I just read over Lokamp's "Medley Series" post. A slight correction, but not quite.
The main reason why the Namco medley is called "Namcot medley" is because "Namcot" is referred as to "Namco mascots", which, according to the songs, are basically outlined there with the many 8-bit games. Again this is what I'm assuming, and I can't really explain it well, so I don't think I'm really THAT correct.
Mojipittan medley was also 8-star on the first DS. Might want to add that in too.
@ Zekira: Arcade experience is good, but it kind of disables certain "drumming tricks" that can only be done on button play. The most notable is drumroll abuse (although that might just be me), and certain long strings of notes.
Still, if we're going for effectiveness, I'm going to say owata is the best for that purpose.
