Yet the Extra is only 4.5 and the Insane is labeled as H NVM, Beginner and Insane are WIP (if you don't want to do insane for whatever reason, you may Always ask me, i love this song :D) If you do, I can also make a Extra (Which is a little more then 4.5 star) :P

Updated taiko diffs + Changed naming: Insane -> Extra + Added a new Insane + Nerfed a bit Hard + Removed Beginner

Now everything should be ready for modding :3

The star rating is balanced on a lower BPM.
Patterning differences should be fine if you see how the diffs get harder and harder I can't put circles from a corner to another just to increase the SR...

General

I usually use this section to give my opinion about things in the map that are not wrong but I would change for certain reasons. You can disregard this if you like.

Raise AR to 9. Considering the map is only 231 BPM, has lenient drain and OD and would be over 6 stars this would make this too easy to DT farm. Nothing wrong with this but at least with AR9 DT it's more demanding than if it was just 8.6 which makes it much easier to read. It's also an extra difficulty (albeit weighted) so it should at least show a wider difficulty gap than the insane aside from just patterns.

Consider raising HP to 6. I tested it a few times with HR mod (I suck at ar10 btw) and the drain wasn't the reason I died :v Same goes for DT.

Also consider raising OD to 8 or at least 7.5. I say this because sure the BPM is low but that shouldn't mean that the map difficulty should be easier to reflect that. I wish I could play more lower bpm extras tbh cuz I'm not that fast :v
The way I see the hardest insane/extra is if you can play this then you can definitely sight read and aim better than most people so you should be able to play with a smaller hit error window (I think thats what its called)
It would also mark a more noticeable difference between the insane and the extra.

Consider either changing combo 2 or 3 to a lighter pink or adding an extra combo (preferrably between 2 and 3 or 3 and 4) The song is, after all, named a thousand cherry blossoms (or something idk) so it would make more sense to throw in a bit more pink in there.

01:11:846 (1,2,3) - Don't be afraid to make 2 this into 2 notes. This type of hammer-on/pull-off flutter/trill is very common in guitar and violin pieces and is very intuitive to the listener. I don't speak for other players of course but even not hearing this song my fingers sort of wanted to do this 1/3 triple. Same for 01:18:339 (2). If you didn't want to do this due to a readability concern then my proposal is to switch this section with the one pattern you have here 02:14:183 (1,2,3) - and 02:20:417 (1,2,3) - because then the player will be able to hear the pattern once and should expect this kind of sound in the 2nd chorus so it would make more sense to them reading it after having heard it.


01:34:833 - 01:40:287 - Arguably you don't NEED to have a break here since the violin is still very alive here but this is perfectly fine.

02:30:547 (1,2,3,4) - Space this out a bit more. Probably about x0.65 - .70 to stay consistent with 02:32:105 (2,3,4,5) - and 02:32:885 (2,3,4,5) - and so on. Also because it's four 1/4th notes and most people would expect 5 at first play since you don't expect her to only play 4 notes. So this would improve note visibility.

General

Consider raising AR to 8.5. Most people who can read AR8 DT don't have much of a problem DTing 8.5. It also looks very nice no mod :)

Also consider OD7. Maybe it's just my personal preference but I like Insanes and Extras to have more challenging ODs. Although I see nothing wrong with 6.5 (again this is usually an opinion section so you can disregard this)

01:03:274 (1,2,3,4,5) - You can make this look like 01:04:053 (1,2,3,4,5) - or vice versa. It doesn't look bad though but so far your map has a lot of symmetric patterns so it would look nicer that way.

01:42:040 (4) - Move to x:85 y:202. Keeps the same distance spacing, adds a bit more spacing to get to 01:42:235 (5) - and adds a nice parallel between 1 + 3 and 2 + 4. Triple win!!

02:24:313 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - last few notes look a little off. I added a circle between that and slightly moved the notes around so it looks a bit cleaner like so. The note for reference.

02:58:599 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Honestly there's nothing wrong with this pattern but after seeing this pattern here 02:55:482 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - it feels a little eh. Maybe spice up the spacing a bit more or do something similar but like I said the current pattern isn't bad.

00:21:196 (1) - This is fine but you could also probably stack it on top of 2.

00:41:261 (4,1,2,3) - Something about this doesn't quite look right. I think it's the feel of the jump from the previous combo's 4 into 1 and then the stacked anti jump from 1 to 2. Some people might give you flak for having 2 start on the red tick but when you play that and you listen to the violin your fingers are tapping to the violin which is neat so I like that. Anyway enough rambling what I suggest here is stacking 4 on the previous slider, rotating 1 and 2 by -30 and stacking that on top of the slider head of 00:39:898 (1) - so it would look something like this. That way you keep similar spacing, the anti jump doesn't look or feel so awkward and you keep the section looking clean with the blanket and that stack and what not.

01:29:183 (2) - You might be able to get away with removing one reverse arrow and adding a note on the last white tick :) I don't think this would make that too hard honestly because the player will have more than enough time to see the approach circle without thinking about anything other than holding click on that slider. Plus the bonus is that it feels better tapping out that violin strum (or whatever you call a violin strum) on 01:29:768 -

02:07:170 (1) - If possible, try using 02:07:949 (3) - for reference so you can do something like this more or less. Maybe moving a few things around so the blanketted 4 looks more centered.

02:48:469 (3) - Looks better at x:159 y:259 more or less.

01:30:157 (1) - Looks a little lopsided. Right side is longer than the left side. Consider cleaning it up a bit. Same with 01:26:651 (1).

General

I usually use this section to give my opinion about things in the map that are not wrong but I would change for certain reasons. You can disregard this if you like.

Raise AR to 9. Considering the map is only 231 BPM, has lenient drain and OD and would be over 6 stars this would make this too easy to DT farm. Nothing wrong with this but at least with AR9 DT it's more demanding than if it was just 8.6 which makes it much easier to read. It's also an extra difficulty (albeit weighted) so it should at least show a wider difficulty gap than the insane aside from just patterns. ✔ Beside the fact that even with AR8.6 DT-ing is crazy I think that with nomod on it it is indeed to low, so I put AR9

Consider raising HP to 6. I tested it a few times with HR mod (I suck at ar10 btw) and the drain wasn't the reason I died :v Same goes for DT. ✘ A lot of people complained about the opposite and I find myself that the HP is already harsh, considering the patterning

Also consider raising OD to 8 or at least 7.5. I say this because sure the BPM is low but that shouldn't mean that the map difficulty should be easier to reflect that. I wish I could play more lower bpm extras tbh cuz I'm not that fast :v
The way I see the hardest insane/extra is if you can play this then you can definitely sight read and aim better than most people so you should be able to play with a smaller hit error window (I think thats what its called)
It would also mark a more noticeable difference between the insane and the extra. ✔ Good point and I was thinking about the same thing. To tell you the truth, these settings were left from when this diff was an Insane, that's why :P

Consider either changing combo 2 or 3 to a lighter pink or adding an extra combo (preferrably between 2 and 3 or 3 and 4) The song is, after all, named a thousand cherry blossoms (or something idk) so it would make more sense to throw in a bit more pink in there. AS for the pink colour, they already said me that it blended with the BG so I had to make it more dark. As for the other combo colour... let's say that I'll keep it in mind, because right now I don't really think there is any need

We unfortunately have different concepts regarding this flow then, since I find it quite fitting seeing were the next slider is placed. Difficulty not always comes from a lot of notes, you know ;) These breaks in the rhythm are meant for reading purposes and because this IS one of the most energetic parts is the reason to place unusual/unexpected patterns

Both hitsounds and spacing are telling the player that it's not like that xD Above all spacing: if I were to move that NC there will be a spacing inconsistency since the spacing between 01:31:326 (7,1,2) - will be the same, which shouldn't be, because I have different timings: 01:31:326 (7,1) - 3/4 & 01:31:618 (1,2) - 1/2

Not sure if you knew, but AsaNe requested this for you. I've already modded this, but I was bad back then. Still surprised to see this isn't ranked yet, because I remember how good it was.

  1. 00:19:638 (1) - The curved shape here implies a blanket of 00:20:027 (2) - However, 00:20:417 (3) - blankets with 1. I recommend just changing the shape of 1 so it doesn't look like a blanket
  2. 00:43:209 (2) - I think stack works better here, since it appears soon after 00:42:235 (4) -
  3. 00:43:794 (1) - Not really feeling this shape. This may or may not fall under "slider manipulation" (since it wiggles) which is unrankable. Double check with BN maybe
  4. 01:05:807 (2,3,4,5,6) - I think you should start the 1/4 circles on a white note, to make it slightly easier (might be hard to change now, so decline if you want)
  5. 01:14:378 (2,3) - I think the hitsounding is wrong here

Just like I remember. Great work, however some of the hitsounding is weird. I couldn't quite figure out what pattern you were placing claps and whistles on, but just make sure it's consistent.

Checking hitsounds on the Std diffs by PM request:

General Comments:
Hitsound Selection: Fine, but consider adding a blank soft-sliderslide2.wav file to make your slider bodies silent, as I feel the default sound contrasts with the violin in an awkward way
File Quality: soft-hitfinish2 and drum-hitfinish2 are both 2822kbps, which is fine, although it increases the file size a little. If this bothers you, here's a 1411kbps version which should sound identical, and saves roughly 700KB
Playback Delay: No issues
Unused Hitsounds: No issues
Volume: Hitsounds are pretty hard to hear in some sections, especially hitnormal and hitwhistle during the second half of the song (they just get overpowered by the drums IMO). I'd like to suggest a few changes (Just an overview, will need to be applied on an individual basis to each diff):
  1. Add an uniherited section at 00:44:573 to raise the volume slightly after the intro (~60%)
  2. Increase volume at 00:57:040 in the first kiai to ~75% - there aren't many drum claps (snare sounds) present yet so this doesn't need to be too high
  3. From 01:21:975 the rhythm is the same as in the kiai, but you don't need the extra emphasis, so you'll want something like 60-65%
  4. If you want to keep the volume increase at 01:46:521 that you have currently, I'd make the above section 60% and this one 65%
  5. For the second kiai at 01:59:378 I'd try something like 70% as there's more emphasis on the violin and less on the drums here. Then in the third kiai at 02:11:846 try increasing it a little more, to say, 80% (you're helping to build emphasis throughout the whole song in this way)
  6. After the third kiai at 02:24:313 keeping a ~70-75% hitsound volume draws lots of emphasis to the finality of the kick drum sounds which would be good. You can then keep this all the way up until 02:41:456 where you may want to increase slightly for the kick drum buildup, then revert back to around 55-60% at 02:43:014 for the calm section
  7. Lastly, I feel that 02:55:482 should really be a kiai section instead of 02:36:781, since it's the same pattern as the other choruses. Either way, you want to be building to a climax here, so increase the volume again slightly relative to your last chorus (~90%)
Difficulty Specific Comments:
AsaNe's Easy
  1. 00:55:482 (6) - Replace clap on head with whistle, it sounds weird to have both as claps to me, and for following the drums, the tail has more prominence
  2. 00:57:040 - Whistle seems overused to me here - consider removing whistle where you have a clap (mostly slider tails) to draw more emphasis to that hitsound
  3. 01:09:508 - In this section, you could change the sampleset on some of the slider tails to Drum addition to emphasise the kick drum notes, e.g. 01:10:287 - 01:11:846 etc.
  4. 01:20:417 (6) - Finish on the tail instead of the head? You use it this way round at 02:22:755 (6,7) and it sounds a little better to me
  5. 01:31:326 (4) - Add whistle here to keep a consistent pattern alternating whistle/clap
  6. 01:50:027 (5) - Add drum clap on the tail
  7. 01:57:820 (6) - Same as 00:55:482 (6)
  8. 01:59:378 - Clap is overused here (on almost every note lol) - Your existing pattern alternating whistle/clap worked fine, so I'd stick to it, but use a louder volume as I suggested above to keep the emphasis here
  9. 02:10:287 (6) - Swap to whistle on head and repeat to match the kick drum buildup
  10. 02:11:846 - Same as the other choruses, so use the same hitsound pattern for consistency - here you're only using soft additions when previous sections used drum
    02:24:313 (1,2) - Clap on the heads of these sliders? It's the same sound in the music as 02:27:430 (3,4,5,6) - Also do the same for the heads of 02:30:547 (1,2,3)
  11. 02:41:456 (4,5) - Drum sampleset to match the kick drum buildup?
  12. 02:43:014 (1) - Clap not really necessary here, it's not as prominent as the head of 02:43:794 (2)
  13. 02:53:144 (3,4) - Whistle on the sliderbodies here sounds really out of place considering you don't use it anywhere else. Consider removing it
  14. 02:55:482 - Pretty much the same as I suggested for the other kiais, to maintain consistency

Normal
  1. 00:38:339 (1) - Remove whistle on the tail to be consistent with 00:39:118 (2)
  2. 00:58:599 (1,2) and 01:02:495 (1,2) - - Consider removing the tail whistles, they feel a little overbearing here (and other 1/2 slider tails such as 01:14:183 (3) if possible)
  3. 01:25:092 (1,2) - Drum clap on the tails of these two? It seems to fit with your following pattern
  4. 01:44:573 (3,4,5) - I'd remove the whistle from these last (5) beats to draw more attention to the kick drum (claps)
  5. 02:11:846 - As above, remove whistles from slider tails where there is a kick drum beat for better emphasis
  6. 02:24:313 (1,2) - Clap on the heads of these sliders? It's the same sound in the music as 02:27:430 (3,4,5,6) - Also do the same for the head of 02:30:547 (1)
  7. 02:55:482 - Same as in the last chorus, 02:11:846

Hard
  1. 00:38:047 (4,5) - 1/4 whistles used in this way produce a kind of "ringing" effect which I'm not a fan of. I'd remove these whistles, but if you like them feel free to keep them
  2. 00:58:599 (1,2) - Whistle feels overused here, consider removing from these slider tails
  3. 01:08:729 (1) - Why does the slider tail here have a default finish, when in the Normal it had the SC:2 finish? Is this intentional?
  4. 01:23:144 (4,4) - You could switch to drum clap addition here for a double snare sound like you've done at 01:27:820 (5) and 01:30:937 (3)
  5. 02:54:703 (5) - Same as 00:38:047 (4,5) - consider removing the blue tick whistles

You get the idea by now, and since the last two difficulties are similar to Hard but with more difficult patterns, there wouldn't be much point in pointing out the same things again. Of course all of these are just suggestions based on my own personal opinion, so don't feel you have to accept any of them.

If I can suggest a flow, I'll suggest this flow => http://puu.sh/iJV8F/29c7f0b277.jpg . i think it's more readable. (depending on your own style. I just want to avoid those killing jump and overlap T.T)
