  1. OD Spread seems weird, make Another OD 8 and Insane OD 7 or 6.5 or something.

  1. 00:06:042 (2) - Why map this echo differently than all the other echos? I mean I like how it plays but it seems out of place.
  2. 00:22:327 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I really like how this fits musically but its the same as the previous and the next two combos. It just seems like weird that you didn't do it 00:23:470 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - here as well.
  3. 00:45:756 (1,2,3) - This back and forth motion seems like a really hard forced pattern. I think changing the location of the 1 or the start of the stream would fix it.
  4. 00:47:756 (6,7,8,9) - Personally I think tightening the curve on the 1/8th slider ends looks and plays a bit more natural.

  5. 00:50:327 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1) - Funnily enough, I think this is underspaced for the intensity of the song. Maybe a 2.0 DS jump would work better here.
  6. 00:53:327 (6,7,1,2,3,1) - How have playtesters fared here? I think making 6,7 into a kickslider and then keeping a similar pattern to 1,2,3,1 would be easier to play but I'm not sure.

  1. 00:05:756 (4,1) - Why this rhythm again? If you do decide to keep it, NC the 4 instead of the 1 as thats what you did on Serendipity.
  2. 00:34:327 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,1) - Not a point but I thought this was copy pasted from Serendipity at first it was so similar.

  6. I don't know if I like the ending burst being essentially the same as the hardest diff. For a map that uses additional rhythms other than the streams maybe you could make an interesting rhythm out of the harder piano hits or something?

  8. People are gonna hate you for these squares. Overall I'd try to nerf a few parts of these to get the SR a bit lower. It seems like one thing is overweighting it but it could just be 210 BPM streams iunno.

  3. Okay well I didn't really notice anything other than stylistic problems which aren't really worth picking over. Its a pretty solid map though I think rhythmically its a bit more complex than most Insanes now a days (which is good IMO).
[Feb's Hyper]
  1. I'm gonna preface this by saying I'm not really a great modder for these kinds of diffs since the "Hard" area can be so blurry. Some people use really consistent DS, some don't, so I'm just going to mention a few things that seem jarringly out of place to me.
  2. 00:32:042 (1,2,3,4) - I'd recommend making the distance between the hitcircles themselves consistent.
  3. 00:36:613 (1,2,3,4) - ^
  4. From 00:37:756 (1) - to 00:56:042 (1) - I think it may be too mapped for a Hard. I'm really not the best for this but parts like 00:42:613 (3,4,5) - seem way too spaced for a hard. Patterns like 00:44:899 (2,3) - may be a bit too confusing to read for newer players. And rhythmic spacing like 00:48:899 (5,1) - may need to be lowered due to the fact that they probably won't be able to make the mental connection that that is a 1/3rd and not a 1/2. Each of these occurs a few times so this is kind of just a general blanketing suggestion to nerf this section slightly.
  5. 01:05:184 (1) - Why this one and none of the others? I think you could have kept going with this and done more repeat sliders and it would have been fine.
  6. 01:35:899 (4,5,1) - The slider path is hidden under the triplet which is typically a huge no-no on sub insanes.
  7. 01:41:756 (1,2,3,4) - Nerf the 3 a tiny bit, maybe so that 1,3 is symmetrical spaced to 2,4.
  8. 01:42:899 (1,2,3,4,1) - This is way too spaced out for a hard IMO.
  9. 01:49:756 (1,1,1,1,1,2,3) - This entire section should be moved a bit closer together.
  10. Overall you did a good job capturing the rhythm of the song with little to work with. I'm not really used to modding non-DS-snapped Hards so forgive me if it seems a little anal.

  1. Someone may tell you to nerf the spacing in the beginning a little bit because noobs can't find notes as easy. Personally I think its 50/50 and up to you.

  2. 00:20:613 (1,2) - the spacing here feels too sudden imo, and. since this is a hyper, no need to make a little big spacing. so, decrease the spacing between 00:20:613 (1) - and 00:21:042 (2) - maybe? make the spacing same with 00:21:042 (2,3) - they have the same visual spacing
  3. 00:29:470 (4) - ctrl+g to help the reading here? they are supposed to be this way.
  4. 00:34:042 (4,1) - could be emphasized more used same spacing as before.
  5. 00:34:756 (2,3) - why the spacing so sudden? i mean, you make the spacing in 00:34:327 (1,2) - small. but this one is a bit bigger, and this part isnt have any strong beat or w/e. consider to decrease it maybe? sure.
  6. 00:39:756 (5) - dont put 1/8 here :( the slow SV makes the slider a bit unreadable i'd suggest you to change the sv at 00:37:756 - to 0,85 so it players wouldnt hurt at reading the 1/8 sliders (00:43:470 (1,2) - things like this applies too)

    Doublecheck your spacing. some parts are a bit weird to play and there's still many objects that still needs an emphasis. u know its not really a bad thing when in a hard not everything is spaced the same. I use less emphaszies on parts since the diff gets to hard for and actual hard otherwise.

I nerfed the 1/8 parts which end on blue ticks now, so they are much easier now, but undermapping this section is just dumb imo. If i could map it again i'd map this section prolly the same again or at least pretty similar. It's abit technical you could say, but the reverse sldier should be alright due to slider leniency being a thing.

Plz combine the default soft-hitnormal to your keysounds for a better hit confirmation. This kinda stuff on streams is painful and easy to throw ppl off with if they miss a note and it goes onto the next key. For reference, see this mania map (it's great and very neat but the full keysounds make it a pain if you can't into rhythm). Not exactly the same scenario but this is what I mean by throwing people off if they miss a beat.

applied first three points - i think they are valid concerns. Fourth point i already have such 1/4 usage earlier 01:36:470 (2) - where the exact same sound occurs, nonetheless i made it a bit better reading wise imo, and i fixed a weird snapping at 01:36:327 - which was snapped to 1/8 for some reason.

Added kick sliders.
Removed unused file.
RSI because 270 stream at 220 bpm for Serendipity. Also lots of streams in Extra too.
AR 6 -> AR 5 on Normal. Don't think I need Easy, in my opinion. 220 bpm makes hard for low SR and Normal already very simple to play.

Added Taiko diffs.

00:54:899 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - this pattern really needs to be changed/remapped like.. man i feel like its gonna be hard to convince you to change it LOL but i can try...

the map begins and ends as a death streamy, not hard to read in any way, sort of map. its not technical or anything, and yea sure even though 1/3rd notes are usually hard to play for speed players (from what i've noticed at least), these just are so unfitting. i think they look VERY nice in the editor and fit the music well, but it doesn't fit the map itself since its so hard to read compared to the rest of the map, nor does it play well, unless you're like rustbell or some pro reader/alternater similar to him(good stream players rarely fall in this category). the few players i've seen try to play it can't play it properly at all, they all mash through it and misaim it completely so yea... i think talala is the only one i've seen who's fc'd it lol (then again i've only seen like 5 people play it)

basically, going from a 1/4th to 1/3 is hard enough, but to put that spacing, the overlaps, the sharp turns, the fact thats its a 1/3rd stream itself, all on top of it... its just not pleasant to play and is very unfitting to the rest of the map :(

Can't say i'd really change those since I had a particular 'finisher' in mind for that section. I did however change an earlier pattern that seemed to be a bit odd (the back and forth 1's and 2's).

00:35:899 (4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - ^ well, the thing is if I map it that way, it's a bit confusing rhythmically since the sliders would be starting on red instead of white. starting slider combos on white ticks are a bit more pleasing than starting them on red ticks. Besides, I've followed them consistently throughout the whole map and it'd suck to really want to change them all for a bit more 'accuracy' (which I don't think is really that much more accurate than what I have tbh).

  1. 00:06:042 (2) - This is inaudible without the addition of whistle or changing the level of the hitsound volume, and since this is the head, I suggest to make it more audible. You can also do what your difficulty Extra has done.
  2. 00:41:899 (1,2) - You could expand the spacing here instead of 00:42:042 (2,3) - as it's pretty much the same as 00:41:327 (3,4) -.
  3. 00:54:470 (10) - Somehow I feel this slider should be moved to 00:54:613 - instead. Both noise on 00:54:042 - and 00:54:613 - are practically the same, so I was thinking a slider should follow the same beat. It just felt right too to be honest.
  4. 01:05:899 (4,5) - I highly recommend you remove the circle out of the slider's end stack. Because the slider here is short, the circle covers most of it, rendering the slider's readability difficult.
  5. 01:19:470 (9,9) - After hearing the section 01:14:327 until 01:16:613 -, the whistle on the objects mentioned doesn't sound very fitting, as both sections of streams have a very similar melody, or maybe they are indifferent, so they felt out of blue.
  6. 01:21:184 (1,2,3,4) - The beats on these objects are going pitched up (if I'm not deaf), so it kind of looks weird to see the kicksliders going down. The same is true to 01:21:756 (1,2,3,4) -, where the beats sound as if they are pitched down. Basically here, the first set of kicksliders should go up, and the second set should go down. This visually look logic with the music in my opinion.
  7. 02:02:899 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Maybe reduce the spacing of this stream to make the next section 02:03:470 - stand out a bit more, since you can hear the crash? Nothing pretty much is changed during the whole stream.

  1. 01:13:184 (1) - lol this is almost repeated as in Serendipity.
  2. 01:19:470 (9,5) - Same thing about the hitsound in the section above.

I would keep the kicksliders in the section 01:53:184 -, where they really emphasize the cymbal beats as they hit much close later on. Whereas 01:52:327 (5,6) - 01:52:899 (5,6) -, the sliders (6) are not doing much to the music in my opinion.
  5. 01:55:470 (1,2,3,4,5) - The jumps are big here, compared to the other similar rhythm, and it's the only pattern with this kind of rhythm that has a spacing 5.10x in-between the jumps. It's also a little less easy to play with this kind of jumps. So, I suggest you reduce the jumps at somewhere around 3.0x ~ 3.5x, based on your other patterns.
  6. 02:14:899 until 02:18:899 - Streaming a full 4 seconds of full circle in 210 BPM is pretty intense for Extra I think. Maybe you could break the stream by adding repeat sliders, as you did in the difficulty Another.

  1. 00:50:327 (1,2,3,4,5) - You're going a bit too far with this pattern. Since this is a 1/3 rhythm for this pattern, the spacing can be a surprise, and it looks too much for 1/3 rhythms, unlike your two other hardest difficulties where the path is pretty clear. It's also hard to play from my experience. I recommend you lower the spacing.
  2. 00:54:899 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Same thing as above, but I feel you're going overboard for this pattern, as you have jumps that goes over 3.50x.
  3. 01:21:184 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Same thing as in Extra above.
  4. 01:41:756 (1) - This is not an obligation, but the slider's end is touching the HP bar :^).
  5. 01:16:613 (1,2,3,4,5) - 01:17:756 (1,2,3,4,5) - and many more - I have doubts for this kind of patterns, as you put a jump for sliders with 1/4 rhythm, which was uncommon for me. Especially 01:25:756 (1,2,3,4,5) -. So I decided to search for opinions, and here's one.

I don't really see them as 1/4, and the flow is not that great due to the space in-between the sliders, so it was pretty hard to pass those sliders, and I think they are too hard for Insane. The spread between Normal and Hyper doesn't look safe. In Hyper there are usage of 1/4 repeat sliders, even consecutive in 1/4 rhythms, usage of 1/3 rhythms, little jumps, and some kicksliders. While in Normal there's mainly 1/1 sliders with also 1/2 rhythms. Although you can't do much with 1/4 rhythms in easier difficulties and with a high BPM music, this feels a bit like Easy. Therefore I recommend you add a difficulty in-between to balance the spread (to be safe too).

  5. 01:19:470 (9,9) - After hearing the section 01:14:327 until 01:16:613 -, the whistle on the objects mentioned doesn't sound very fitting, as both sections of streams have a very similar melody, or maybe they are indifferent, so they felt out of blue. I hear louder synths here tho? without the whistles it feels awkwardly empty and too many whistles is overdoing it imo. 1/6/17 whistle felt like a decent balance to me just so that the song feels like it's still progressing rhythmically and difficulty wise.
  6. 01:21:184 (1,2,3,4) - The beats on these objects are going pitched up (if I'm not deaf), so it kind of looks weird to see the kicksliders going down. The same is true to 01:21:756 (1,2,3,4) -, where the beats sound as if they are pitched down. Basically here, the first set of kicksliders should go up, and the second set should go down. This visually look logic with the music in my opinion. If I had thought of this as I made it, I'd say it would be a good idea to follow your suggestion. I've learned since this map and have implemented that idea in later maps but rhythmically this part is split in two halves so I have two patterns of kicks sliders. and that's as close to a compromise as I'll get here without having the need to remap everything prior or later lol.
  7. 02:02:899 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Maybe reduce the spacing of this stream to make the next section 02:03:470 - stand out a bit more, since you can hear the crash? Nothing pretty much is changed during the whole stream. as i made this, the idea was 'this entire kiai is a stream, let it all be a stream' without much regards to splitting the kiai in half. I agree with your suggestion but instead of low ds I'd change to maybe kick sliders to increase display emphasis on the second half of the kiai but then that'd conflict with my idea of keeping it all to streams.

  1. 01:13:184 (1) - lol this is almost repeated as in Serendipity. I said the same to myself lol. but it's different!! xd
  2. 01:19:470 (9,5) - Same thing about the hitsound in the section above. same above
  3. 01:21:184 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Instead of repeating the same pattern twice, why not make a pattern different from the other? Both sections (01:21:184 (1,2,3,4) - and 01:21:756 (1,2,3,4) - ) do not sound the same. The first is played in a high key, and seemly to continue the scale up. The second is played lower than the first section, while it sounds that the scale is going down here. Repeating the same pattern for two different consecutive sections doesn't fit the logic to the music. tbh I think your suggestion is solid, however, doesn't make with my design really. flow-wise afterwards with your change i'd have to move later combos too much and they wouldnt work well with how my style for this. I also think that, with no offense to you, that you may be thinking a bit too much for this lol. The way I hear it is that the measure is split in half so I have two halves (two 4 circle combos) and I repeat them even though maybe it'd be a much stronger decision to follow your idea. But it's something for me to consider in future projects.
  4. 01:52:327 (5) - 01:52:899 (5) - I was thinking of keeping the repeat slider pattern 01:50:327 (9,10) - and 01:51:470 (9,10) -. Having two kicksliders doesn't seem quite well in this section. I would keep the kicksliders in the section 01:53:184 -, where they really emphasize the cymbal beats as they hit much close later on. Whereas 01:52:327 (5,6) - 01:52:899 (5,6) -, the sliders (6) are not doing much to the music in my opinion. I'll respectfully disagree with this because my idea is to INCREASE that buildup so it gradually gets more intense and builds to those kick sliders. repeat slider -> double kick slider -> four jumpy kicks is good buildup and finish. With your repeat slider idea, it might be okay too, but it doesn't give that STRONG finish I want for this section.
  5. 01:55:470 (1,2,3,4,5) - The jumps are big here, compared to the other similar rhythm, and it's the only pattern with this kind of rhythm that has a spacing 5.10x in-between the jumps. It's also a little less easy to play with this kind of jumps. So, I suggest you reduce the jumps at somewhere around 3.0x ~ 3.5x, based on your other patterns. stronger synth here than the former combo. I think it's quite fair to play when you account for slider leniency which is really why it's spaced this way. kiai time too. idk, doesn't feel problematic.
  6. 02:14:899 until 02:18:899 - Streaming a full 4 seconds of full circle in 210 BPM is pretty intense for Extra I think. Maybe you could break the stream by adding repeat sliders, as you did in the difficulty Another. this diff is really like, the original hardest diff in which case I had this idea and I think it's pretty good for hardest diff. Serendipity is like Extra Hardest diff if that makes sense lol so that it mostly composes itself for streams as the song is mostly in 1/4. This idea carries over to Serendipity, not the other way around. I like this more than using sliders mm

  1. 00:50:327 (1,2,3,4,5) - You're going a bit too far with this pattern. Since this is a 1/3 rhythm for this pattern, the spacing can be a surprise, and it looks too much for 1/3 rhythms, unlike your two other hardest difficulties where the path is pretty clear. It's also hard to play from my experience. I recommend you lower the spacing. You're right, I changed to two repeating sliders for this.
  2. 00:54:899 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Same thing as above, but I feel you're going overboard for this pattern, as you have jumps that goes over 3.50x. I agree too, I also changed to repeating sliders and different pattern.
  3. 01:21:184 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Same thing as in Extra above. Well, my idea was to make as squares really lol. Just style thing I guess. If it's something I noticed about this, its that the 2nd square needed (2,3) to be ctrl-g'd so there's that improvement I guess.
  4. 01:41:756 (1) - This is not an obligation, but the slider's end is touching the HP bar :^). that's something people care too much about that im just like eh, I map to music and design. xp
  5. 01:16:613 (1,2,3,4,5) - 01:17:756 (1,2,3,4,5) - and many more - I have doubts for this kind of patterns, as you put a jump for sliders with 1/4 rhythm, which was uncommon for me. Especially 01:25:756 (1,2,3,4,5) -. So I decided to search for opinions, and here's one.
TIL this is a thing. Pretty cool forum. So let me see how to answer this: First are foremost, the synth spacing reason is for conditioning. I have weaker 1/4 spacing 01:15:470 (1,2) - because well, the music felt weaker there. And the synth stands out pretty harsh in the 1/4 area which is why I space 1/4 that way in the next combo. And it repeats in future parts so that's why I imitate that ONLY for the 1/4 synth parts. It's something small and subtle that I tried to keep consistent. Once the players reads 01:25:756 (1,2) - they know the following will be 1/4 since it's been introduced once beforehand already. As to whether or not its structure is good/bad is a different taste for everyone. Lastly for this 01:56:613 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6) - I had long space and short space 1/4's just for a design thing since repeating similar designs would be rather boring and the rhythm is identical enough to not confuse the player to think this should play otherwise. Also, thank you to Sonny for checking this~ In regards to how it is in Insane is for similar reasons although, not to the extreme that I show in Extra (as I believe that difficulties should introduce things early and be gradually getting harder in later diffs).

  1. 00:20:613 (1,2,3,4) - This is also going over the top. I don't really see them as 1/4, and the flow is not that great due to the space in-between the sliders, so it was pretty hard to pass those sliders, and I think they are too hard for Insane. I guess what you can do is to bring more close, like this: Idk about "over the top". It might be a bit more difficult (just a tiny bit) but the spacing is less than how I show 1/2 spacing. I map it like this just to give a bit more movement before heading into the stream by utilizing slider-leniency.
  2. 01:56:613 (1,2,3,4,5) - 01:57:756 (1,2,3,4,5) - Like in Extra, but they may be too hard for Insane?
The spacing is pretty fair here since slider-leniency helps the player hit the sliders in 1/4. I try to condition rhythmically in this way so that future parts aren't confusing. To me, it also helps ease the idea for the future diffs.

The spread between Normal and Hyper doesn't look safe. In Hyper there are usage of 1/4 repeat sliders, even consecutive in 1/4 rhythms, usage of 1/3 rhythms, little jumps, and some kicksliders. While in Normal there's mainly 1/1 sliders with also 1/2 rhythms. Although you can't do much with 1/4 rhythms in easier difficulties and with a high BPM music, this feels a bit like Easy. Therefore I recommend you add a difficulty in-between to balance the spread (to be safe too). The only reason I'll avoid adding a diff between Normal and Hyper is because not much can be introduced to show a different gameplay element that Hyper already does on its own (such as those 1/4 repeat sliders). I would've preferred to do that in Normal (i honestly tried to make it easy yet complimentary to the music but it ended up being around 2.2-2.4 or something) but RC rule has to be below 2* and even with so much limitation on myself for normal that it'd play like an easy yet still be approaching 2* is due to density with bpm yeh. it's hard with high bpm lol but I think the two diffs are okay next to each other. The song is heavy on 1/4s and various rhythms, Hyper introduces gameplay mechanics fitting to the spread imo.

Once you have (or may not) added a difficulty, gather some mods before a recheck from me.
(sorry mostly denials but hopefully my reasonings make sense as to why I chose to do things how I did. ><)

  2. 02:11:470 (1,2) - I would like to know why this pattern is like this. To be honest the overlap is not good-looking, plus you have 02:02:327 (1,2,3) - stacked when it's this kind of rhythm, so why not follow this pattern.
