If you have a beatmap that doesn't do well or if you've stopped working on one, you can manually graveyard the map.

Nope
This is AFAIK for the server
You upload a map
The day after you grave it, and upload a new one
A HUGE no for me, sorry

I reject the part after the week the map is deleted forever

I removed that last bit there.

You should be patient with yoru uploads
Don't always upload maps you don't know if you'll finish or not

This feature would destroy the purpose of waiting a month for your map to graveyard as peppy intended to behave.
This was requested many times over the years already.
The only useful request that was passed in 2012 concerning graveyard maps was a feature to disallow the graveyard counter to reset when someone else posted in your map thread.

Back in the days there was possible to ask BATs to grave own maps by request...

I think it would be good to bright such practice back - BATs/QATs may control amount of mapper's graved maps, so if someone would ask too often they may simple refuse to grave...
Bara-
Qat do this now right?
Or can they only delete?
Kodora
Not sure if they still have this as option, but they surely don't do this anymore.
BeatofIke
They do actually lol, but of course it's forbidden unless you have a duplicate map. :P

This is denied many times before, eg t/90349
