a fair amount of leniency here, and considering the hyper is about as weak as can be, this is just about passable for me. Hi.

Either we requalify this as is or I'm sending it to graveyard. This whole system of DQ'ing is broken and biased. My map is being DQ'd on the last day over something that's 120% subjective and it's completely irrational. When things like this happen, it really frustrates me. I do NOT think DQ'ing maps is a bad thing. I love to map and I want my mapping to be of the highest quality I can make it. However, when my maps get DQ'd on the last day for something as bullshit as the reason it was DQ'd for, it's annoying because I've already explained THOROUGHLY why I don't want to change it, and why it's fine.

Again, thank you all for coming to my thread, and most importantly, thank you for DQ'ing my map over a single subjective pattern that was 100% fine. If you want to say my map is shit, try to find more arguments rather than just one pattern next time we DQ stuff. Thank you! I'll call the appropriate BN's back, and if they don't want to do anything with this set, then so be it.

If you look hard enough, you can often find things that can be improved. Disqualifying over minor subjective issues is why the original QAT system (and QAT Bot) received so much negative attention though.

Honestly, this disqualification was poorly handled. Ascendance already had a well detailed reply to RoseusJaeger's concerns. It would have been far more professional to consider his reasoning, rather than simply giving your own opinions on RJs concerns. It really seems like you disregarded the mapper's reasonings and ideas in this discussion, or at least, failed to acknowledge them.

Complaining that your map got dqed on the last day is so egocentric it's unreal. Believe it or not, QATs, just like others, have real lives. JBH specifically has been busy recently, and so has been unable to check stuff, so it's so rude of you to blame him for not finding the time to check it until now.

Imagine if that pattern was something even worse (Though, in my opinion, the current pattern is really bad flow-wise), and someone used the same response. Like, there are two notes in one place, but it's just one pattern so it's fine! That reasoning is not a reason to not dq a map, and you know it. Plus the fact, the statement before this isn't even true, no one said your map is shit, there's no problem with modders thinking a map could use slight improvements before ranking.

It's responses like these which scare the community from requesting DQs on maps, which is not something we need. We need more community input, not less.

Edit for the last point that I forgot: That ending basically completely contradicts everything else you've said up to this point. "Thank you! I'll call the appropriate BN's back, and if they don't want to do anything with this set, then so be it." is not only a really bad attitude to have in response to your map getting DQed, but also an extremely anti-improvement thing to say. Whilst you previously said "I do NOT think DQ'ing maps is a bad thing. I love to map and I want my mapping to be of the highest quality I can make it.", this statement is basically you saying "I don't want to improve this map, so if I can't get it ranked without making changes to improve it, then so be it". I would mod the whole mapset, but this statement in general just makes me feel like the entire thing is pointless because you're going to find stupid reasons to deny every point, like you did for the DQ.

I think what's bullshit here is that JBH didn't "agree" with anything Jaeger's mod suggested but still went ahead and dq'd it (Except one minor point)
