Does anyone know of an Anime a bit like Arslan Senki or Kingdom?

I would like the anime to be set in the Medievalish ages ( you know swords, kings, castles etc. )
with a bit of Romance also ( both of the anime's I have mentioned lacked it, but never the less I liked them )
I would preffer if the MC was a Male, and he started with nothing and then grew to become a knight or he
was a king of an country that got taken over and he is on he's way to get it back.

Thank you. ;)
Seiken no Blacksmith
The legend of the legendary heroes
Tears to tiara
Tales of the abyss
Mushibugyo
Druaga no Tou
Seem like the shows you are looking for

Full metal alchemist
Katanagatari
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha
Samurai Champloo
Utawarerumono
Further away but likely contain qualities you are looking for

For a response to a joking request this actually piqued my interest. Definitely going to look into this. Thanks.

On a more serious note, any anime that features real life WWII aircraft participating in dogfights, preferably one with British Hurricanes and Spitfires getting plentiful love and screen time? Closest I found was the Cockpit but that seems to have some axis bias going for it as far as I've seen.

Sell them to me then.
Why should I prioritise watching these shows? What makes them good? Just tossing them out won't convince anyone.

Kuroko no basket has no relation whatsoever to Tonari Kaibutsu-kun, wtf.

Anyways, ignore the double post; I'm bored and feel like gouging my eyes out to something shit. Should I watch the second season of SAO or do I just cut my balls off right now?
Navizel
Castrate. Avoid SAO at all cost unless you want to gouge your eyes.
EneT
But I just said that I want to gouge my eyes out; is it at least bearable?
Green Platinum
SAO isn't that bad, it's just if someone recommends it or says it's a good romance or it's original. A giant red flag.
Raiken-
Alfheim Arc kinda weird.

There are 3 kinds of men in the SAO world. Kirito, Comic Relief and Closeted Rapists.
TouwaErio23

I just finished watching Steins Gate, loved it. I also love Madoka Magica and most animes with a depressing/sad storyline. Any other series that I should watch then cry from?

Most will tell you to try out:
-Angel Beats
-Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai
-Clannad
-Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
The basic stuff everyone should have already seen.
I'll add on:
-Wolf's Rain
-Princess Tutu
-Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
-Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora

Robotics Notes. Play/read the Chaos;Head visual novel if you can.
Depressing/sad storyline hmm.. Welcome to the NHK talks about some serious topics of life, sometimes while being funny and sometimes while being serious. I found Gunslinger Girl sad. Maybe you would like a movie such as Hotarubi no Mori e?

Why the visual novel when I can just watch the anime?
EneT
Chaos;Head is so meh though.

I wish more people came back and said what recommendations they liked. It would help to get some feedback.

It's not like they'd return the favour and give me a recommendation if I asked :/

Need an anime that is similar to Gosick, other than Kamisama no Memochou.

Well, are the relationships between people and the crime drama similar in this anime?
Green Platinum
Watch it and you tell me. It's only 2 episodes.
Faust
You might like Kuuchuu Buranko (Trapeze) as well.

I don't think you'd like them for the same reason as GOSICK though

I don't think so. I've ever watched GOSICK either.

Do you know it is from an anime? Couldn't be from a game or manga?
Do you have a picture?
Can you estimate the age of the series?

I enjoyed watching/reading it

If you haven't watched AKB0048 I suggest you do now, it makes Love Live look like child's play. And it came before Love Live

Too bad the characters behave like teenagers and Isla is a boring heroine.
