The new generation of osu!

Would you consider us in the new generation of osu! players?
Most of the players from osu!'s ancient times are now starting to leave pretty darn quickly while the newer players take their place. This new generation of players is more adapted to the newer maps, which is pretty much making the old maps almost completely irrelevant.

We may have another year or so until we are pretty much in the new generation of osu! but hey, this is just a theory of mine.


What are your thoughts on this? Leave a reply if you have anything to say about this.

im sad to see all the people who can only play 2013-2014 tv size maps with DT

no love for old cs5 ar8 maps anymore :(

I can't play them, does it mean I'm not a part of the new generation? In fact, I can't play anything with DT ;_;

I still play stuff like this from time to time.

Some old maps are fun and sometimes they make a lot more sense than newer maps. People need to try them.

I once play only pre-2011 cs5 maps for an hour and my aim improves a lot. Oh, and ar8 best ar.

I started this year, but I do enjoy playing the old maps. They somehow help me play better.

Wish there were more cs5 maps. They're great for precision training. Heck I would take on smaller cs. Go go cs6!

I started playing less than a year ago, and I enjoy older maps so much.

I downloaded almost all of the first beatmap packs and play the old maps a lot. But hey, that's just. It is true that most players can only DT crappy MLP(p) songs, which sucks.

I really like some older maps, as well as some of the newer AR8 maps. If you only play AR9+ you really limit the songs you can play.

All of you kids are newsupporters and there's been newsupporters every year for the last 3 years.

The idea of newsupporters, or this "new generation", is nothing new (but that doesn't mean you're not new).
