Hi! Requested from my queue. (Instead of making a GD you also said I could mod your map.)
Well, here goes nothing.

General:
  1. Please enable "Widescreen Support" since you don't have a SB.
  2. I suggest you add a soft-sliderslide to your song folder to get rid of those annoying sounds. Here: http://puu.sh/lV1vz/812f9f7aaf.wav
  3. I think you can lower the volume a bit since it is 100% at the moment! It is too loud imo.
  4. In AiMod, it says there are tag conflicts with DavidEd's diff. Please fix that as soon as possible.

Trick Box's Level 1:
  1. 00:05:319 (2,1) - I think you should stack them instead of overlapping. I would also copy and paste these two sliders: 00:05:704 (3,1) - . It will look better and also neater imo.
  2. 00:15:320 (1,2) - This rhythm will be hard to follow for newbies, since it is the easiest diff. Why not end (1) here: 00:15:896 - (Remember to remove (2)) It will be much easier to follow the rhythm imo and it isn't really a big change so why not?
  3. 00:16:665 (4) - Remove this note and start the spinner here instead.
  4. 00:32:627 (4,5) - I'm not really a fan in these. In general it's maybe aloud but imo it looks rather nazi. Why not blanket them instead?
  5. 00:39:550 (3) - Uhm why is there a clap here when there isn't here: 00:38:012 (2) - and here: 00:41:089 (4) - and here: 00:42:627 (5) - . It sounds really out of place so remove the clap please.
  6. 00:44:935 (1,2) - This looks really ugly and nazi. Just turn (2) into a curved slider then turn him anti-clockwise. Place it here: X: 440 Y: 180.
  7. 00:52:627 (5,6) - Why not turn him into a curved slider? Then you can blanket them!
  8. 00:52:627 (5,1) - I highly suggest you stack them.
  9. 00:55:512 (2,3) - I have a better rhythm you can use instead. Just let (2) start here: 00:55:319 - and ends here: 00:55:704 - then add a note here: 00:56:089 - (I can hear a strong beat) then just move 00:56:281 (3) - here: 00:56:473 - . It improves the flow, and also plays better.
  10. 00:57:627 (5,2) - They aren't stacked properly. Please fix that.
  11. 01:01:089 (3) - I think a slider will fit better since there are a strong beat here: 01:01:473 - (Where you can end your slider!)
  12. 01:04:935 (2,4) - This is a really ugly overlap, please stack them to avoid that.
  13. 01:10:127 (1) - I think you should start the spinner here: 01:10:319 - where the beat is.
  14. 01:13:396 (1,3) - Stack (3) better on (1)'s tail. Then after you've done that, just stack 01:15:319 (3,2) -
  15. 01:26:858 (3,2) - ^ Same as above. Stack.
  16. 01:34:550 (6,1) - Again, I highly suggest you ignore those 1/2 sliders in the easiest diffs! Just lengthen 01:34:550 (6) - till here: 01:34:935 - Then just start the spinner here: 01:35:127 - .
  17. Okay, the diff seems general fine but still needs more mods.

  2. 00:12:435 (5) - Remove the drum beat from this note. It's not heard in the music.
  3. 00:14:935 (1,2,5) - I don't see the reason for such harsh SV changes here. The music only loses a little bit of intensity, but you've lowered the SV too much compared to what the music believes. I recommend putting the SV to something more sensible.
  4. 00:21:665 (3) - Can you remove the drum sampleset from this whole slider? It causes a hitsound inconsistency with the other sliders.
  5. 00:48:685 - Similar thing here. The music only gains a slight bit of intensity, but all of a sudden the SV changes drastically. Please note that these may apply to other difficulties
[Level 4]
  1. I don't think you've hitsounded this difficulty yet. Double check your difficulty please.
  2. 01:07:627 (3,4,5,6,7) - The spacing here conflicts with 01:06:858 (11,12,13) - , as they're both similarly spaced but on different rhythms. I recommend you change up the patterns from this combo so it doesn't suggest that.
  3. 01:29:165 (7,10) - These kicksliders don't need to be here. The instruments follow a very basic 1/2 rhythm here, not 1/4
[Level 3]
  1. 00:11:473 (1) - I hope you realise that you can just have 3 anchors to make a perfectly curved slider. Adding more just makes it look wonky.
  2. 00:12:242 (3) - Speaking of wonky, this slider is awkwardly squished. You should stick to using regular shapes to keep the flow continuous.
  3. 00:14:935 (1) - I don't really know what this spinner is mapped to, since the melody here still plays out where you can maps with circles. There's not a continuing sound here that follows the spinner.
  4. 01:22:627 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - I believe this pattern is too dense for the difficulty it sits at. Too much spamming could potentially wear the player out at this level.

  2. 00:06:281 (6) - Nothing really odd except THE FACT THAT THERE IS SO MUCH ANCHOR POINTS AT THE SLIDER END LOL.
  3. 00:16:089 (3) - I suggest you move this note a little farther away from the slider end because players will become confused that since it's in close proximity, they will assume this note is on the blue tick.
  4. 00:16:281 (4,5) - What happened to mapping to the start of the instrument between these two notes here? This part is rhythmically confusing; move the slider to the previous red tick and fill in the space.
  5. 00:24:935 (3) - Lower this slider slightly diagonally left so the spacing is more even between the previous two sliders. Also pattern suggestion? The flow you had going on is a bit jarring. Leave the 4th slide the same.
  6. 00:29:742 (6) - Move this slightly to the left? So it flows a lot easier for the upcoming triple.
  7. 00:51:665 (1) - This slider is aesthetically displeasing to my eyes xdd
  8. 01:01:089 (4,6) - Have these two be the same slider?

  6. tbh, this map is good in the thoughts of placement. all jumps and their distance almost expressed the music very well. the lack of the map itself is like unpolished structures, which you maybe didn't care that much currently. well, anyway, i think this map is nice to me whatever it seems like a mature one, have a star. thou, pls ask more mods to your map to give some improvement, and watch out what you've got here to be cared in the next mapping work you may put effort in.

  2. 00:07:625 - according to how you mapped the sounds here and according to the music this really needs to be clickable, it feels really weird to have this high melody sound clickable the whole time since it seems to be your main focus and then you put it on a sliderend
  3. 00:09:355 (1,2,3,4) - this doesnt only happen here, but it's a good example. It is very unclear what you try to follow, 00:09:355 (1,2) - say "I want to follow the high melody" with 2 ending on a strong drum and all but then 4 says "well I gues the drums are nice too" 00:09:932 (3) - changing those on the middle of this feels so confusing and makes it hard to focus on what should be tapped (as a player)
  4. 00:14:932 (1,3) - similar here, drum on sldierend, drum clickable,,,,

  15. 01:04:160 (4,5,7,8) - also those are clearly different musical patterns/sounds /4-5 and 7-8) so both stacks shouldnt be on the same spot and they most likely should also not both be stacked they're actually the same note for the trumpet, which is why i stacked them all in the first place
  16. 01:30:313 (1,2,3,4) - easy there hw, lol. if you actually think those fit, then at least make them symmetrical or sth they are symmetrical, like 1,2 and 3,4 are ctrl-h

Big Wall of Text About Pretty Much Everything

Only going to look at the highest difficulty, basically everything I say can be applied to lower difficulties. (I didn't look at the GD's, but David's can't be too bad xd )

Why is there kiai in the beginning? It's the same intensity as the section at 00:54:930 (8) - . I think you should just let the ending have kiai since it's the most intense part of the song.

Your hitsounding is inconsistent and disconnected from the song. It sounds pretty dreadful. There's a bit too much to explain in one mod post, so I'll just direct you to this handy guide where you can read up on the basics.

Your overall rhythm choices are inconsistent, and often unfitting. To give a few examples:
  1. 00:09:548 (2) - This is the only time in the intro you map these beats. Every other time you leave a break.
  2. 00:12:432 (5,6) - In general, the head of the slider should always be placed on a stronger beat than the slider's tail. Here 6's head is basically mapped to nothing, and the tail maps part of the melody line and part of the drum line. This is a very unrewarding rhythm to play, because you aren't really clicking your keys to the song. You do this A LOT throughout the whole map, be careful about this.
  3. 01:18:582 (4,5,1) - You randomly decide to add 1/1 gaps to focus on the offbeat stuff here, but you didn't do that earlier in this part.
  4. 00:31:277 (1) - follows the melody differently than 00:34:354 (5,1) - , but they should obviously be the same because the melody was clearly composed to mimick itself really closely.
In general, think more about what effects you're trying to give off, and what parts of the song you want to focus on. Pay more attention to how you use sliders, there's a big difference in emphasis between a sliderhead and a slidertail. Most of your current slider placements and 1/2 circle jump patterns feel like filler.

Your New Combo job is inconsistent and nonsensical. For example:
  1. 00:18:009 (6) - This should clearly be NC'd since it starts a whole new section in the song. In general you should focus more on keeping your NC's structured around the song's downbeats (big white tick, the start of a measure). This song's melody skips over the downbeat a lot, so breaking that structure is understandable, but that base structure should still be in place.
  2. 00:25:316 (4,5) - There isn't an NC here but this rhythm has always had one up to this point.
  3. 00:39:546 (9,1) - Again, the downbeat should be NC'd here, you even NC'd it at 00:36:469 (1) - .
  4. You NC at 00:56:276 (1) - but not at 00:03:971 (3) - even though they're the same rhythm.
Hopefully you get the idea, it's all very inconsistent. Focus more on building your NC's around the song's rhythm and trying to stick to the downbeats or areas where a "thought" begins, like the melody at 00:03:202 (1) - .

The SV change at 01:30:313 (1) - is really dumb, there hasn't been any change in intensity that would warrant sliders faster than the start of this kiai.

And then there are a lot of spacing issues:
  1. 00:07:432 (4,5,6) - Why is this triangle so much larger than 00:08:202 (1,2,3) - when the latter is louder and higher in pitch?
  2. 00:27:239 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2) - Why are these jumps so much more intense compared to 00:21:278 (2,3,4,1,2) - ? Or rather, it's more like you have the intense jumps placed at different parts of the same rhythm.
  3. 00:47:238 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Much larger spacing than the surrounding section, namely 00:44:546 (2,3,4) - . I don't really see why.
  4. The whole quiet section of your song has jump patterns similar in intensity to jump patterns in your kiai sections.
  5. 00:14:932 (1,2,3,4,5) - Completely different from 01:07:237 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - .
etc etc

There are also a lot of visual/aesthetic issues, but I'm probably the last person to be talking about that.

  1. 00:02:625 (2,3) - This gap is quite confusing due to the DS you have used. Such a short distance for a long gap, you should consider atleast stacking it to improve the readability.
  2. I would really recommend you to map all the drums that the song has, you seemed to skip them to map the other instrument (i don't know the name uuh :p) and it's a bit weird to have drums unmapped in a song like this.
  3. About NC, you should use it on the downbeats (big white ticks) in order to make them consistent, at the moment they're quite consistent, but they're a bit bad positioned imo.
  4. 00:14:932 (1,2) - This kind of gap is really confusing, it does look like a normal 1/2 gap but it's 1/3 one, Maybe a lower spacing to the (2) would make all the difference here. This spacing really mislead to a 1/2 pattern.
  5. For this difficulty these are all the points I have to comment, but apart from this, polishing is really necessary here, the map lacks a lot of quality itself due to overlaps, missleading patterns and bad shaped sliders :/
Level 4

  1. For this difficulty I can say barely the same of "Level 3". Overlaps, bad readability and weird NCing. I'm not saying the difficult itself is bad, it looks ok, the rhythm is more or less good, but you should pay more attention to the feeling of the patterns. And besides, undermapping an Insane is completely awful in my opinion. In this difficulty we can find the same gaps where there are drums but not the other instrument that you're following. Let me explain this better. This other instrument is just a complement to the drums, and the drums are what you really should focus in this kind of song without any vocals.

  3. 00:04:548 (7) - Make it into a 1/2 repeating slider.
  4. 00:13:778 (4) - Move to 00:13:586 and adjust clap.

Final thoughts. This difficulty seems really weird. Its ar7 but almost 4 stars. I think it would be really easy to just drop slider velocity, bring the spacing down between 1.1 and 1.3 and make this a hard map. With it sitting between a 4.2 and a 1.4 it should probably be around 3.2-3.5 star. Once you do this it will require quite a bit of remaping but as it is now it seems like a weird difficulty.

I know very little about easy maps. But everything seems to be timed well. No overlapping. Flows well and everything seems to be distance snapped.

Level 5


This is great. Patterning is lovely, Spaced well. My only concern is that the star rating is very close to level 4. Although that could change since level 4 need to be modded quite a bit.
As a side note I think these part would work better as new combos for ease of readability. 00:57:622 (5) - , 01:00:506 (4) - , 01:03:776 (5) -

Final thoughts. This difficulty seems really weird. Its ar7 but almost 4 stars. I think it would be really easy to just drop slider velocity, bring the spacing down between 1.1 and 1.3 and make this a hard map. With it sitting between a 4.2 and a 1.4 it should probably be around 3.2-3.5 star. Once you do this it will require quite a bit of remaping but as it is now it seems like a weird difficulty.
there will be another diff, but this one's ar will have to be raised as well

I know very little about easy maps. But everything seems to be timed well. No overlapping. Flows well and everything seems to be distance snapped.

Level 5


This is great. Patterning is lovely, Spaced well. My only concern is that the star rating is very close to level 4. Although that could change since level 4 need to be modded quite a bit.
As a side note I think these part would work better as new combos for ease of readability. 00:57:622 (5) - , 01:00:506 (4) - , 01:03:776 (5) -

I'd say overall just tone down the jumps in the start, they dont feel very fun. Also just PLEASEEE fix any sliders that end on blue ticks.

  5. 00:48:007 (3,4,5,6) - another bad flow, try ctrl + g on 00:48:392 (5,6) - since 5 need more emphasized either i think it is not that bad, its a sharp angle from 4 to 5. ctrl g makes it a bit too big of a jump and 5 already has higher spacing, in a slow section no need for a large jump like that imo.
