That's sensible, but we can agree that the minimum wage should be a livable wage, no? Of course, minimum wage shouldn't be able to afford luxuries but I believe it should be enough to sustain food, rent and bills.Dulcet wrote:
I actually like Bernie's idea of taxing purchased shares because it would create enough revenue for the policies he has promised for such as free education and government provided health care (which I don't think even matter now, since his chances of winning are dim). However, his federal 15$ minimum wage idea was completely bonkers and I'm happy he stopped bringing it up because minimum wage should be calculated per city's population and revenue.
Trump is definitely my plan B because he actually happens to have a sensible tax plan whereas Cruz wants it to be a fixed rate even though he loves talking for the true Can-- American blue collar people, the kind of people who need a tax reform the most (Cruz is not even American so I don't even know why the fuck he's still running). At the same time though, Trump's tax plan kind of goes out of the window if you consider the cost of the infamous wall (Mexico is not going to pay for it, it's just another stupid bait like the $15 dollar minimum wage), let alone the cost of checking literally every illegal immigrant's background and then letting them back in once they're "clear" or whatever. I want the immigration system to be tightened as much as the next guy, but I would also like a plan that won't cost the taxpayers another stack of billions. It would be amazing if that money, instead, could be used to create a universal care system like any other civilized country. For fuck's sake if Moldova can do it with the amount of money they have, then so can we.Cruz is the epitome of modern fundamentalist evangelical, and no one takes him seriously because everything out of his mouth came from a 1700 year old book.
And for all the fear mongering, I believe that if you're a legal, law-abiding immigrant, you shouldn't be afraid of Trump. Simple as that, really.I don't think the issue is with immigration, but rather that Trump is alienating people related to immigrants. My parents are Asian immigrants and they feel the same.
Also if you have a vagina for the love of god please don't vote for Clinton just because she also happens to have one.Hillary don't care about no women.
People need to realize that Bill Clinton won't come back or be involved at all if Hillary is elected. Most of her voters have voted for Clinton during his campaign and they're expecting her to be like her husband (though he clearly stated he doesn't wish to be married to her and who the fuck can blame him). People are so fucking dumb. Bill is gone. Bill is fucking gone (cries).+1. Bill, as the First Man, would be pacing the White House waiting for the end of the 4 year term just to get out.
"Live-able" paychecks differ from each state. For example, if you like in Missisisppi where the state minimum wage is $7.25 it's because things and rent are REALLY cheap. If all the sudden it gets raised to $15, not only will it dramatically raise cost of living, but there just won't be enough money to FEDERALLY pay $15 dollars an hour per each individual. It's just too much money, and that's why I believe minimum wage should really depend on how affordable it is to live in your location. I believe people should have enough money for shelter and food, but I don't believe that our citizens should just rely the minimum wage alone.repr1se wrote:

Hillary is clearly holding him hostage for political fame. Every time he looks at the camera I try to count the amount of eye blinks just to see if there's a pattern and a code behind itrepr1se wrote:

No, biased information is worse than no information. You don't see me linking stuff from Stormfront, do you? Link to objective facts, not sites that will try to manipulate information to suit their agenda. Like the information that I already debunked.repr1se wrote:

A liberal news site is better than nothing at all.
Immigrants are problematic because they vote left, and you vote right. You missed the point. If your favoured political system one where one side can just import voters, then that probably isn't a very good system.
Just going to leave it at that.
The thing with liberalism is that it assumes the government will use people's money solely for the good of the community. That doesn't happen.ftfy
Kansas had a governor that believed this theory, so much so that he cut taxes immensely. He said it would create jobs among other things. Not giving the government money doesn't work, as the data show. The Kansas City Star, a newspaper in that very state, agrees. Link: http://www.kansascity.com/opinion/opn-c ... 54187.htmlCutting taxes is not the same as creating an anarcho-capitilistic society. You don't leave the traditional medium of funding all of the public services in place and then just not use it, things don't work like that.
Image for the important bit:
Not having a government means there's no one to protect the rights of anyone. If there were to be a private police force, the one that owns it can say "Hey, I don't like my neighbors, so when they dial the emergency number ignore them." If they paid for private firefighters, the person/group that owns it can say "I don't like you, so the FD won't come when you need help." That's why, even though a public service is ineffective, is still more effective than a private service. No they wouldn't. If a security provider refused to issue services, their reputation would suffer greatly and people would switch to their rivals. Private companies have every incentive to offer the best services possible. Public government services don't, because they have no competition.
Yes, the government is prone to corruption, but simultaneously big money is prone to corruption. The only difference between the two is that the government, once found, is held accountable while big money isn't.How is the government accountable to corruption while businesses aren't? The American political system is blatantly corrupt. What can you do about it?

The goal of a debate isn't to "win" in terms of having your opponent to not say anything, the goal of a debate is to turn neutrals to your side m8

This is why I dislike cats. It should be legal to kill freeroaming/feral cats that do not have a tag, and the owners of the tagged cats that are off of their property should be fined.AutoMedic wrote:
Oh, this is interesting
To be honest, I never really liked the american government due to its bullshit that it's spewing in the past few years. Personally, I think I can compare it to cats are often valued by humans for companionship and for their ability to hunt vermin. There are more than 70 cat breeds; different associations proclaim different numbers according to their standards.
Cats are similar in anatomy to the other felids, with a strong, flexible body, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killing small prey. Cat senses fit a crepuscular and predatory ecological niche. Cats can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small animals. They can see in near darkness. Like most other mammals, cats have poorer color vision and a better sense of smell than humans. Cats, despite being solitary hunters, are a social species and cat communication includes the use of a variety of vocalizations (mewing, purring, trilling, hissing, growling, and grunting), as well as cat pheromones and types of cat-specific body language.
Cats have a high breeding rate. Under controlled breeding, they can be bred and shown as registered pedigree pets, a hobby known as cat fancy. Failure to control the breeding of pet cats by neutering and the abandonment of former household pets has resulted in large numbers of feral cats worldwide, requiring population control. This has contributed, along with habitat destruction and other factors, to the extinction of many bird species. Cats have been known to extirpate a bird species within specific regions and may have contributed to the extinction of isolated island populations. Cats are thought to be primarily, though not solely, responsible for the extinction of 33 species of birds, and the presence of feral and free ranging cats makes some locations unsuitable for attempted species reintroduction in otherwise suitable locations.
