I'm not sure about that. But I agree that her character would fit more into that genre.
Hey don't make me say stuff I didn't say. It's not "up there" feels-wise (After Story takes that spot, followed by Little Busters, still haven't watched Ano Hana and... what was it again... Whatever.), but I definitely got "those" feelings up in my chest. I think I did tear up, but I didn't actually cry like I did for Clannad AS, hell no.Green Platinum wrote:
People still need to stop treating it as the saddest thing ever.
I'd give it the same score, but that's purely because I don't believe in perfection, heheh. A friend of mine told me not to talk about the show to anyone except huge anime lovers for "it's one of those rare treasures which make anime what it is". I wish more companies were willing to go that far.Green Platinum wrote:
The series is great I give it ~9/10, shame anime companies don't even try to reach this standard at all.
Not referring to you specifically but the amount of people who were constantly saying "The feels.." and "This series will break my soul" etc got on my nerves.PyaKura wrote:

Not strictly steampunk but these are probably up your alley/what you are looking for:abraker wrote:
Can anyone recommend steampunk anime?
Watched:On My List:
- Howl's Moving Castle
Steamboy
Fullmetal Alchemist
Black Butler (not steampunk, but is Victorian era)
- Last Exile
Wow nice list, though most of them are more dystopian/cyberpunk than steampunk.Green Platinum wrote:

Ghibli stuff like Laputa on my list

If you want something slowly-paced that's also really emotional and well-written, Haibane Renmei or Mushishi. They're less on the comedy side of things but still really charming.
For something similar to what you listed, Non Non Biyori.
already tried everything on your list at one pointGreen Platinum wrote:
Wants stuff like Girlfriend(Kari) but dropped stuff like Aria... I don't think they will like Haibane Renmei Mogsworth, but everyone should atleast attempt Mushishi imo.
Was the mermaid show you dropped Seto no Hanayome because it is so much better than the stuff like Softenni. Although now I am thinking it's Namiuchugiwa no Muromi-san despite that show being hilarious too.
Try out:
Hidamari Sketch
Azumanga Daioh
Bamboo Blade
Bungaku Shoujo (OVAs+ Movie)
Denpa onna to seishun otoko
Maria-sama ga miteru (tho the art can be repulsive to some)
Arakawa under the bridge

Go and watch the shows that influenced the modern landscape of anime today, the ones that stuck around and still get discussed do so for a reason.
Oh nvm I cant read sorryGreen Platinum wrote:
Did you read my post Athrun? 2015 certainly isn't old enough to be influential and neither of those are particularly groundbreaking.

Try not watching anime. Unless you want to search through Jousei titles. The Gambler wrote:
Looking for:
Classic romance anime that isn't a romantic comedy, shoujo chick flick, running gag with a harem anime or a last minute add-on to another genre of anime.
EDIT: Also not some uber-condensed VN or eroge of some sort. Omnibus is also preferable but not required.
Yanderes nearly always make stuff a complete joke. Unless you are in the line of thought that believes Mirai Nikki to be a deep and heartbreaking love story.karlabos wrote:
Also I'm looking for animes which are not comedy or at least no entirely comedy which have yandere characters on it? Preferably main characters.

So something like NANA or Nodame Cantabile then? Those are both Josei titles I've come across.Green Platinum wrote:

I don't even think a non-VN/Eroge omnibus anime even exists. Those are always super condensed too.

I would like the anime to be set in the Medievalish ages ( you know swords, kings, castles etc. )
with a bit of Romance also ( both of the anime's I have mentioned lacked it, but never the less I liked them )
I would preffer if the MC was a Male, and he started with nothing and then grew to become a knight or he
was a king of an country that got taken over and he is on he's way to get it back.
Thank you.

Anyone have an suggestions for something along the lines of:
Bokura Wa Minna Kawaisou
Barakamon
Bakuman
Nagi No Asukara
Good slice of life anime - (Romance pref, but not necessary)
Either that or something like:
Shokugeki no Soma
Mondaiji-Tachi
No Game, No life
Dungeon ni deai wo motomeru
Baby Steps
Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica
Where the main character is either OP or starts off useless/average then becomes OP.
If I was being really picky - Would be preferable if it weren't too old or y'know, looks like the graphics were designed by an 7 year old using paint shop pro.

Don't ever pick a design that displays the images by default, otherwise it takes forever to scoll down with any decent length list.
