Ryze became potent at range with his Q now being a skillshot which doesn't fit in his kit imo. What's annoying me the most however is his insane tankiness now.

I'd suggest put the root on a delay similar to Swain but faster and single target and I think it would add more counterplay. Getting harassed at long range and melted at close without being able to dig through his huge shield and HP is just far too much.

However as a Ryze player he became a lot more fun to play.

You'll regret it. I wanted to do an unranked to challenger run playing only adc (my main acc is challenger). I instantly regretted buying Vayne and Graves only. Graves is alright but Vayne is a subpar adc at most, even in this tanky meta - I won like the first 20 and then I just got matches where I got quadra ganked bot all day. Not fun.

I play on both. I don't play a lot on BR though because I only go there when LAS is lagging. I climbed from Plat 1 to D2 in like 4-5 days in Brazil though (last season when I transfered my smurf), so I don't think its "better" at all. Could get Challenger there as well. I think BRs take it more seriously though, or at least try to win more as a team and less... individually? In LAS it looks like everyone wants to solocarry.

The only difference is the "seriousness" of the Challenger players, LAS Challengers are really... well kind of jerks and not serious at all.
I keep hearing "oh you are Challenger on LAS that's like Platinum on EUW/NA/etc" and I honestly disagree. I watch a lot of streams so I know how the avarage Challenger NA/EUW/etc player plays. I could be there too, whenever I watch these streams I see SOOOO many mistakes from them... so yeah...
The only difference is the seriousness of the players - which translates into mentality and competitive success, which we lack.

By seriousness I mean things like... people will act like 12 y/o in LAS challenger. Lots of may-may's, blaming, trolling, etc.

So yeah while I agree there aren't many good players in LAS Challenger, I also think there aren't in ANY region, it's just that those regions with LCS players have some better players than the rest - they have people playing there who get paid to play.
Aside from the LCS players, I think it's 100% the same in terms of skill - they might just have more skilled players, but not better players - except for the LCS ones, which are obviously better than the rest since it's their whole life dedicated to it.
So yeah, that said, whenever I see any stream from NA or EUW I see loooots of mistakes. I'd love to play there and try though.

So tl;dr: We are a small region which means we have less good players, but not worse players. The only straight out better players from other regions compared to LAS are the LCS players.

edit: I have some clips from the times I played in a Challenger team in LAS (we were rank 1 but not the best team since the best ones were not playing ranked 5's haha). I'll probably upload some and also some from BR.

makes sense, so it was exactly like I imagined, thanks for confirming. the thing is that in BR servers, everybody knows each other at high elo and most of them end up in the competitive scenery (usually as tier 2-3) so they don't act like little kids too often. Below d5, though, everybody wants to solo carry and the troll amount is so ridiculously high that it's barely possible to play without duo'ing to make the chance of a troll in your team smaller.

Would be cool to play w/ you on BR server tho, would learn a lot from it :p

Well back in S3 when LAS server was created I was like Silver in NA but I had only played the placements. Then I transferred my acc, and I started out at Gold. I thought "wow I'll be happy when I get to Plat"! Then I got there and nothing changed for me, I now wanted Diamond. Some months later I got to Diamond and same thing... So I climbed from Gold (technically unranked actually) to Diamond in 1 season. Then got to Challenger in Season 4 and at first I wanted to climb the Challenger ladder but after some weeks and getting like 400 LP I stopped enjoying playing there. I just dislike the people. So nowadays I just play once a week in my main acc so I don't get demoted, and instead I play with friends, smurf, etc.

Oh and about the team, I wanted to be in a good team for some time, so we created this team and scrimmed all the "competitive" folks that we could (BKLG, LK, FG, FGA, FoN, etc.). At first we were winning against pretty much anyone even though we were like 3 weeks old. Then for some reason we started sucking and I left.

That's what they call honeymoon syndrome I guess.

Random clip from some months ago of a ranked 5's vs. bKLG (means benched from KLG, KLG being the "best" team of the LAS/LAN atm). Kind of a sloppy play from me, I just KSed everyone, but my team focused them pretty well.

I feel like this game will be pretty one sided for SKT

Dyrus on Hecarim is a bad idea imo, Bengi playing so well this tournament and on the other side Santorin is underperforming, Bang is really superior to WT... Only Lustboy & Bjergsen have a chance imo but we will see, I hope for a good match

If TSM don't (doesn't ? idk which one to use :cry: ) step up tomorrow, I'm affraid they'll be out of the tournament. I don't see them winning against EDG & AHQ is looking pretty godd, I don't see Fnatic winning against EDG & SKT neither but they already won against TSM so... (Assuming Fnatic will not bring back the Kabuum syndrom for Europe)

Yah, i'm hoping they step up their game. They expected to get second, based on the interviews about MSI, but that might not be the case.

Grammar
"Doesn't" is the correct grammar because TSM is one team. "Don't" is weird because it can applied to both plural and singular like "Don't do that" is singular , but "The teams dont have tacos" is plural. In this case, "If TSM doesn't" is the correct form.

Album for day 3 is here. There were less selfies with people since there were no team meetups again, since the matches went over midnight again.
But tomorrow will be a glorious day of selfies and signatures, Also GG to fnatic, man that shit was close. Bengi = dirty Nunu picker confirmed.
I also got to sit next to Froskurinn and RiotAtlus for the entire EDG series and talk to them about LPL and everything. Atlus is fucking hilarious.

I showed it to Monte at the caster desk and he said it was almost perfect and he signed it. Could find DoA today but I wanna show him the sign as well tomorrow.

Everybody craps on people like Dyrus but they never seem to think of the bigger picture (first thing being that they are professionals and the people who utterly insult people like Dyrus usually suck, so who are they to talk?)

Could Dyrus have done better? Sure. He could. But is he on the same tier of bad as you make him out to be? Far from it.

lol, actually we had problems putting ma hands around them, since Dyrus was so tall but Lustboy was so small, so that was a bit awkward. Another guy I was with there (he was the first in line) carried Turtle :P

Meeting teams was incredibly hard and getting signatures was basically impossible (from teams at least). the fnatic line before the event on sunday got cut short as well, just before I got to fnatic, so I didn't get a picture with them. Getting to the casters was way easier on the first day. You could literally go to the caster desk when they switched and they would come out, taker single selfies, sign stuff. From the next day on, the venue personell made lines, where everyone had to line up and only pictures.

Basically, TSM's strategy has involved completely ignoring Dyrus in top lane to the point where his purpose in the game is to just survive until late game with no help, and to play supporty champs like lulu every game. The other team's have been taking advantage of this strategy and killing Dyrus 5-8 times every game with no help from TSM's jungler. This makes everything TSM does super predictable, and all the blame is put on Dyrus cause he dies so much each game and is pressured to do stupid stuff like top lane, teleport ignite hecarim.

Salty TSM fans had to choose someone to put all the blame on, but truth is Dyrus is often losing is lane pretty hard but at MSI all the TSM squad played bad so...

Those "fans" aren't true fans, then.
People tend to follow someone until they get a bad streak, after which those same "fans" start preaching shit, since they were never true fans to begin with.

I've always liked Dyrus' playstyle, albeit he isn't the best entertainer in my opinion, but I would never start talking shit about him after ONE mistake, even more so because it wasn't his fault to begin with, and ESPECIALLY since he is a fucking professional and knows what he's doing, so it isn't my place to comment on it.

You'd think people would learn after the billionth time, but no, they don't. They just keep on raging for no damn reason. Like Renevant said, he was camped extremely hard and pretty much got to the point where overextending would mean leaving his base. That's not his fault.

Rumours that the biggest carry player in INTZ (Revolta, jungler) is leaving for another team. For anyone who saw the IWCI, it was noticeable the team was basically made after his decisions.
Kinda sad to see how the brazilian scene doesn't seem to grow up because we just keep on changing players between teams. The same happened to KabuM after they came back from worlds and they almost got relegated to challenger series last split.


btw, pretty sure vel'koz is in a much worse situation than akali (maybe not aatrox). While akali was basically an hypercarry who got downgraded to just being a common champ, Vel and Aatrox have never been in the spotlight, not in competitive scene, nor soloQ (at least high elo). Even champs like Anivia and Singed have appeared more..

Aatrox has seen a decent amount of play in Season 3 in the jungle/top in EU LCS.

I'm pretty sure Vel was picked up once in EU LCS. I think it was nRated.

Thing with Aatrox is that the guy basically leaps in, and if he can't outright kill his opponent, he is as dead as a roadkill.
Akali, despite all the nerfs, is still at least somewhat viable through the midgame, but Aatrox? He's horrible early game, he's horrible mid game and late game, when he should shine and his kit should somehow contribute - he fails utterly.
Unless he gets fed like fuck (and let's be honest, every champ is competitive when hyperfed), or his enemies ignore his existence entirely, he won't be able to do shit.

That nerf is actually just a revision to a change they made a long time ago. About 2 years ago, they buffed her making it so the e would proc her q. She wasn't originally like that and she was op before that change. I think it's mainly due to her other changes along with item changes and new champions that has made her obsolete.
