  1. 00:13:785 (1,2,3) - keeping same spacing might be good http://puu.sh/l1MA9/b43b55677d.jpg
  2. ofc u should blanket this again if u going to fix my mod 00:15:013 (1) -
  3. 00:32:732 (5) - i'd like to NC this kind of stronk-special sounds.
  4. 01:03:521 - a sound on here is stronk but u missed. try this rhythm and put notes again if u want to put emphasis on that 'kira!' sound http://puu.sh/l1MG4/9416cca6f1.jpg
  5. 01:11:153 (1) - dongseon from 4 to 1 is in some way weird imo. try this http://puu.sh/l1MKc/9f78712cb6.jpg or http://puu.sh/l1MLH/4cef77f996.jpg

  2. 00:53:083 (1,1,1,1) - i think gradually increasing SV (about 0.25x) can be good too
  3. and fix some of your blankets. I think your style fits with the strictly-put-blankets.

  1. 00:14:311 (2) - better overlap is here http://puu.sh/l1N1Z/bff3b50f99.jpg
  2. 01:03:521 - sound definitely begins with here. considering the diff is hard, this one can be alternative http://puu.sh/l1N5k/79e76c94be.jpg 고쳤습니다.
  3. 01:13:960 (3) - rather stack here at the end of 01:12:732 (1) - 그건 좀 더 생각을 해봐야겠는데 지금 이게 100% 거리 고정인 하드인지라 조정을 하려면 상당히 많은 것을 뒤바꿔야 하기 때문에...

General Comments:
  1. Song Folder: Your mp3 has a bitrate of 320kbps which is unrankable. Even though the file identifier states that the bitrate is 160kbps, examination of the spectrum indicates that this is not the case. I whipped up a "true" 192kbps version, which you can get HERE
  2. Song Setup: No issues
  3. Metadata: You can add "Oreimo" to tags, as this is how most western audiences shorten the anime's title, as well as the literal(ish) english translation, "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute" and "Kanako Kurusu", the character Tamura Yukari voices in the anime
  4. Timing: No issues
  5. Hitsounds: No issues
  6. AImod: No issues
Difficulty-Specific Comments:

Easy
  1. 00:12:381 (3,1) - The repeat feels a little weird here, since the prominent note is actually 1/2 earlier for the synth, rather than on the white tick as you have it currently. Plus, the prominent downbeat is underemphasised as an unlickable slidertail. You can get around both problems by shortening (3) to a 3/2 repeating slider, and then removing (1) and making a 1/1 slider at 00:13:785
  2. 00:15:188 (3,1) - ^
  3. 01:00:100 (3,1) - The vocal ends on the reverse arrow of (3), so it would be better to remove the repeat and then either add a circle at 01:01:504 or remove 01:01:855 (1) and make a 1/1 slider
  4. 01:11:328 (3,4) - The tail of (3) and the circle (4) are equally prominent, so it seems strange for one to be clickable and not the other. (3) could be shortened to a 1/1 slider and a circle added where (3) currently ends
  5. 01:18:346 (5) - An NC here would be nice, as this combo is a little long for an easiest diff.
  6. 01:19:749 (1) - Arguably the most prominent note in the whole song and you made it a slider end! D: Try removing the repeat and extending this into a 3/1 slider, then adding a circle or 1/1 slider (by removing 01:21:504 (2) -) where the current slider ends. Two circles would be a nice added challenge to finish the kiai here if you didn't use it in the previous suggestions
  7. 01:32:206 (1) - This spinner is really short at only 1.2 seconds long, and is likely to catch out a lot of newer players who will be unable to react to it in time and may even fail to complete it. Especially annoying considering this is the last object in the map! I know it's not ideal, but I'd recommend lengthening the spinner to start at 01:30:978 or simply replacing it with a slider instead.
Normal
  1. 00:53:083 (1) - Not really wrong, but kinda plain for the buildup to a kiai, and it would be nice if 00:55:188 was clickable. Try splitting this into two 3/2 sliders and a circle to provide more of that "buildup" feel leading into the kiai, especially since the pitch increases at 00:54:135
  2. 01:01:504 (1,2,3) - The quick change from stacked 1/2 to spaced 1/2 circles might be too difficult for a player of this level to read and hit accurately without slider accuracy leniency. Since 01:02:556 (4) is a relatively weak beat, t might be better to combine 01:02:206 (3,4) into a 1/1 slider, as this is a pattern you've used throughout the diff that will be familiar to the player
  3. 01:02:907 (5) - Consider removing the repeat and adding a circle instead for the prominent vocal sound
  4. 01:31:855 (2,1) - 1/4 beat spacing between note+spinner isn't really sufficient for a Normal diff, especially at a relatively high BPM like this and when the spinner is so short anyway. I'd replace (2) with a circle on the first red tick, then make the spinner start where (2) currently ends, but this may vary depending on what you did in the previous diff in response to the spinner suggestion there
Hard
  1. 00:33:083 (2,1) - Some potential for confusion here, since up to this point all of your stacks have 1/2 beat spacing, NC'ed or otherwise, but this one uses a 1/1 space. Since (1) is a pretty prominent note, I'd recommend unstacking here for easier readability.
  2. 00:43:258 (1,2,3) - The flow here is a little sharp since the pattern is somewhat "flattened", making the movement between (2,3) a little weird. I'd try making these into a more even triangular shape to improve the flow, something like this: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3904668
  3. 01:06:767 (4,1) - Same as 00:33:083 (2,1)
  4. 01:26:065 (3,4) - Opportunity to create a blanket here without much change in flow or positioning
Other than that, really solid diff, nice work :3

Light Insane
  1. 00:10:978 (1,2) - Symmetry is a tiny bit out here, try moving the tail of (2) to [138,206]
  2. 00:14:311 (2,3,1) - Flow is a little weird here, since you have to zig-zag up and then down again to move into the slider (1). I'd move (3) to the top instead, e.g. [312,20], then move (1) to the right and curve slightly more to maintain the original spacings and the flow into 00:15:539 (2)
  3. 00:16:504 - You haven't used many triples in this diff, whilst there are quite a number in the Insane. Here would be a nice place to add one because of the guitar riff
  4. 00:43:960 (4,5) - Might be nice to rotate this anticlockwise slightly so that the tails of (5) and 00:43:434 (2) stack
  5. 00:53:083 (1,1,1,1) - Since you're not using any crazy patterns or greatly increasing the spacing here, I don't feel these NCs are necessary. It's very similar to the pattern you used in the Hard diff, just with slightly bigger spacing, and you didn't use an NC there
  6. 00:58:697 (1) - Flow on this repeat slider changes quite sharply and plays a bit awkwardly. Since you're returning back the way you came and you have plenty of space to play with, it would be nice to reduce the curve on this for a less sharp movement
  7. 01:28:171 (1,2) - Imperfect symmetry doesn't get past me, tail of (2) to [140,268] please (^:
Insane
  1. 00:17:995 (1,2,3) - Reversing the direction of flow seems kinda weird here to me, something like this plays more naturally: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3904786
  2. 00:26:767 (2,1) - 00:27:644 (8,3) - Might just be me, but it looks like these stacks are a tiny bit out. Small adjustments to the slider bodies should fix this if necessary
  3. 01:02:381 (4) - Not sure why this note has such as large spacing, it has relatively equal prominence with the surrounding notes. Making a star with 01:02:206 (3,4,5,6) and the tail of 01:01:679 (2) might work nicely, but if you just want a quick fix, move (4) down and probably to the left slightly
This is all from me. Hopefully you find this mod helpful, but if you have any questions, feel free to get back to me and I'll do what I can to help.

Good luck! (:

  1. Song Folder: Your mp3 has a bitrate of 320kbps which is unrankable. Even though the file identifier states that the bitrate is 160kbps, examination of the spectrum indicates that this is not the case. I whipped up a "true" 192kbps version, which you can get HERE Thanks!
  2. Song Setup: No issues
  3. Metadata: You can add "Oreimo" to tags, as this is how most western audiences shorten the anime's title, as well as the literal(ish) english translation, "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute" and "Kanako Kurusu", the character Tamura Yukari voices in the anime lol I wonder how I just forgot to add Oreimo lol I even search for maps with that name... xD Very long tags btw

You can get around both problems by shortening (3) to a 3/2 repeating slider, and then removing (1) and making a 1/1 slider at 00:13:785 Yea, fixed.
  2. 00:15:188 (3,1) - ^ ^
  3. 01:00:100 (3,1) - The vocal ends on the reverse arrow of (3), so it would be better to remove the repeat and then either add a circle at 01:01:504 or remove 01:01:855 (1) and make a 1/1 slider Fixed.
  4. 01:11:328 (3,4) - The tail of (3) and the circle (4) are equally prominent, so it seems strange for one to be clickable and not the other. (3) could be shortened to a 1/1 slider and a circle added where (3) currently ends But I don't want to make 3 succesive clicks here, so one of them should be clickable and not the other one. Will consider it afterwards.
  5. 01:18:346 (5) - An NC here would be nice, as this combo is a little long for an easiest diff. NCed 01:16:942 (1) - instead.
  6. 01:19:749 (1) - Arguably the most prominent note in the whole song and you made it a slider end! D: Try removing the repeat and extending this into a 3/1 slider, then adding a circle or 1/1 slider (by removing 01:21:504 (2) -) where the current slider ends. Two circles would be a nice added challenge to finish the kiai here if you didn't use it in the previous suggestions Yup, accepted this one.
  7. 01:32:206 (1) - This spinner is really short at only 1.2 seconds long, and is likely to catch out a lot of newer players who will be unable to react to it in time and may even fail to complete it. Especially annoying considering this is the last object in the map! I know it's not ideal, but I'd recommend lengthening the spinner to start at 01:30:978 or simply replacing it with a slider instead. I want to put at least one spinner anywhere but seems like I have no choice. Moving that slider into earlier place feels too werid, so I just replaced it with a slider. (Now the first player gets a permenant #1 on this xDDDDD)
Normal
  1. 00:53:083 (1) - Not really wrong, but kinda plain for the buildup to a kiai, and it would be nice if 00:55:188 was clickable. Try splitting this into two 3/2 sliders and a circle to provide more of that "buildup" feel leading into the kiai, especially since the pitch increases at 00:54:135 Ok, fixed.
  2. 01:01:504 (1,2,3) - The quick change from stacked 1/2 to spaced 1/2 circles might be too difficult for a player of this level to read and hit accurately without slider accuracy leniency. Since 01:02:556 (4) is a relatively weak beat, t might be better to combine 01:02:206 (3,4) into a 1/1 slider, as this is a pattern you've used throughout the diff that will be familiar to the player Fixed.
  3. 01:02:907 (5) - Consider removing the repeat and adding a circle instead for the prominent vocal sound Fixed.
  4. 01:31:855 (2,1) - 1/4 beat spacing between note+spinner isn't really sufficient for a Normal diff, especially at a relatively high BPM like this and when the spinner is so short anyway. I'd replace (2) with a circle on the first red tick, then make the spinner start where (2) currently ends, but this may vary depending on what you did in the previous diff in response to the spinner suggestion there Fixed.
Hard
  1. 00:33:083 (2,1) - Some potential for confusion here, since up to this point all of your stacks have 1/2 beat spacing, NC'ed or otherwise, but this one uses a 1/1 space. Since (1) is a pretty prominent note, I'd recommend unstacking here for easier readability. I think they should be able to read different stack gaps already. And I think 00:33:434 (1) - is less prominent than 00:33:083 (2) - so having same jumps (actually not even a jump) would be too soft. Instead I turned the flow there, and it works pretty okay for me.
  2. 00:43:258 (1,2,3) - The flow here is a little sharp since the pattern is somewhat "flattened", making the movement between (2,3) a little weird. I'd try making these into a more even triangular shape to improve the flow, something like this: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3904668 Umm I used different pattern here instead.
  3. 01:06:767 (4,1) - Same as 00:33:083 (2,1) Same.
  4. 01:26:065 (3,4) - Opportunity to create a blanket here without much change in flow or positioning Why didn't you point 00:08:872 (3) - this out as well? It's 100% copy&paste and just Ctrl+J xD Fixed both.

  7. 01:28:171 (1,2) - Imperfect symmetry doesn't get past me, tail of (2) to [140,268] please (^: Fixed all here, thanks :D
Insane
  1. 00:17:995 (1,2,3) - Reversing the direction of flow seems kinda weird here to me, something like this plays more naturally: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3904786 It's fine for me, hmm...
  2. 00:26:767 (2,1) - 00:27:644 (8,3) - Might just be me, but it looks like these stacks are a tiny bit out. Small adjustments to the slider bodies should fix this if necessary I know that, and many of those stacks are a little off, because the editor sucks and sometimes make those off-stacks. A weird thing is that sometimes it moves them by itself AFTER I fix them and save and quit. Fixed this one anyway.
  3. 01:02:381 (4) - Not sure why this note has such as large spacing, it has relatively equal prominence with the surrounding notes. Making a star with 01:02:206 (3,4,5,6) and the tail of 01:01:679 (2) might work nicely, but if you just want a quick fix, move (4) down and probably to the left slightly Reduced it a little, but I think this amount of distance gap doesn't matter much when it makes a decent shape.
This is all from me. Hopefully you find this mod helpful, but if you have any questions, feel free to get back to me and I'll do what I can to help.

Good luck! (:
Thanks for your mod! I hope I can call you back for an icon xD

[General]
  • Consider converting your BG into a jpeg file to use less file size

Into tags: "ED" isn't needed since you already have "ending"

[Insane]
  • 00:14:486 (3) - The repeat kinda slows down the whole pattern, so what about a circle stacked on 00:14:311 (2) - instead of the repeat?

00:23:960 (2,3) - Hm... this flow is really slow compared to the rest of your map. What about a Ctrl + G?

00:25:890 (4) - Again, that repeat makes you waste all the good flow on that part where the vocals play around a bit. I have a couple of suggestions here on how to remove the repeat and add a circle: Suggestion 1 Suggestion 2
    (I prefer the second one...)

00:34:662 (5) - Putting circles stacked under the head of a slider is a bit unusual: first, because it isn't so easy to see as if it would be stacked under the tail; second, in this case you put more emphasis on 5 which is a red tick beat and less on the following white tick one.
So, in short, imo you should stack 5 under 3's tail, not head

00:42:732 (4) - Same as for all the other repeat sliders I pointed out till now. Using a circle stacked under 00:42:381 (3) - 's head would feel way better instead of the repeat

00:45:188 (2,3,4) - This pattern is really odd compared to the rest of your patterns: you used to emphasize better your notes till this point...
Imo you should put first the reverse slider and then the circle (like this). As for the pattern, I dunno tbh, since it is a bit cramped there...

01:15:013 (4) - Why this slider is with the curve pointing downwards? .-. Should it be like this?

[Light Insane]
  • 00:43:785 (3,4,5) - Why do you increase spacing here? It's too much imo

01:01:504 (1) - The movement from this note to the next one is a bit hard since the slider starts on a red tick. What about stacking 1 on top of the slider?
Consider also adding a Finish on it

Hm.. nothing else to say here, solid and clean diff

[Hard]
  • 01:03:785 (3) - I'd rather use circles here, otherwise the last beat gets wasted

01:12:732 (1,3) - Is this even readable? I don't think so... Please, move it somewhere else, since it is even unrakable probably

01:21:855 (3) - Imo you should remove the last 2 repeats and add a circle, since you never used so many repeats on a slider before

[Normal]
  • 00:05:363 (1) - Maybe move it to around 360,183 to give it a more curvy feeling with the next slider

[Easy]
  • Nothing relevant here

Ok, that's all from me
Good luck~

  • 00:43:785 (3,4,5) - Why do you increase spacing here? It's too much imo Uhh reduced it a little, but I think it's worth to be emphasized?

01:01:504 (1) - The movement from this note to the next one is a bit hard since the slider starts on a red tick. What about stacking 1 on top of the slider? I think both (1) and (2) has their own impact so I don't want to stack them, also it's a Light 'Insane', so hitting on a red tick shouldn't be that hard imo.
Consider also adding a Finish on it Fixed that on all diffs.

Hm.. nothing else to say here, solid and clean diff

[Hard]
  • 01:03:785 (3) - I'd rather use circles here, otherwise the last beat gets wasted Since this is kind of an 'easy' Hard, having 01:03:434 (2) - already makes it a little hard to read. Putting 2 circles right after it would be too intense and not very worth emphasized compared to the rest of the map.

01:12:732 (1,3) - Is this even readable? I don't think so... Please, move it somewhere else, since it is even unrakable probably I think I was too lazy to fix it lol... sorry about that. Stacked that on the tail of (1) and adjusted the distance again.

01:21:855 (3) - Imo you should remove the last 2 repeats and add a circle, since you never used so many repeats on a slider before The five sounds are all important imo, with the first 4 being equally strong. I kinda want to keep this if it's not very dangerous. But maybe if a BN points that out I may should fix that...

[Normal]
  • 00:05:363 (1) - Maybe move it to around 360,183 to give it a more curvy feeling with the next slider Hmm yeah fixed.

[Easy]
  • Nothing relevant here

Ok, that's all from me
Good luck~
Thanks for your mod~

Hi Doyak!
from in-game request :3/

 General

* Found it a bit of a pity that you just copy-pasted the first 'meru' section to the last part of the song, it's tv-sized already so it was a bit disappointing ._.
* Please replace your BG with this .jpg file instead, clears up quite a bit of file space. http://puu.sh/ltE1p/70e3047105.jpg
* Uhmm not sure, but do you still want to add the video? I mean, if you want to, just do it xd. Not sure if that part at 0:42 is going to pass with that naked body of a 5-year-old girl...

Normal

* 00:43:258 (4) - You sure you don't want to put a finish here?
* 01:11:153 - Actually, the song has changed a bit and most of the cymbals/downbeat is placed on the red tick now, therefore it'd make much more sense to make (3) start here on the red tick instead, because that's where the current downbeat is.

Hard

* 00:16:416 (1) - Well, I understand that you might want to follow the guitar instead, but please don't skip the cymbal here.
* 01:03:609 - Why did you put a slider end here? This particular vocal is clickable in every single difficulty (exception Easy & this one) because it's so loud. I hope you can make this clickable.
* 01:12:732 (1) - Same comment as Light Insane.
* 01:15:188 (3) - 01:31:328 (2) - Optional, but would make the cymbal clickable here too?

Light Insane

* 01:06:241 (3,4,5) - Would move this one a bit closer to (2), currently the spacing between (2,3) and (5,6) are almost equal and it can be a bit confusing with this low AR.
* 01:12:732 (1) - Would prefer shortening the slider and adding a note here. The vocals already ended 1/2 tick earlier and that kick seems to be strong enough for a note. http://puu.sh/ltC1F/520049a768.jpg

Insane

* 01:12:732 (1) - Same comment as Light Insane.

Uhm, I have a bit of a problem finding metadata for this. I've got this so far:

Artist: メルル(CV:田村ゆかり)
Romanized Artist: Meruru(CV:Tamura Yukari)
Title:
Romanized Title: Meteor*Impact

I know that 星くず☆うぃっちメルル is a fictional series within Oreimo itself, but the website and probably the only official source (http://www.oreimo-anime.com/1st/music/index.html) states that this track comes from that. It also doesn't say anything above TV Size, opening or ending at all, only 'theme song'.

I don't recall seeing this in the first season of Oreimo, but it has been while since I watched that and nor can I find anything that links to the first season.

The song does appear in episode 15 of the second season, which is , including that point at the end. It's used as an insert song rather than an opening or an ending tho...

Don't know where that video comes from either, so I'd definitely get a higher-up to have a good look at the metadata.

Mapset itself looks okay I guess, so after you got some reliable metadata confirmation, feel free to call me back.

I know, but the song is really exactly the same... so it would be rather inconsistent to invent a different pattern for each parts... The whole part acts as a unique pattern, so making a 'similar' one is hard as well...
* Please replace your BG with this .jpg file instead, clears up quite a bit of file space. http://puu.sh/ltE1p/70e3047105.jpg idk, but jpg hurts the image quality a bit... but I guess people want that, so yeah.

Hard

* 01:03:609 - Why did you put a slider end here? This particular vocal is clickable in every single difficulty (exception Easy & this one) because it's so loud. I hope you can make this clickable. But I can't... because those previous mods claim that the 'kira' sound starts at 01:03:521 - this blue tick and they suggest to represent it, so unless I make a triple there (which I don't like to put on this diff at all) or a 1/4 slider and a circle, it's imposible to do both.
* 01:12:732 (1) - Same comment as Light Insane. Uhh... I think your suggestion is good, but since that part is clearly more relaxing than kiais, I want to give players a good resting point. 01:13:258 - I don't think this beat is 'necessarily' clickable for this relaxing part.
* 01:15:188 (3) - 01:31:328 (2) - Optional, but would make the cymbal clickable here too? Will keep for 01:15:188 (3) - and changed 01:31:328 (2) - this

So now I'm looking for some people who can find me a reliable metadata source... I asked Lanturn so I hope this would be solved soon :D

I know this is not an official source, but a famous Korean wiki says that it shows up on the first season (but I don't know where I've heard this music actually). Anyway I can only wait for Lanturn now...

Thanks for your mod! I'll call you back for a recheck as soon as I get a metadata source!
Lanturn
Well first off. the Meruru theme song is played throughout the whole series, so using the first series source is the best. The CD this track is from also cites it from the first season. I also believe that it's better to use it based on the show it actually airs in than a fantasy sub-series, but in the end, it really won't matter. The QAT won't be picky about this since both are technically correct.

if you use the romanized source, please use all lower case like the picture shows. otherwise just use the japanese: 俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない

Artist:
RArtist: MERURU (Tamura Yukari) | you can also swap naming order because of http://www.tamurayukari.com/profile.html to Yukari Tamura. Up to you since both forms appear on the site. I also suggest using all caps for MERURU because of http://puu.sh/lumPN.jpg the logo only uses MERURU in all caps.

I will check this tomorrow, it's quite late now and I don't want to do a half-assed job.

Soon (tm) The time is now.

Easy
  1. 00:46:416 (2) - Any chance you could rotate this anticlockwise or curve it to the left a little? It will provide a slightly more even flow from 00:44:662 (1) and also remove any chance that it may overlap with some skinned life bars
Insane
  1. 01:17:469 (4,5) - This spacing seems pretty excessive for the sound you're mapping here, it's similar in intensity to 01:17:469 (4) but has twice the spacing lol. Not sure how exactly you want to fix this since there's a lot of potential to create weird overlaps, but I feel moving (5) to [272,80] and (6) to [172,204] is more like the kind of spacing you'd want here. You may want to rotate/flip/do something else here as well/instead though
These are the only things that I could find, so once this is responded to we can get this qualified. /o/
