Seeing top mappers it's no wonder recent mapping lacks diversity and beauty.

I'm not sure who this is directed to, but it's neither appropriate or necessary. This thread exists for statistical and informational purposes only. If you want to air your grievances on a particular mapper or the perceived poor state of CtB mapping in general, I ask you to do so elsewhere so that this thread can remain clean.

ZHSteven makes a good point regarding non-searchable CtB entries. Does this community have anyone with access to all ranked/approved maps?

Can not guarantee that it contains every ranked CtB map given the aforementioned "bug", but this is probably the closest we have at the moment: t/330552

Xinely don't have any special comment to her maps but I found some which could be added:

1. Senritsu & Xinely - Nagi-nagi- she mapped and rank her own song
2. Team "Hanayamata" - Yorokobi Synchronicity this was the first map which was unranked after passing the qualified section

more to come

Hmm, I disagree with both of these, 1 because of the fact multiple people could do this (Of course, Xinely's was good, and most people couldn't make it as good as hers, but it's still possible), and 2 because that's not really an achievement.

However, one which would be a nice addition which you could add for Xinely is the afformentioned Team "Hanayamata" - Yorokobi Synchronicity being the longest total drain time among all diffs in a ctb map.

[list][*]Easiest ranked CtB difficulty by Star Rating - UNDEAD CORPORATION - Setsugetsu Ouka no Kuni {Cup, 0.94*}
This is incorrect now, the cup for this is 0.87*.

Edit: Whoops didn't realise this was a doublepost.

Bumping with a cheeky doublepost just to mention a few interesting stats I uncovered in the recent update.

  1. As of the most recent update, guineaQ has become the 92nd person to achieve a ranked CtB difficulty. At the initial outset of this project, there were 76 people with at least one ranked CtB difficulty.
  2. Since the start of the project, there have been 133 CtB difficulties that reached ranked status. This makes up an incredible 26.8% of the 496 CtB difficulties that have reached ranked status in total since April 2012.
  3. The most prolific mapper since the start of the project was - Magic Bomb -, with 22 CtB difficulties achieving ranked status.
Who will rank the 500th CtB difficulty? (:

Well 1/6 of the maps ranked in the last 5 months were made by you, so you might get another 3 sets ranked before anyone else gets a turn (^:

First update has gone up - will definitely have to split this cycle into parts or it'll just get unreadable lol.

Collab diffs count equally for all people involved as [1] - so if three people collab a diff, one of which is the owner of the set, the owner gets +1 ranked set and the other two get +1 GD. It made more sense to me than having people with fractions of diffs which could get confusing later on.

On another note, updating now.

Some quirky trivia facts:

  1. There are now 105 people with a ranked CtB difficulty.
  2. There are now over 250 ranked maps containing CtB diffs. A year ago there were only 150.
  3. MBomb and CLSW are tied for most sets ranked (14) and oddly enough, also on # of GDs ranked (14).
Great work people! Feel free to add your own interesting observations if you have them! (:

May be best to clear up whether you're counting loved maps or not, and why/why not. Not gonna share my opinion of whether they should or not (I'm sure you can guess anyway), but yeah, just best to put that somewhere, possibly in main post.
BoberOfDarkness
For me loved maps shouldn't be placed here since most of maps there are actually without spread or they are single difficulties..
Anyways it feels like qualified category since mapset owner might delete it on its own request.

I did a quick survey of people yesterday and the general consensus was that Loved maps shouldn't be included here (at least for now). This might change in the future depending on how the system develops, i.e. how maps actually make it to Loved status, but for the time being with large potential for maps to be moving in and out of Loved regularly, it would be a pain to keep track of the rankings.
