To hit 1000 hours you'd have to be playing on VH most of the time or some shit, or lobby whore a lot.
Although DC didn't have Ep 4 so it was a bit slower but 1000 hours still seems a bit of a stretch.

Level 20 SDJZ and Resta mean jack when you're partying with a FO (if you're soloing with a HUnewearl you're doing it wrong, casts are better soloers than HUneys because of traps anyways but I digress)
Attack techs mean jack shit, you're still going to be doing more damage with melee attacks even with the recent buff to nukes and nuking gear.
MST is a stupid stat because it scales horribly with tech damage. TP doesn't matter a great deal since there are Adepts, one of the best units in the game and something most characters should be using if they can.
Claws are fucking awful.
Newman TP recovery is negligible, it's faster and more efficient just to drain some TP with a Vivi or pop a fluid, honestly.

First and foremost, DFP is almost completely useless.
Second, you can get J/Z from S-Ranks. Even with a good S/D the HUcast will still do more damage solo than a HUnewearl. HUcasts/HUcaseals have good saber animations, traps, higher ATP and ATA, and gets bonuses to paralysis and such for being casts. HUcast is the best soloer in terms of hunters, HUnewearl is absolutely horrible.
HUcaseal is second in line, then HUmar and finally HUnewearl. Level 20 techs only help so much >_>
Also, you might want to try HUcast/HUcaseal with S-Rank J-Cutter + Arrest Special + V502, it's amazing. Your HUnewearl can't even paralyze with a 100 hit Red Sword, and will not paralyze even with the same Arrest J-Cutter setup because HUnewearls do not have the cast bonus to paralysis.
tl;dr version: HUnewearls are bad and luke is correct.

You don't need a FO to be around you 24/7. If you think HUnewearls are better just because they have techs and high MST, you're wrong. They're bad. They fail in every single important aspect when compared to the cast hunters. A HUcast has more ATP without Lv30 S than HUnewearl with, and they have other bonuses + good attack animations.

You're talking about them being able to solo, they can but they can't solo nearly as well as the cast hunters. No. The FO is really only there to give you S/D and possibly Anti, you should be able to cover for yourself without a FO around you if you were any good in PSO. Not that it even really takes skill to play PSO in the first place unless you C-Mode or TA. And just for your info, HUnewearl is the worst class in C-Mode, want to guess why?

Not like HUcaseal and HUcast can't survive well, and actually damage and accuracy are more important because everyone will survive if they know what they're doing; PSO isn't hard. HUnewearls are self-sufficient but so is any other class if you know what you are doing. I'm usually the FO in all very high level parties and I'm hardly needed other than S/D J/Z. Good players will be able to take care of themselves using mates, cure units and atomizers. If you really think HUnewearls are so good, you shouldn't be talking about PSO at all, because if you posted this on schthack you would instantly become the server's new laughing stock.

When it comes down to it HUnewerals do not supply any necessary role or a role another class can do better easily.
But PSO isn't hard at all nor does it require a perfect setup so play what you want.

I really don't want to get into more debates here but FOmarls are the ones that have the lowest MST. FOmars are really meant to be the melee forces, with the highest ATP of the Forces. I'd avoid them unless you're really committed to playing one though, they have the absolute worst ATA in the game. It's horrible.

I also heard they lowered the episode 4 drops temporarily, so they could fine suitable ones. So i'm gonna stop my V101/V501 hunt for now.
