I played osu! multiplayer for about an hour yesterday. I think I did pretty fine, although I did get stumped on my a higher level player. It seems I can do 4.5-5 star difficulties, depends on the BPM and HP Drain though.

Current Bullet Hell games I have tried so far: Jigoku Kisetsukan: Sense of the Seasons | Danmaku Unlimited 2
Looking into if it is possible to receive a Touhou game through torrenting. If not, might need to purchase it some how.

This will have survived for about three weeks by next Monday!

You could als download Danmakufu if touhou fan games are your thing, theres plenty of scripts for it. (or make your own too)

Earlier today, I had my first piano lesson since it was planned for me to start one when summer came by. I learned about the 1,2,3,4,5 numbered fingers to be able to do the c scale of c, d, e, f, g, a, b, c. At first it was kind of complicated because you had to do this one thing for the scale where you put your thumb under your palm to reach F, so that you can smoothly do the rest of the scale. By the next lesson, my tutor wants me to get used to do the C and G scale and also play Row in the Park.

This just came to my mind, and I'm also sure there's some kind of thread like this out there somewhere too. But, how did some of you discover osu!?
I actually discovered this game when a video of it showed up in my "What to watch" feed on Youtube. I think my eyes died when I saw the speed and I thought that it was impossible to do. I tried the game, and here I am now.

At the moment, my favorite beatmap is https://osu.ppy.sh/s/79498. It's really hard for me, but I'd love to be able to play it. I like the half-way point where it goes into this crazy streaming mode.

Don't think I'll be around on the fourth of July. So happy early independence day to you guys! lol

Managed to reach stage 5 in Jigoku Kisetsukan: Sense of the Seasons on easy before losing all my continues. Oh well, once I beat it on easy I'll probably move up to normal difficulty.

Has anyone here tried playing Yandere Simulator? It's in early development and there isn't much yet. It has potential but hasn't reached a state where the game is fully playable and does not have an ending. It's fun to kill everyone.. throw their bodies in the furnace.. clean up the blood... wahahaahahahaa

Has anyone taken this personality test before? It's pretty accurate in my opinion. http://www.16personalities.com/

Loads of people have taken that test; I've been ENTP-A for every kind of personality test that I've taken.

Played a game called Eternal Senia. It's a pretty short rpg that you can beat under six hours. The story is pretty nice in my opinion and there's three different endings. You don't have to replay the whole game to get the different endings. As long as you have a second save in the "Confession Hall" so that you can do something different. That's what I did. Lol

For the time I've been a player of osu!. I don't think I've ever had seen more than 30,000 players online at one time. Even though there are six million registered players. I go on the website to get new beatmaps and also use the forums. So I see how many players are generally online a lot. Did osu! ever have a time when it was more popular and teeming with players than now? A question to long time players.

I'm going to be on osu! all evening on Wednesday to try and reach the next level. I suppose it's best to play short 1-2 minute beatmaps on hard\insane, with a decent score. So that I can quickly gain exp. I think this is a good method for my current level. If you think otherwise, tell me.

I recently started a visual novel called Shinigami no Kiss wa Wakare no Aji.
Translated into english meaning A Reapers Kiss is the Taste of Parting. I finished up Shizuku's route over the weekend. Will be trying to unlock Koharu's route later this week.

It's pretty hot outside for the summer where I am. Maybe my body just hates the heat or something because it seems everyone else around me is doing fine. I just want a lot of cold water and a dark cooled room to sit in. I swear opening a window just makes the room more hot.

I think we have two more months to go, before I can achieve keeping this alive. Without spam or really short bumps. Unless my paragraphs count as spam..?

Aw

Well maybe in the sometime future this game will get more popular. But there's the fact that there are many other games out there to play instead..

That makes me wonder, what is it about this game that grabs and pulls people in? Is it just because of anime and people want to be a part of it for that? Or is it because people love the various music? Maybe they just like this kind of rhythmical game.

I personally play because I'm just one of those suckers to like to see myself make really high numbers and then beat older scores that I've made. I guess you could say that I like grindfest games also.

I've always liked rhythm games, but a lot of them have a very high bar of entry to learning the basic level. Mania, for example, I find it very difficult to read 4 lanes at once and then convert it all to finger inputs, not to mention more complex maneuvers like holding one finger down while tapping with others.

Osu! is very simplistic to get into and has a very smooth learning curve, which I can appreciate. It also draws on normal gamer muscle memory, aiming at things is second nature to anyone who's played an FPS, so they already can play the game at a basic level before they even touch it.

That's my theory anyway.

Personally I love the game because improvement is very visible and noticeable.

Sadly I found out too late that I was busy this evening, and didn't get the chance to grind exp up to level 59. I'm planning to reach it tomorrow though, since I'm pretty close.

That makes me think, what exactly is the maximum level on osu!? When I first started playing I used to think it was level 100. But I've seen a level 101 before. What's the max?

Is the girl on the top of the website, to the left of "Rhythm is just a Click Away". Is she the mascot for this game? I suppose so. Does she have a name at all, and does anyone know what it is?

It's late where I am as of right now, so good night.
Yuudachi-kun
There is no max level.

I think there's someone at level 104

But the requirements spike ridiculously high after level 100

personally I don't even see why levels exist

And I'm no coder but the max level is probably one of those bit related numbers that always seem to come up if you're familiar with game breaking: 255, 65535, etc.

Started reading a manga called One-Punch Man. The chapters aren't too long, but it's pretty good. The comedy and cheesiness is on point, and there are subtle moments when it is actually pretty serious. The plot may seem simple or something that would get boring after a while, but there's just something there that pulls you in. I just love the main character's personality, Saitama. "Oh, no! I forgot! It's special sale day!"

Heard that there was going to be an animated adaptation of One-Punch Man also. I just hope that the episodes aren't 5-10 minutes long due to how short the chapters are. Mainly because it started out as a web comic.

Posting this an hour before Tuesday!! There was a party today at someone's else house and I didn't expect it to end so late. >_<
Just glad that I was able to make it in time. Even though I know that nobody really cares if I missed once or not..

So I started playing a game called Stonehearth, it's pretty fun if you like to play games where you take control of a small group of people and then turn it into a large scale civilization. You can make build custom buildings in-game. The game has a really big "Dwarf Fortress" feel to it. If you've ever played Dwarf Fortress before, I recommend checking out Stonehearth. Although, Stonehearth is not free in case you didn't know.

I am almost there to my Level 60 milestone achievement for osu!! :)

I've been considering to try and get into either Taiko or Mania. If anyone is reading this, in your own opinion which one do you think is easier to learn and get into? I know that some people just naturally learn one or the other faster than others or either just have a preference, but it'd be interesting to see what some other players think.
I'm only trying to get into Taiko or Mania so that I can expand my playing options.

I have reached Level 60! I hope to reach Level 70 by the end of summer. I think I can do it. I guess I need to do maybe around 2-3 hours of game time per day.
Actually, maybe less.

Tried to play some Taiko and Mania. Completely did horrible on easy difficulty. x_x I want to continue trying them out though.

Found some nice fan art of Pippi while casually browsing the internet.

Osu levels? Seriously?

Anyone here waiting for the game Fallout 4? I loved New Vegas.

If anyone is reading this, how many beatmaps do you have? Also, how do you manage your beatmaps? I have 127 different beatmaps downloaded, it may not seem like much to you but it is to me! I manage them by taking the time of making collections, categorizing them by Anime Name/Genre/Song Artist. It helps a lot for finding what I need quick without scrolling through all of my songs by abc order. Since I know which anime or song artist the beatmap I'm looking for is related to. I have a lot of beatmaps that I don't play anymore regularly, but I haven't deleted nor have found the reason to.

I have a friend that doesn't use collections at all for organization and choosing which songs to play. He just has his beatmaps sorted by date added and he is totally fine with that. I go crazy thinking about it, because he could at least have them sorted by abc order if he isn't going to use collections, like I do sometimes.

Anyway, I wonder if there's anyone with over 1,000 beatmaps (Not counting multiple beatmap difficulties for one song) downloaded in their game.
Yuudachi-kun
I have 5000 maps including diffs and this is low.

I was busy yesterday due to having to go to a wedding and then staying at my cousins until this evening. I am back, and still putting effort into posting every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If I miss one due to something, I'll still find a way to post an update three times a week. This will survive until the end of summer.

Started to look through some older games that I own for the PC, and I started playing Spore. I forgot how much fun that game was. :) My favorite stage is probably the creature stage, and the tribal stage after that. The space stage is kind of meh, but that's probably only because I don't own the galactic adventures expansion pack.

At the exact moment of me posting this, there are currently six million and six hundred sixty six thousand and thirty registered users. (6,666,030)
From my own experience of visiting the site to download beatmaps every other day, I've noticed that only fifteen to ten thousand players are online daily.
I am very bad at math but if I am at least somewhat correct, only about six to seven percent of the registered players are online daily. Or at least log in three out of seven days of a week or more.

But now think of this. There is currently a total of 3.22 billion ranked plays at the moment of this post. 6,666,030 registered players, if they all each played a ranked map once.. that would only make up about 4.8% of how many ranked plays there are in total. But there isn't a daily amount of six million, or even half a million, or even just one hundred thousand players daily playing ranked maps. So when you think about it, this small community has really done a lot for this game. We are a small number of a player base compared to other games, but we each put a lot of hours into this game. osu! isn't dying any time soon.

You just received a massive amount of respect from me for some reason, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the effort you put into these posts and the fact that you put time and effort into analyzing these things; it seems like you're determined towards a certain goal and you're doing well on your way to achieve it. I like you, you are good.

Ugh, do you guys know that feeling of when you said you would do something sincerely, only to not be able to do it due to situations. Then you don't feel like doing it anymore?

Well anyway, I'll be working on trying to get the next level in osu! by the end of the weekend. Started checking out a game called TERA, I feel like I'm the only male character playing sometimes haha. That moment when you play too much games and you don't each breakfast and lunch. x_x

I'm going to be watching some horror movies with some friends later today (It's late night/early morning as of right now.). Horror movies are always fun with friends. *o*

I've seen the registered players go up by 50-2,000 randomly whenever I go on this site. Yet, the average daily amount of players playing either only goes up or down slightly, between 500-3,000. There is currently an average (from my own experience) of generally a minimum of 7,000 and a maximum of 15,000 players online at one time. About 75% of those players are ones that at least log in three or more out of seven days a week. The rest are usually between the levels of 1-30, and sometimes don't pick up the game much or either quit sometime soon.
