I haven't used a skin before, but if there's one thing that annoys me in osu is that you can't get rid of the pulsing/glowing taps and sliders when you have a combo of 100X + .. It's really distracting and if anyone knows of a skin, even the basic one itself edited without the glow

do you mean lighting? it's available at options. you can turn it off

and if you're talking about star2, try to find any blank image and name that into star2

Yeah man, turn off hit lighting in the options menu. It makes the world of difference. Kiai isn't blinding anymore.
