Actually it's possible and it should be able to capture additional scores, but it will take longer to process. Currently it takes a long time to go through all the thousands of beatmaps and this will double to quadruple this time with some duplicate reaults. It will be kert's calling to decide whether to do this

recently I changed my username via account support, and its also on osu.ppy.sh. But the problem is,that it isn't that way on the website. I still need to use 0Nothing0 instead of N0thing, if I type N0thing, then the american guy appears. However it still regnoices changes like my PB.

I wanted to donate, but I completely have no idea what I am asked for. There's just one option,"PayPal", after clicking which I am redirected to the page that is completely in Russian.


No option to change language or language/region detecting, completely no any other option to donate. You either [don't] give your credit informations (or whatever it's called in English) to the page in language you don't know and don't understand a single word you are asked or resign from donating. I could probably use dictionary or google translator to try guessing what I am asked for, but I take special precaution when giving my money anywhere. Especially if I was to give them either without reading terms or when I need to give my personal data somewhere blindly, without understanding a single word, even more as I never used PayPal before.

But I used other payment options in internet, like credit card, and never had problems like that. I always could pay in English / my own language, so I never really gave it a thought. Why only Russian language people can donate? Is there some kind of technical problem, preventing other people from donating? Or it would require some additional work or formalities?

Simply put, the further the notes and the faster you need to hit them, the bigger is the agility.

I'm having a strange problem. My top100 plays don't appear to be updating but whenever I get a new topPP it updates. Recently I got 2 FL plays on 3 star maps (one was HRHDFL) that were both leader boards and they have not updated in memory, but I got several HR plays in my topPP recently and they all show up. Any ideas why?

If you read the thread you would know that top100 updates once a week(sunday) and your topplays update up to twice per day on request(or smth similar).

I think the idea interesting, but what are numbers? Numbers always needs something to compare with - So the question is simply: Is a stamina value of 304 is a good one? I know my stamina is bad, but i miss simething to compare with or to say "There is a goal i can work on"

If it's worth no memory-points, yes. Based on the fact that this map uses 0.7SV and 1.0 DS at 184bpm there's probably no memory involved in FCing with HDDTHRFL

Ah, I see. What a pity. Although I can assure you that there was definitely some memorization on my part, it wasn't all sightreading.

Just because you did memorize parts doesn't mean that memorization is necessary to SS the map with the mods used.
I just checked the map and it is absolutely SS-able on sightread, nothing you have to memorize if you have good reading on AR7.25 with HD.
(FC'd with HDHRFL second try and DT doesn't influence readability on FL)

That rating literally invalidates any other accuracy-rating as accuracy doesn't seem to scale with OD only but also with star difficulty in some way while disregarding the achieved accuracy which is entirely wrong.

The algorithm just flipped over for a way too low accuracy haha

I think algorithm for tenacity / stamina is wrong. Just looked up Cookiezi's stats, and scores like image material, time freeze, both four dimension plays - all of them extremely heavy on streaming / stamina, and all of them are much lower than some other random plays in their respective stats.

Today we release player title badges!

Title is a short summary of your best skills.
You can have up to 3 titles so far. First one is defined by your Stamina, Tenacity, Agility, Accuracy skills.
Second one is defined by Precision, Memory, Reading.
Third title is a special one

Example:
If you're good at Stamina and Tenacity you get >title name1< here. If you're good at Tenacity only you get >another title name< here.
There is a total of 27 titles currently.

We'll probably make an infographic at some point later to better explain what is this concept about.

Super silly accuracy calculation bug was also fixed.

What happened to the Accuracy ranking? I was top500 like a few hours ago, now I'm at #75. I don't think I'm that accurate.

The fix for accuracy rating probably requires all scores to be recalculated.
thelewa doesn't show up in the ranking right now even though he has 789 acc-points.
Also every acc-ranking where Bikko isn't #1 must be flawed xd

Swift is for players who are best at Agility (in comparison with their other skills)
Berserk is for those who are good at Stamina, Agililty, Tenacity BUT not Accuracy

it calculate od of songs that you play, not overall accuracy that you have
you can farm accuracy at od0 map and have 100% overall accuracy, but it doesn't mean, that you good at acc

Why is Halozy - Little Summer Party (Takos) [Lunatic] +DT (93.6%) so low on this list? This is a very hard map to actually tap at certain points - I still fail it even though I have an fc. The top 5 in this category are all stream maps. Uroboros is hard to tap, I'll give it that. But Sayonara superstar, faith for transient people, stop, and especially kimi no hitomi are complete jokes in regards to tapping. At least comparing them to Little Summer Party.

If you go to the tenacity page, Summer Party is actually much higher in placement which doesn't seem to fit in with the "stream stamina". It especially pales in comparison to maps like Voice and second darkside.

Am I missing something? Do I have these definitions wrong?

Here is what I came up with. The "x" symbol represents unknown titles that exist for sure. Where "x" stands i think it's very unlikely to see a player with that title, because stamina and tenacity are very similar, it's almost impossible to find someone who has a lot of stamina but no tenacity & vice versa. The total number of titles + possible titles in this list is 25, so I am missing 2. The ones which are in italic and have a "?" are a bit questionable, probably not what they represent(correct me plz). Can't think of anything else =/

Something bugs me though. There are people, who are "Versatile Pirate". If I go by your table, that must mean that they are balanced players, who excel in memory and precision. Now, I don't have a problem with your definition of "versatile", but I think "pirate" must mean something else.

I think versatile is based on just having a certain number of stats near in value because my precision, accuracy, and memory aren't nearly up there to be considered equal.

I don't think Memory is taken into account for "Versatile". I've seen people with 0 Memory who have that title.

The wrong one just has to be frantic! I couldn't find the one guy who had it and I just slapped it on a random combination that was left unused. Also I am wondering if there are existing players with the missing titles, they have to be extremely rare. For information, of all the players that I checked, only 1 had the title frantic.

As for the the versatile pirate thing. First title is calculated based on stamina/tenacity/accuracy/agility, second title on the rest and they have no connection between and that's why you can have both. Of course there is a third title, but that's extremely exclusive haha.

Just noticed that Taiwan is called as a province of China here, this really is something we don't like tbh

Taiwan hasn't officially drclared Independence from china as they are really just a rebelling province of the prc.

Hello, is it possible to have an ETA for when the title infographic will come out? Even though people already did some research and explained them to some extent, it would still be nice to have official info that's 100% real. Even if some of the titles aren't obtainable yet due to reading skills not being released, you could add the ones that are obtainable at the moment.

XD let them work on the reading stuff. The inforgraphic will come out when everything's ready. I know it wouldn't take long to make it, but I think it's more interesting this way, people are researching, excited, and using their app. We all are winning for now. Just imagine how cool it will be when all the information about the titles, the true information, is officially released... It will be awesome to compare what we found out with what is real

Btw, do you think it's possible to add spin skills? They're not much of a value in osu!, i know... but it's still very rewarding when you get to spin at 460+ rpm

I can say that there is no point in general, but I will rather say there is no point in doing it now. First, peppy plans to change how spinners work, second the /api/get_scores command doesn't return spin speed, so there is no way of knowing without replays. I'll leave it to kert or someone else to say why (or why not =.=) spinners skills is useless idea.

Well... About the titles, I've been making some graphs lately from my skills. I made 3 graphs in pentagon style (which was suggested here), and I noticed something it seems nobody else here did.

The first graph is about the skills the way they are shown in the site, for each player, it's also displayed on the rankings. I named it "Classic Measurement".

The second graph is about the top play from each skill. You can see the highest points by clicking on the skill link from the player. I named it "Top Measurement".

The third graph is about the ranking each of your skills were. You can find it if you look on the right page of the global ranking pages (it's in descending order, so it's easy to find). I named it "Rank Measurement".

I noticed a huge difference from the 1st/2nd ones to the 3rd one. And by doing this, I found out that I really excel in accuracy, in relation to other players, and not in agility/tenacity, as the 1st and 2nd graphs suggest. Kert himself said we should compare our skills to other players to know if it's good or not, so I think the titles shouldn't be about the Classic Measurement, but the Rank Measurement. People would get more appropriate titles this way, like... I received Adventurous, which means best in tenacity+agility, but I should have received perceptive, which means best in accuracy (according to Defacer). I've been using the "Rank measurement" most when someone asks me to make them a graph, because I think it's more precise on the players skills.

Oh, and there would also have a bigger diversity on the titles, since now there are very rare and common titles, because agility is like almost always one of the highest skills.

What do you guys think?

This imaginary player would be a totally average player, I took the same rank for every skill. This would be probably considered Berserker or Adventurous, and not (Versatile maybe?) the one which means balanced, which is what this player actually is.

Agility is a bit weird in the upper numbers, I agree with this.
But I personally really don't like this kind of pentagon graphs, I think they are a lot less representative than bars.

I'm not sure if the suggestion has been made yet or not but instead of grouping streaming as one large skill group maybe do stream acc and stream speed or something siimilar because of spaced streams and normal streams being very different skills (imo). Don't take my word for it cause i'm a pretty low rank, just something i thought would be nice, also great job so far hope to see this last a long time as it's very useful

Hm... Pentagon graphs are cooler, but they are not simple to program, I guess... It's not just put the lowest skill as the minimum, you may have noticed, I put the minimum number in the pentagon way lower than my lowest skill. Also, now that you said, I agree with you that bars are more representative, so... they probably should stay there, at least for some time. Only after everything else is made it should be thought again which one is better, even though bars are more likely to stay.

So... are we gonna see changes in the titles according to the rankings in the future? What do you think?

It's a title, search a few pages back and you'll understand, it's still not official but Defacer has taken some of his time to try to find out what titles are there and what they mean, he found a meaning for berserk too, so.. if you find his post, you'll know.
