Everything was working just fine for me until i kept getting this message: http://puu.sh/g4FRH/81fc4cb10e.png

what's going on? i double checked osu irc and twitch irc configs and they seem to be accurate, i don't know what the problem is.

EDIT: restarted all programs running on the PC, generated new irc passwords and it worked.

EDIT2: its now acting up again, giving me the same message along with this when i try to close the program: http://puu.sh/g4Gq6/b1516a00df.png

First off, thanks for making this!! This is awesome, I use it with my own little stream tool for cursor tracing and it makes everything connect really well :)

Just a quick request, if possible. If you wanted help, too, I'd be willing to pitch in for this ;)

If possible, a !r IRC command would be cool for requests...

I'm not sure which language this is written in, but if the IRC bot could send to the companion a list of links in a 'box' for requests, I'd be very grateful.

For example,
a) User types !r <beatmap link> from osu.ppy.sh
b) Box in Stream Companion says "User X requested <beatmap link>"
c) Companion stores links in a list as they come in and displays list.
d) (If possible) When link is clicked/button pressed in companion, removes the first request and moves the list "up" one spot.

I'm not the most popular Twitch streamer, but those who have a lot of viewers may not be able to see all requests because chat is flowing too fast.

In the same sense, having !ron / !roff, again, if possible could activate/deactivate this.

Let me know if you need some help/if I was a bit fuzzy in my description (I'm not always the best with words :cry: )

The only problem I have with this is I can't get to my Local folder to get the osu folder and set it up :'(

edit: nvm, just moved the osu! folder to Program Files, can find it now :^)

I rlly tried to set this up and i failed :D Would be nice if someone could message me and help me with setting this up.

Besides that for some reason your main window looks plain ugly and broken... , make sure that StreamCompanion isn't blocked by firewall or sandboxed by antivirus.

Hey Piotrekol,

Thanks for that nifty piece of software.
Using Xsplit however I have litttle to no use of the imagemods since I cannot make the picture automatically refresh itself. Any pointers on that? I tried to make an image slideshow with mods.png twice. Thinking of "piping" another file to the mod.png like mod2 just in case.

Also, I do know this concerns only a very little part of us, but if you could make it work with the tournament client that would be AWESOMESAUCE, really.

the easiest way is actually to just create a image slide show add "hero.jpg" then check the box "progress images every" and set "when finished" to loop
I am not using xsplit so I don't know if this actually works.

as for tournament client - I don't have access to it so it won't happen.

I think somethin's broken :

We were playing no mod (It's easy to see something's wrong as it show 5K mod when we are playing STD)
It was like this for 3 maps then fixed itself somehow. (When it fixed, there was a 4th player in the room, related ?)
It came back far later (A few map before the end) and was on the four last maps, when we were only two in the room, but it we did more than 4 maps where we were only 2 so I dunno if it's related to number of players or not idk :<

Hello Piotrekol!

Thanks for the good work on this great stream helper.
Is it possible to make ThirdOutput.txt get song data while listening when checked? It currently works only for np.txt and npData.txt. It would help me a lot, as I use all three outputs. The third output updates only on playing the map.

I'd like to request being able to modify the Twitch bot commands. Mainly !sessioninfo, since right now it lists K1/K2 stats, and I play M1/K2 :P

EDIT: Nvm, I fixed it by just adding new beatmaps.

I've found some of the missing mod images from your preset pack. Just tell me if you want the .zip and I can PM it to you Piotrekol.

Also it seems like the software can't detect me playing Target Practice. Something you could look into.

But just tell me if you want the mod images. They are the same style as yours.
Still missing LM tho. Never heard of that mod?

Something that would be extremely nice is a text-to-speech chat feature, since reading chat while playing is difficult.

!sessioninfo is going to be editable starting next version(something I overlooked and no1 complained about)

LM = LastMod from https://github.com/peppy/osu-api/wiki but it seems it isn't used in game at all- Will be removed in next version.

Piotrekol, could you explain to me how you're pulling information from the osu client? I'm trying to make something myself but can't figure out anything except for the song title (parsing it from Process.MainWindowTitle. I use C# btw).

I got another problem. When I'm using Osu Stream Companion while streaming on Twitch, I dont get any updates on my rank :( Its because of the Bot ... Anone knows how to resolve this ?

Hello I love the program but whenever I launch it, its automatically disappears. I can't alt tab to it or anything so I cant edit anything. I cant uninstall it or anything either so im lost please help.

Did you check if it went to the tray?

Disable "Start Minimized" if you manage to open the main app.

I was also wondering if there is a specific thing I need to do to get the !np command to work in my chat? How do I get the bot to join my channel basically. I have everything checked and good to go but I cannot get it to work.

I see the program pulls 20% off my last gen i7 when playing, so yeah I'll have to check around but it doesn't seem to be normal.
Edit : confirmed, when twitch bot has been disabled back to 0.2% =)

it's been a time since I'm using your program (and I have to say that it's really awesome) but it's a bit sad that we can only have 2 .txt output files, we should be able to add as much as we want, I'm sure it could help making very customized stream layout !

I'm trying to start using the application, but I'm stuck on "Nothing playing at the moment.", yet I have the "MSN Integration" enabled in osu! and everything else seems to be working fine.

Do I need to install Windows Live Messenger for this to work?

Anybody can help me with this? Thanks.

No you shouldn't need to install Messenger for that to work. Mine's been working without having MSN.

And note that the "now playing..." status will only update when you are playing. Start a map, pause then tab out to check.

I have tried to start playing a song, but it remains as "Nothing playing at the moment". I'm playing windowed mode, not fullscreen; should it matter?

I installed the program and I opened it and the window flashed, then went away, and whenever I tried to open it it gave me an error saying "osuStreamCompanion is already running" how do I get the program to actually show?

@lurked: are you sure that you've specified the correct path to the osu folder?

@Utopia: check your notification area, you could have "start minimized" ticked

The path seems to be the correct one, I copied the one from the shortcut I open osu! from :

I decided to try some more stuff this morning though. I ended up being able to make it work by moving the osu!companion executable file on the same hard drive as osu!, and now it works! (osu!companion downloaded on my SSD by default, and osu! was on my HDD. Moving osu!companion to the "D:" HDD made it work.)

The companion used to work perfectly fine but now whenever I open it all I get is this:

For some reason my osu!StreamCompanion wont even start up, The only thing I see is that its in Task Manager for a couple of seconds.

I´m trying to make the IRC bot work (that thing that makes the twitch chat messages go to osu! IRC), i already set all the passwords, logged in with osu! and Twitch, enabled the bot, but it doesn't work... Anyone can help me?

this is a really kickass little tool, but...

is there any methods of replying to the chat relay via Osu! at all?? the Twitch>>Osu! relay works awesome but I can't reply... and that's kind of a bummer!!

On LiSA - EGOiSTiC SHOOTER [CRN's Extra], all pp commands are false. !PP_None! is returning 3.83 instead of 5.82, and so on.

Just re-downloaded this application... Is "!Mods!" command disabled? It didn't work for me :( Thanks, I love all the dedication put into this! :)

EDIT: Never mind I'm getting the same problem as MikuHatsune96... any way to fix this? (Like the mods that are ACTIVE are not displayed, however every other INACTIVE mod is displayed.)

Found out what is the problem- in order for mods to work in SC you have to be using either beta or cuttingedge osu! release(not going to create fix for stable)

How I can make the twitch chat show in osu!? I already set everything, the Twitch and osu iirc, followed the steps like the MSN Live thing and still nothing.

!Mods! is outputting only SD,K8,RN regardless of which mods are actually used. It's the same on stable, beta, and cutting edge. Windows 7, running the latest version (v150623.17) Have tried a variety of maps, restarting, running as admin, and everything else seems to be working fine, so I'm unsure if it's a problem on my end.

I got the twitch chat relay working in which twitch chat messages are redirected to a chat tab in-game. Is it possible to reply to twitch messages relayed into the osu in-game chat?


When I attempt to reply, I get a message from BanchoBot that says that I have not joined that channel yet.
