Hi! From my forum NM/M4M taiko queue.
I am pretty thorough, so don't be annoyed if I point out a lot of issues. A lot of times they are just my opinions, so feel free to object to them. :3
I look at mainly composing: how you map the music. Not just the drums; the vocals, background synth, the symphonic backing, the pauses, everything.
I also look at pattern repetition and consistency, and how you fit in your 1/4 runs.
(Note: If I tell you your Oni isn’t hard enough, that’s just my masochist side speaking, you can most definitely ignore if you wish. ^.^ )
d = don
k = katsu
D = big don
K = big katsu

Very short, simple and polished beatmap, my mod might be short, I hope it's still useful!
00:28:206 - personally I would retain kiai time until here
00:28:206 - also, consider adding multiple timing sections from here on out and lowering hitsound volume for every section, creating the fade out effect
[Muzukashii]
00:13:312 (61) - consider removing, ONLY note for this repeating segment that doesn't follow the pattern
00:17:035 (76) - change to k, following 00:15:333 (68)
[Oni]
00:03:099 (15) - change to k, follow 00:01:397 (6)
[Inner Oni]
00:28:631 (238,239) - change to d k, match melody pitch
00:30:333 (247,248) - ^
[Trainers' eyes Meet]
I would say overmap, but you did specifically say you didn't overmap it... I don't know, I can't hear some of the 5 1/8 notes runs in the music personally, that doesn't mean they aren't there though.
141 bpm = 0.4255 seconds per beat = 0.0532 seconds per 1/8 notes
World fastest drummer = 1208 strokes per minute = 0.0497 seconds per stroke
So the world fastest drummer can JUST about play your 1/8 notes runs.
... ok.
00:29:482 (296) - change to k, match melody
00:31:184 (311) - ^

And also, after looking through my mod, would you mind taking the time to check out my taiko set? <3
There you go! Hope you find this mod helpful, and good luck beatmapping!
