technically AoC. (coincidentally it's 66% off on steam atm). I like playing it but it's annoying with Australian latency.
so I just bought into this, lol. it seems sort of gimmicky, but IMO it's worth it for the chance that it actually has an effect on my life. I'll get some digital copies too if anyone wants them.

if you get this patch you can play on voobly with your HD from steam aswell, but for some reason i prefer HD.
I prefer HD as well. When I tried the patch (as well as the dvd version) the game seems laggy with low fps in comparison to HD. (aoe stream on atm)
Man i played AoM some time ago and damn i suck.
Only won some champagin games because i abused the shoddy AI, making walls with a hole some distance off and then spiking it with towers so the enemy walks along the wall and gets shot.

im not nearly as good at aom as i am at aoe2 either. i just played it ages ago for fun every now and then, but never multiplayer.
I loved it when the enemy left big holes in his wall because there was a forest in between
just get that fire ammo upgrade thing and burn the forest down with your catapults
I think AoM was great too but Titans were a bit too strong for a balanced multiplayer experience imo
Also the old building system was better with a grid, especially for building walls. It wasn't nearly as glitchy in AoM as it was in Stronghold 3 but still annoying at times

Agreed, they are strong enough to defeat some of the weaker heroes by themselfes, crush buildings like a pro and can heal themselfes at ressource nodes (gg enemy, you kicked back my titans so ill eat your gold mine and come back!)BrokenArrow wrote:

They're painfully slow and rather pricy though, its not like you cant counter them.

yeah except the titan gates are expensive and take forever to build so you can just outright win the game while your opponent is getting their titan out unless they're really far ahead in which case you'd have been screwed regardless
or if you use teamwork to defend the person building the gate
